Cena challenging for the World Heavyweight Championship is like Steve Austin challenging for the Hardcore Title. Wait no, the Hardcore title meant more.

I want to know who in the fuck is in charge of making posters for the PPV. That is so beyond awful (not as bad as that Summerslam one). Why in the hell is even on a PPV poster? Pathetic, uncreative, boring.

That one gives the Bound for Glory poster a run for it's money in sheer awfulness.

Especially considering there's almost no change R-Truth will even be booked on the PPV.

He's been feuding with Curtis Axel, he could end up on the show.

I just read the results of this show. They had a chance to do some interesting things, and they went with the same old, same old. Del Rio could have won with his submission on Cena's bad arm, thus (finally) making Del Rio look like something and also setting up a storyline about whether Cena came back too soon and if pride was getting in his way. Nope, Superman is back with a vengeance and YOU WILL LOVE IT!
Then there's the finish to Bryan and Orton. Anyone who didn't see "Bryan eats a superkick, Orton gets the pin" coming the MINUTE they inserted Shawn into the match as special referee has not seen a WWE show in the last ten years. I wasn't sure which path of the "a,b, or c" video game season mode WWE style booking they were going to take to get there, but I knew it was coming.
The rest of the show looks like filler to me. This is one of the reasons why I haven't bothered with WWE shows in over a year now. Even reading about them is frustrating.

Yeah, this show marks my giving up on WWE again. They have all this new and interesting talent and it's fucking HHH on top again.
I expected Cena to win and then for Sandow to cash in but that never happened here.

And I will bring it up again. How many times does Orton get to fail as a main eventer before they stop going back to him?

And I will bring it up again. How many times does Orton get to fail as a main eventer before they stop going back to him? Orton is miraculously on his fourth strike in the three strikes program, so I think he's pretty much bullet proof. One thing the WWE has proven in the post-attitude era is that it doesn't matter if the fans want someone on top, they will get who Vince McMahon and cronies want them to have. I don't think Orton has had any real traction since 2008, and even then it seemed kind of forced.

I was trying to think of all his Wellness violations, failed runs and other assorted failures and I can't even come close to remembering them all. I want to say this is like his 8th or 9th chance on top?
Was 2008 when the fans were demanding they put the belt on Hardy and Orton went over at the Rumble and the crowd just went dead silent for the rest of the show?
The thing that kills me with Orton. You could take the effort they put into him. Divide it among 5 other guys on the roster and they would probably be just as over as Orton. I think Orton at his most over has never been as over as DB currently is.

Okay not 100% silent but they totally deflated when Orton won.

Okay not 100% silent but they totally deflated when Orton won. Yeah, they totally weren't into the opening of the Rumble with Undertaker and Shawn facing off, or any of the major stars coming out in the Rumble and Cena's return didn't get a huge reaction. Totally deflated.
