I re-registered just to reply to this, but my account's awaiting approval so I used the guest feature for this:
I've seen that dude post some pretty out there shit (like asking if there were any bootlegs out there for Steve Austin...OF COURSE THERE ARE, JUST FUCKING LOOK FOR THEM), but this really bothered me. How the fuck are you gonna ask for goddamn Invader?

I don't even know what to say.

I try to measure my responses a little, but I can see why you would react that way. I just chalked it up to someone being oblivious, or maybe some sort of "disassociation" between the wrestler in question and the crime he perpetrated.
Go vote on the ROH poll if you get a chance---you know, if you get approved. It'll be better for your overall mental well-being than that other stuff.

I saw that poll, so is that whole thing going to go anywhere or is it just what it seems like; a poll for the sake of having a poll. Because honestly, with there being a couple of posts about it the past few days, it's kind of implied that it's leading somewhere. Off topic, but what are the chances we'd ever get Mike Awesome in LOW?

Never say never I guess. You'll have to track down his family and that could be tricky.

I tend to believe it's leading somewhere. I don't think Swarm's a big enough ROH fan to come up with this just to amuse himself. Maybe it's just advance scouting/interest gauging before making a proposal to ROH; maybe it's something farther along than that. Mike Awesome? I don't know about the odds, but I'd sure be happy with that card. Of course, I'd just use him as That 70s Guy and team him with Buzzkill Brad Armstrong......

Maybe it's just advance scouting/interest gauging before making a proposal to ROH; maybe it's something farther along than that. That's what it comes off as, I kind of hope we'd get a ROH color set but I don't think the hardcore ROH fans or the people running the company would 'get' the game. Mike Awesome? I don't know about the odds, but I'd sure be happy with that card. Of course, I'd just use him as That 70s Guy and team him with Buzzkill Brad Armstrong...... I could see a lot of people using him as That 70s Guy whereas I'm the only person who would probably use him as ECW Mike Awesome. Here's another question related to Awesome: If he got a card (since we're talking hypothetical shit here), what are the chances the card would look like Knapik's bootleg of him stat wise? I think that card is basically perfect.

I think they're trying to gauge a little interest to lure in RoH a little more. I could see the deal easily falling through at some point though or falling off a cliff after the first set gets released. I think the best approach is if it happens, it happens.

I'm not sure they haven't missed the boat on RoH... 5 years ago, I would have loved it. Now, we have most of the guys I'd want already, and color isn't going to add anything to anyone on the RoH roster.
I'd rather see PWG or NWA Hollywood or some other indy that has more interesting CHARACTERS and more people that don't already have cards.

The problem with PWG is that almost their entire roster are under contract with ROH, so basically wanting a PWG color set, minus a few guys, is almost the exact same thing as wanting a ROH color set.

A lot of the guys I like that are in Chikara already have LOTF cards. Would have really liked a LOTF El Generico card though. It seems the more people talk about the Chikara set, the more it seems like it is an actual stand alone set not meant to be compatible with LOW which is another thing I don't like.

I agree with Wildfire.....a lot of the guys are already there, and I just can't see much use for mostly reprints....as well, it would pretty much be telling all future customers to skip LOTF as almost everyone from them is in CHIKARA or ROH or will be at some point.

It is and it isn't. I have LOTF in my Chikara and they do well enough. The Chikara guys all tend to have weaker defenses.

The Chikara guys are more in the style of the newer GWF guys with more down-3's on defense, etc. I wouldn't say that the cards aren't compatible, just that they are put together differently, kind of like GWF 2107 vs. GWF 2127 (and no Monolith types in Chikara).

Threadjacking back to the original topic, maybe the guy is somehow unaware of what Invader did...
