We're a while into them now but I still don't get the Ambrose love. His promos seem forced and lame not to mention that I think the reason the Shield wear the armor is to hide his less than impressive physique. I really think Rollins and Reigns have the better potential. But then again, everyone said Morrison over Miz and Dibiase over Orton. It often seems lately that Vince watches the Internet just so he can say fuck you guys, I'll show you.

Well if you don't like the guy, I'm not going to come in here and try to make you like him. To me, he's easily the best guy in the group. Best on the mic, best in the ring, best overall.

I won't totally discount his ring skills because in the E, none of them really have a huge body of work. I appreciate that people have different tastes but his promos just to seem to all be bad line, lame smirk, repeat. On one end, Rollins can wrestle circles around him. On the other, Reigns makes him look like a weakling.

Who said DiBiase over Orton? Orton was already well established when Legacy was created. Maybe you meant Rhodes, and I'll definitely give you that. Morrison was a fantastic heel with great, believable cockiness, but a pretty lame "good guy". Had the positions been reversed right off the bat, with Miz playing the face role in that split, Morrison would still be around and a major star and Miz would be doing reality shows again. He's been the absolute shits as a face, just like Morrison was.
I have frankly not watched anything Ambrose has done in the WWE since I catch the odd episode of NXT and that's it now, but he has a natural ability to connect to the crowd that will serve him well. Of all of the guys in Shield, my own personal taste notwithstanding, I think Roman Reigns has the most potential to reach the WWE masses. He's got the "it factor" along with the look McMahon has "educated" his fans into believing is what makes a star.

Yeah, I meant Rhoads. Typed Orton.

Reigns reminds me a lot of Batista when Batista was in Evolution. I think Ambrose is still trying to find his groove connecting with the audience as he's good but doesn't stand out on his own yet. Rollins is great in the ring, but I think he falls more into the category of "solid hand" though I could see him finding a way to break that ceiling too.
Basically I think the Shield is awesome, just wonder how long they ride out the six man tags before they break them up.

I'm not sure what is about Rollins. I like his wrestling and he can cut a good promo. I think there is something about his voice. Almost like a lisp like Swagger. I do like Reigns intensity a lot. He's never going to cut a Flair promo but he doesn't need to.

I agree with Havoc. I never saw any of him as Jon Moxley, but Ambrose does nothing for me. Rollins has definitely been the 3rd guy (I feel) so far, but I know as Tyler Black he was good, so I can hope it's coming.
Reigns, to me, seems the best fit for the 'WWE Style', and is better on the mic than most of the other recent powerful, athletic wrestlers they've pushed (Ezekiel Jackson comes to mind, as does Bobby Lashley, though that's not that recent).

Just dawned at me that Lashley's been gone for over five years. Holy crap.

I'd love to see Lashley return to face Brock someday. There was a reason people called him Black Lesnar... though it had a lot to do with his ring entrance of hopping on to the apron with both feet the way Brock would.

And Reigns is a sorely needed big man if he succeeds. I like the 5'10 guys that come with tons of work rate, but I just don't like the fact that 5'10 Big E Langston can have the name 'Big' when he would have been dwarfed by a third of the roster ten years ago.

Dwarfed as far as height, sure. Dwarfed as far as overall muscle mass goes? Not likely.
