Goto vs. Shibata was kinda sorta confirmed by the King of Pro Wrestling card game box art for the Wrestle Kingdom 8 set. The box also has Okada, Naito, Tanahashi and Nakamura. Notice that the other four guys on the box are in matches against each other, so I think it all but confirms Goto's return will be against Shibata.

Shibata/Goto and tag title match confirmed. Yano challenged Suzuki for a match at the Dome so that may as well be confirmed too. Fale/Makabe was set up here as well. Not a bad looking card but what the fuck is KENTA going to do?

NJPW put up an article on their site where Makabe challenged Fale to a match with special rules (site says something about submission or knockout only) and Yano outright told Suzuki he'd see him at the Dome and that he had a special surprise.

The Big Egg is such a great venue. When the NFL brought me over in 2003 to play the pre-game show there, the suits were getting tired of me talking about the long wrestling tradition there. Had a long discussion with The Destroyer about his time at The Tokyo Dome when I'd mentioned I'd played there. Great venue. I wish I could have seen some wrestling there but the schedules didn't work out.
