Slater was awesome as Hayes. He should have been. I'm sure Hayes worked with him for a week to get it right. I imagine the only reason that thing happened to begin with is to amuse Michael Hayes, because the fans in the crowd mostly didn't seem to get it and it didn't even make it to TV.

Don't fool yourself: Hayes is considered untouchable in the WWE and every time you see the Freebirds mentioned on Smackdown he is responsible. 3MB is a comedy gimmick: they get stuff wrong and act like dorks. This was the intention. That is all.
RE: Badstreet USA. That may have been a legal decision until all of the final motions have been put to rest on that lawsuit over the use of the song.
