I don't really follow PWG due to the financially investment involved with it. But I did notice they haven't really appeared on your list this year. Is that a lack of watching on your part or are they having a down year?

Mostly that I don't have the money to get caught up on their shows. A friend got me a copy of Is Your Body Ready? and I'm going to be watching that at some point this weekend. A lot of their cards this year have been pretty meh to me. 2011/2012 PWG was phenomenal and Dragon was really on point with booking but this year he's opted for a bunch of CZW type garbage and that pointless Cole/Sami iron man match.

I honestly haven't even watched much Championship Wrestling from Hollywood and that's going to be the norm now that they hired Matt Striker for commentary.
NXT is just so easy. I turn on Hulu and it's right there. The production values are awesome and most of the really top indy guys are there right now.

NXT is fantastic from all the stuff I've watched. I need to get Hulu (or a trial...again) for that Claudio/Generico 2/3 Falls match.

I watched Cena/Bryan via Youtube. Holy shit that was a fucking epic encounter. Them slapping the shit out of each other was awesome. I never though I would see that in a WWE ring. Anyone that says Cena can't wrestle needs to fucking watch that.

God I wish AJ Lee was in TNA. She has so much potential that will never get realized in a WWE ring. I would love to see her wrestle Gail Kim.

Gonna bump with a write-up and video of the current #1 match:
Katsuyori Shibata vs. Tomohiro Ishii; NJPW 8/4:
This is probably my favorite match ever and it's funny I say that given that this match is barely two months old. There's so much to love about this match. For one, it has a constant pace, the two never let up. Second, they are legitimately beating the ever loving crap out of each other. Third, the crowd is fantastic but I think most importantly is the story being told.
Ishii is basically the modern day Riki Choshu and Shibata slips into the Akira Maeda role very well. Choshu hated shooters because of what Maeda did and indoctrinated all of his dudes with that mindset. Ishii is one of Choshu's dudes. Shibata is the shooter who left the company and came back to, in his own words, 'pick a fight' and for him it's easy to overlook Ishii. He's the short, stubby, chubby underdog who may have beaten Tanahashi two days prior, but that was at Ishii's building, Korakuen Hall. How much more luck can the guy have against top level competition?
