I've run a version of an LOTF fed since 2008. Actually, funny side story to this, I ran my first LOTF card about 2 weeks after I started dating my wife.
Anyways, for that entire period of time Mike Quackenbush has been at or near the top of my promotions. He held the belt 4 times in my original Underground promotion and 2 times in my failed reboot from last year. He also made it to the Finals of the NXT Championship Tournament. So that's 5 years with 6 championship reigns and one victory away from a 7th one. Needless to say, I've gotten a little tired of Mike as my defacto top babyface. I decided to give him maybe a 4-6 month break to try and freshen him up a little bit. I just hit a wall with him on top. I felt like he's feuded with everyone and that I was kind of booking in circles with the guy. Has this happened to any of you with any of your various promotions?
Weird sidenote to this, the only promotion that Mike wasn't very successful in for me was Chikara.

I do this with guys that are kinda wearing out there welcome a bit and hogging a spot some other competitors could be holding that could liven things up in my fed. So I will have them take a leave of absence and not use them for awhile. Sometimes it is due to injury other times just a much needed time off. I say phase him out for a while and bring him back in when the angle warrants it.
