1999 was pretty awful in retrospect as well.

WCW had some really good stuff the first 6 months of the year or so. Then they fell off a cliff.

Which year? 98 or 99? Because I can't remember anything remotely good from 1998 WCW outside of maybe couple of cruiserweight matches. Same for 1999 WCW too. 2000 WCW was rad as fuck though. Goldberg vs. Steiner at Fall Brawl 2000 was like top 5 WCW match easily.

1999 had Juvy vs. Blitzkrieg, Benoit vs. Hart and the Benoit/Malenko/Raven/Saturn/Mysterio/Kidman/Hennig/Windham tag team title stuff.

You left out Mikey Whipwreck vs. Kidman which was a great match. The sad part is as good as that stuff is, it doesn't save 1999 from being shitty. WWF had Hardyz/E&C in a ladder match, Rock/Mankind in a ladder match and Rock/Mankind I Quit. All Japan was pretty meh in 1999, New Japan was not as good as some say it was. ECW had Awesome/Tanaka and RVD/Lynn but other than that, meh. God. 1999 was so meh.

Lynn vs. RVD was pretty overrated.

When you compare them to the rest of what happened in 1999? Not at all.

I thought Tajiri vs. Psicosis was better.
There was also Benoit vs. Hart and Benoit vs. Jarrett from Mayhem that year. Both were good matches.

I don't have dates but this is the WCW 1999 list off the top of my head:
Curt Hennig and Barry Windham vs. Benoit and Malenko - 2 PPV matches.
Benoit and Malenko vs. Raven and Saturn
Benoit and Malenko vs. Raven and Saturn vs. Kidman and Mysterio
Sting vs. DDP - Nitro
Juventud Guerrera vs. Blitzkrieg
Kidman vs. Whipwreck
Benoit vs. Hart - Owen tribute
That was just the first 4 months of the year. WCW proceeded to fall off the face of the earth after this.

Benoit/Bret was in October. "10/4/99 Bret Hart vs. Chris Benoit ****1/4"

My memory is shit for this time frame. That makes sense though. So they did that and then rematched for the belt at Mayhem.

The breakdown of the list at this moment looks like this: 14 NJPW matches 11 ROH matches 10 WWE matches 2 AJPW matches 1 AAA match 1 NOAH match 1 TNA match
Someone please tell me again how I never praise anything WWE related.
