Haha, I was honestly referring to the tagline I add after the event names rather than the threads themselves.

Man, I remember when WWE or WCW PPVs seemed like a big event. You would count the days and weeks down until the show was getting here. Now, I just feel beaten down by it.

You know what I was thinking as I watched Stephanie 'trick' Heyman into accepting the match?
It'd be a little more believable that Lesnar and Heyman were reluctant if, you know, Brock wasn't on the poster for the PPV.

And had they not started airing the commercials for the PPV featuring Brock.

I just realized this is only 3 weeks away... with no build for anything yet.
For the 2nd biggest PPV of the year? that's not good, IMO.
What do you think the card will be like?
I still think a three-way for the title with Cena/Show/Punk. Wouldn't surprise me if, during that match Show sides with Punk and becomes his bodyguard or something.
I'm hopin' for Jericho-Ziggler, but no mention of that Monday.
IIRC, they're doing a #1 contender match for Smackdown, so I guess whoever wins will fight Sheamus... can't say I care, really.
Maybe Miz will get on the card, though he doesn't really have a program right now, and the match with Christian didn't really warrant a re-match.
Maybe Charlie Sheen Vs Danielson (god, I hope not)

Jericho vs. Ziggler seems likely, Punk vs. Cena vs. Show will probably happen, Sheamus will beat whoever he faces because he's Hunter's boy, we'll probably get something between Danielson/Charlie Sheen....I don't know. My cousin's paying for most of this show or else I wouldn't even fucking bother.

We got the title matches.. but I don't see anything else on the horizon... they really need to get going.
Orton will surely have a match, can't picture with who though, unless Barrett's going to be back by then.

Kane vs. Danielson added. I actually want to see this more than the other announced matches.

Read in the new The Wrestler/Inside Wrestling the other day a very valid point. It used to be that a PPV match was the blow off to a long fued, but now with monthly PPVs thwy have to get matches onto each card, so we get a bunch of stuff that would normally be a 2 minute TV match. And lets not even start with the idea of a Hell in a Cell PPV. The HIAC was supposed to be the ultimate blow off to a huge fued, not a match that we need to see every year at a certain PPV. At Wrestlemania, Taker vs Triple H made sense in a HIAC. But it loses some magic every time it is used outside of the ultimate blow off match.

In my opinion they've watered everything down so much that the lineup for Summer Slam, outisde of arguably the Brock Lesnar match, looks like any regular episode of RAW. I believe they give away too much on television and the "I win one, you win one" nature of the booking keeps anyone from getting very hot. Also, when did they forget how to make credible heels? Must have been sometimes around that moment when Benoit and Guerrero hugged in the ring because that ruined everything.

Agree with both of you guys. Also, Jericho vs. Ziggler added.

The three hour Raws are going to make this problem worse over time.
