I find the only way to use him is as a feud guy........build him up with a steady diet of low mid carders/jobbers........stretcher a few guys and then bring in the big mid-card face, or even better your rising face contender
.......have a bit of a feud......a strecher match maybe...
......repackage and send him to new territory....or shelve him for awhile....
......I always thought of him as a mid-card stepping stone for my big rising face....
In this role......he is quite effective.....

Well the Developmental Talent are treating him like a child! I guess he didn't understand in the meeting that I want him to give these young guys an education not the other way around.
I was going to have Billy Red Lyons (who is one of the trainers/mentors) come to their aid for a big Main Event show at their next House show but damn I don't want to see Ox get Buried. Hmm might have to do what I always do in situations like this.....send him to Japan. ;D

Well Baker is FINALLY stepping up! He Brutalized Billy Red Lyons (with the help of Roddy Piper-PNW version after the bout.) and injured him! Now I am hoping he is able to stay on top and giev the up and comers a run for their money. I had the Forest City Heavyweight Champion: Timber come out and stop them from injuring Lyons further. I'm thinking of running a feud in which Timber takes up the challenge since Lyons is out for quite a few cards. Put the title on the line near the end of the feud and see what happens.
I have a feeling Baker might not meet the challenge but we will see. So far he has become the Monster Heel I wanted and if it continues could really put over some of the younger talent if they can beat him. But if Timber squashes him I think I will be sending him to Japan.

Well cannot explain it but Baker continues to mow down the competition! I swear his card is playing up to how I was wanting him to play from day one. Most will think I am totally off my rocker with my amazement and excitement but you have to understand that I have been wanting Baker to perform like this as a Monster Heel for years it seems and now he is FINALLY doing it!
I'm freaking ecstatic!

Just an update.
Baker has been menacing my developmental fed consistantly now for a month and now I am getting worried that he is gonna drop off right when the feud gets hot. So I am thinking of implementing Smathis' strategy options to keep him on top.

He is starting to do better since I made him the enforcer of the King's Court in my fed (Race, Hennigs, and Ox). It is weird, I put him in the same matches he was losing every time before he joined the King's Court, and now he is winning them! I guess maybe being around Harley Race, something rubbed off on him.

Well he is still causing some pain in my Developmental fed. I just wonder if that will change once Legends of the Future comes out?

In year five, Baker is finally gaining some traction..he and King Kong Bundy won my newly instated US Tag Team titles, and have held them through two tours...and this came, of course, right as I was about to completely write them off as a team.

Nice! So I wonder what it is? What makes Ox go through these fluctuations? Obviously the dice come into play but what is it about his card that can either make him do rather well or make him worse than SD Jones?
And his Heart Punch I have found hard for him to hit successfully. He has done it once for me and that was during a match with Danny Doring who he injured with it and sent him out of my fed. Since then he never hits it. I keep imagining Frank Tunney taking him into the office and telling him that he cannot do it anymore or something.
Ox is just the odd card for me. I want him to be that Menacing Heel I so remember but just not sure how long it will last.
