What a historic night it was in Reseda! The American Legion Hall #308 was packed with fans who wanted to see the best wrestling in the world today. Diamond Dallas Page and Nigel McGuinness made it to the finals of the A1 World Championship Tournament after beating out six other men. In the end, DDP beat McGuinness after he reversed a Jawbreaker Lariat into a Diamond Cutter.
When it comes to a number one contender, it was announced that Frank Gotch and Bryan Danielson will lock up next month to see who will be the one that faces Nigel McGuinness to determine a number one contender for Diamond Dallas Page’s newly won belt. DDP, on the other hand, will be in a non-title situation next month, as he will take on a surprise guest opponent.
Lastly, more A1 gold will be on the line as eight tag teams meet in a single elimination tournament to crown the A1 Tag Team Champions. No team has officially been announced, but two foreign teams have been rumored to be in the tournament.
Notes:
*1 Steve Corino interfered in the match by pushing Snuka off the turnbuckle.
*2 McGuinness busted open Danielson with a Jawbreaker Lariat.
*3 McGuinness also busted open Gotch with a Jawbreaker Lariat.
