Two title matches...and holy crap they're gonna do the PWG ladder match in the main event.

I kind of consider this their biggest show of the year and wow, those are some shitty matches. That tag title match has no business being on a paid show.

Are you joking, maddog? I am real excited about this lineup. Every match has a reason for being there and fans who have been watching all year get to see storylines come to natural fruition with Elgin/Strong and even RD/Nana.

The tag title match sounds bleh, I'll give you that, but Elgin vs. Roderick and that ladder match are both going to be good, if not better than that. Are you joking, maddog? Every match has a reason for being there and fans who have been watching all year get to see storylines come to natural fruition with Elgin/Strong and even RD/Nana. Bingo. Speculated matches: ROH World TV Championship: Adam Cole (ch) vs. Matt Hardy Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly vs. Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards

My problem with the main event is that I don't believe for a second that El Generico will win the belt.

If they were smart, he would.

Yeah, Generico has the disadvantage of being out of the company most of the year. He has the long, traditional storyline behind him though. It's really been an old school type of feud they've built with them over the past few years. I REALLY hope he wins it, even if he turns right around and drops the belt to someone else.

Unless he turns around and loses it to Jay Lethal, because fuck that guy.

El Generico isn't marketable like that though. You don't put a World Title on El Generico, you put tag titles and secondary titles on El Generico. There are numerous things that are wrong with Steen's reign. I think one of the biggest problems is there has yet to be a title defense where I thought he would lose for even a second.
This match honestly should've been Jay Lethal beating Steen for the title.

El Generico isn't marketable like that though. Yeah, one of the most popular non-WWE talents on the face of the planet who is obviously loved by pretty much any crowd he works in front of isn't marketable as World Champion. You can't possibly market an excellent wrestler under a mask who has charisma and can get any crowd behind him. But wait... This match honestly should've been Jay Lethal beating Steen for the title. Yeah, a guy who has terrible promos who doesn't sell much, if any merch, who the majority of die hard fans hate and mainstream fans remember as a shitty Randy Savage ripoff. HE should be the one getting the belt. Not Generico.

I like El Generico a lot. Still wouldn't put the belt on him. I 'don't think his gimmick works for the main belt unless you're using him as a transitional champ. He would be better than Steen but I don't think he's the guy that's going to get the company on track. It certainly doesn't help that he's been MIA for a really long time.
At least Lethal had charisma when he was doing Randy Savage. I still don't understand why RoH doesn't let him work that gimmick since you know it would be entertaining.

Blame his absence on Cornette. Same guy you can really blame for Colt being gone, too. The question wasn't whether or not the gimmick works as champ, it was that Generico wasn't marketable. He is. Anyone is better than Steen. The company's booking of World Champions since the Sinclair buyout has been pathetic. Generico could at least hold the belt through WM weekend. Anyone saying Generico beating Steen would be bad is out of their mind. He makes the most sense. At least Lethal had charisma when he was doing Randy Savage. I still don't understand why RoH doesn't let him work that gimmick since you know it would be entertaining. I'd rather he just go away. I can't stand Jay Lethal.

It's not bad unless you try to get a year out of Generico like you did Steen.

It's not bad unless you try to get a year out of Generico like you did Steen. Steen's only been champ for six months.
