I'm not an artist or can even draw so I feel sort of weird about criticizing someone's work but have to agree with the guy in the video that the art work is hit and miss. Tim Donst, Icarus, and Johnny Garango are really off but The Throwbacks, Osirian Portal, and Archibald Peck are awesome. I thought the hand book could have used a lot more back round on the wrestlers and Chikara especially since it's an introductory set. I rolled out some matches last night and thought the cards really work good as stand alone set and with the New Beginnings cards but dont think they'll work with the existing Legends and LOTF cards. Overall I think the set is pretty good

Pretty interesting to hear an outsider's review of the game. Thanks for posting. Maybe I'll do an unboxing for 2127! I agree. While most love it like myself, it's nice to not hear the typical greatest thing ever reviews (and to he honest, I've never been disappointed in the product besides that crappy Gustovich art and the majority of Bendis) I'd like to see a further review once he plays more One complaint is I'd rather see a standalone box rather than the Legends one with a Chikara sticker

Got these in the mail. So far, I love these cards. Almost every match I've played has been a complete war, the art for the most part looks nice in person, and I got two COTG cards (Lord Nexus and Scorn) with my order. Some of the stats caught me by surprise, like Kingston's 4(1) Pin rating. That's not a negative, though, I expect that to help carry him pretty far in my fed. For a while (since around when I stopped doing LLUSA/LLI on the OBoard) I'd needed something to revitalize my interest in the game (and while LLI in the LWA kind of did that), I think this might be it.

I supplemented my roster with the Young Bucks, Gran Akuma, Crossbones and Dr. Cube. They've all meshed really well and the Young Bucks have performed fairly well.
The only person that I find to be a problem is Larry Sweeney. He just doesn't fit anywhere.

I'm thinking about making the Bucks semi-regular guest stars and bringing Akuma in full time. I don't have Cube/Crossbones (unfortunately) but I'm not that broken up about not having them.

Crossbones is a good card, you should consider getting him. He's tough but ultimately loses.
The Bucks were in my tag tournament and made some big noise before getting eliminated. They're going to be regulars.

I'll probably order Crossbones when I order the Five Pack with the Batiri/Los Ice Creams

Something that just struck me as kind of weird about Icarus...he has the Pedigree AND the Wings of Icarus on his card and they're...the same exact move.

I think he does both. One is the Pedigree and one is like Daniel's Angel Wings.

I want to add to the bitch about the Chikara box. I thought the cover to the manual was going to be the cover to the box so I bought it. I was not a happy camper when I got an LOW box with a Chikara sticker. Needless to say, it went in the trash. Big disappointment. A new box would've been awesome.

Maybe when they run out of LOW boxes they might make a new Chikara box.

I want to add to the bitch about the Chikara box. I thought the cover to the manual was going to be the cover to the box so I bought it. I'm the opposite, I was bummed out that I didn't buy the boxed version until I saw that's what the box was.

It wasn't a huge deal. I just thought they had made a box for it for whatever reason.

Johnny Saint's card was different. Instead of having a finisher on offense he has it twice on defense. The only other card I can think of like like this is DDP. Overall it looks like Saint has one of the strongest cards in the Chikara universe.
