Just wanted to get everyone's thoughts on this. Last weekend it former Penn State Defensive Coordinator Jerry Sandusky was arrested and charged with sexually assaulting at least one teenage boy. It later came out that an incident involving Sandusky and a young boy was reported to Paterno in 2002. Paterno reported the incident to Penn State and recently made statements he believed what he was told. Paterno didn't witness the incident was just told about it but after 30 years of working closely with Sandusky you would think Paterno and Penn State would have had some inclination about Sandusky and his issues with young boys. Plus if Paterno truly believed what he was told like he says you would think he would have either reported the incident to the police and pushed Penn State to report it. Should Paterno forced to resign and should he be allowed to continue ?

Go? As in go straight to Hell. Yes. He should. Get in line right after Sandusky and the douchbag assistant who saw Sandusky butt F'ing a 10 year old and did nothing about it. They can all rot in Hell and I'm sure Satan has a two foot long spiked dildo waiting for them.

If I saw it happening? I'd broke the guy's neck...

Doesn't Ty write for Penn State? I wonder what he has to say with this sick criminal act and it is official that Paterno will retire at the end of the Season. He and those who knew of this should step down now and no matter what happens now this is a forever Dark Cloud over the Colleges History...

Every day that he remains there makes Penn State look that much worse. He should've been fired the second that story hit.

Reading & Listening all about this story you see that the Officials at Penn State are trying to save face for the College & Football program with the cover-up that went on for a decade and now allowing Joe Paterno at this time to retire at seasons ends, continues to make things worse...

What really makes Paterno look bad is that he said he completely believed what he was told in 2002. That shows you it wasn't anything he didn't already know about for years

When these fucks go to prison, I hope they're raped daily by a felon, preferably with AIDS.

I swear to God, I hate fucking jackoffs.
Those in JoPa's "inner circle" were upset the way he was fired. Yeah, but weren't upset that a grown man was sucking a 10 year olds privates. I'd live to smack these people with a spiked mace. Fucking idiots...along with these asshole students rioting, destroying property.
Should have been rioting when they found out when there was a child sex scandal being covered up

Also heard on the news last night that there is going to be a federal investigation into Penn State and the way they handled or didn't handle everything. Hopefully something will come of that. If I'm right Paterno would be considered a mandated reporter and is required bty law to report abuse to the police not just his supervisors en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mandated_reporter

Went from Penn State to the State Pen for these guys. Hopefully justice is served in this case, although the permanent damage done to the children won't ever fully go away. It is crazy to think about how a few weeks ago Joe Paterno was known as one of the best college football coaches ever, and now his 50+ years or whatever will be a footnote to this sex scandal.

I find what happened at Penn State appalling, sickening. The fact that the coaches, AD, and admin knew and DID NOTHING is incomprehensible. The fact the NCAA (which I consider the most worthless, self serving organization in the civilized world) has to date been sitting on their thumbs is sickening.
I hope all involved get what is coming to them.
