Saw him live versus Nigel in NYC and really enjoyed the match. Outside of that it has only been on DVD, but he is still fun to watch.

He's okay but I never got the massive hype he used to get when NOAH was the in thing to like. I thought KENTA was a little overrated at the time too but only a tiny bit. I would just never put Marufuji anywhere in a list of top junior weights. He was just bland and predictable.

Updated with the matches I could gather from the TV taping.

Shouldn't that be Jay Briscoe vs. Adam Cole?

I'm not into this card so far. They're going to have to really flesh out the undercard to get me excited about this. Try as they may, I'm still not sold on Adam Cole as a world title contender and main event headliner.

I buy him as a World Champion, but that's not going off his ROH work where he's supposed to be bland as fuck for no reason at all.

To be precise, his ROH persona does not capture my imagination in a way that I think "this is the guy who should be world champion". He still seems to be programmed more like the traditional babyface upstart than serious contender.

He apparently goes heel on upcoming TV...apparently Davey/O'Reilly had a legit MOTYC and Elgin/Machine Gun tore the house down...not that either of those are shocking in the least.

Saw the spoilers, didn't see anything in-depth about Cole. Hooligans came in for a weekend and did the honors for two different teams. However, Anderson was there for the weekend and beat two of the top guys in the company including one scheduled for an upcoming iPPV main event title match. I wonder if this means we're going to be seeing more of him going forward. I can't think of any other reason he'd come in and win two big matches like that.
BTW, Elgin is on a role of good matches the likes of which hasn't been seen in some time. I have not seen a bad match out of him in the past year.

They've always let Japanese talent go over their top guys.

They've always let Japanese talent go over their top guys. KENTA didn't. Marufuji didn't. Neither did Nakajima. The Dragon Gate guys didn't beat top guys. Morishima is the only one that really did.
