I didn't want to post this on the official forum because I don't want "change and go with the times or get over it" flame.
Dustin Neal @dustincneal @tomfilsinger What are your thoughts on LOW and B&W? Do you see LOW going color? Do you plan to set LOW aside and stay with current feds?
Tom Filsinger @tomfilsinger @dustincneal Great questions. I'm keeping my thoughts open, trying to do what's best for the game and our fans.
Your thoughts?

I'm not entirely sure. Maybe Legends is going to go PDF or color. I'm not totally sure, Tom seems to not know entirely what he wants to do with it.
I would be okay with a PDF every couple of months and not getting a new print edition for a couple of years if they need to build some bigger names up. I've been really happy with the smaller influx of guys lately.

The feeling may be that black and white as a print release has run its course. It's a real hard sale to bring in new customers with the black and white cards, even though the established fans love them. I know that from firsthand experience. The color COTG and Chikara cards get their attention, the Legends cards get "why are they in black and white?". I don't believe the old stuff that sells out is being reprinted, and I think sales to new customers have slipped as far as I can tell.
Also, to be very real and honest, the list of "main eventers" that are possible to get into the game is wearing thin. There has been an astonishing amount of luck involved in getting some of the greats of all time to agree to be a part of a humble card and dice game like Legends Of Wrestling, but I think that virtually all of the "marquee stars" that can be obtained, have been. By that I mean the guys who will drive sales of expansion sets to the masses, not the hardcore fans who will buy no matter who is included. Steve Stanley is a top-notch, A-level artist who does not come cheap and there has to be sales to justify the cost of production. Freddie Blassie is a top level guy in my book, but it's a hard sell to have him as the star of an expansion edition and get casual fans to be excited. Even Jimmy Hart, as virtually iconic as he is, will get the "but he's just a manager" treatment from the casual fan. Blassie was the best they had to headline the last set, and he was a last minute addition. There may be one or two more rabbits to pull out of hats, but that's it.
In my opinion, it's time to go color and re-release certain key wrestlers and new additions in that format; or switch to smaller, more frequent pdf and online releases with the B-level stars and lesser known talent. I'm fine with either option (or both). Black and white, traditional Legends Of Wrestling lives on in a huge pre-existing roster and a gigantic pool of high quality bootleg cards to choose from (many by the very talent involved in the official cards; Chad, Werner, Cory, etc).

I think at this point in the game's life cycle that PDF releases are probably the best route to go. If you can't get big names, then give the existing fanbase more content. I personally, don't need anymore main eventers. It's hard enough keeping the guys I have cycled in and out of the main event scene. I always need mid-carders and lower-card guys. A constant influx of those guys is what I'm always looking for and getting excited for. This last set is a perfect example of what I want/need from releases. I got a new tag team and a couple of guys that can fill out my undercards and keep my promotion fresh.

I've got some under card wrestlers I'll be doing stats for.

I don't mind PDFs. Heck, I'd wish all the old sets would be put in PDF for. Also, I don't mind going color. If FG can keep a grasp on the Indy scene, that's cool. However, that wait for ROH is killing me. I want to put my CHIKARA, NWA Hollywood, CZW, and ROH together to do my own Indy fed of color cards. I'd also be nice to see older cards come in color form if they do plan to stick with color.

If it's between PDFs or having to have the sets in color, I'd definitely go with PDF.
