So I finally got around to ordering tickets for another ROH show...pretty much just because AJ Styles is going to be there. I'll probably do an audio review of the show as I did for the Hara Arena show in 2012. So far, there's no matches announced, just that AJ Styles will be on the show.

Did they go back to the smaller arena?

Yep, they're running the Fairgrounds again.

That's good. I've always considered going to the Dayton shows but it's not my favorite city in Ohio.

It's pretty far from my favorite city in general, much less Ohio. I've never gone to the fairgrounds before but I know the part of town it's in isn't the greatest. Then again, what part of Dayton IS good? It's my only option to see ROH live because Chicago's too far and I'm not going to Cincinnati for anything. Columbus is a city I don't hate but I have no idea where the building ROH runs in Ohio is but I did have friends willing to let me crash with them if I had a way there.

I live in Columbus. I could get you there no problem.
They just run the Fairgrounds which is straight off 71.

Mapquested it and it's a straight shot down I-75 to the Fairgrounds. Shouldn't be too hard to find. Hope they don't waste AJ on a shitty match. Give me AJ vs. ACH, Bennett, Cole, hell I'd even go for a rematch with Lethal since apparently they tore shit up last night.

The Fairgrounds aren't a bad area but they are surrounded by really bad ghetto. If you decide to go to a Columbus show, hit me up and I can weave you around the scary shit and I can point you toward some good local places to eat.

I'm really not afraid of the Fairgrounds. I'm only in that actual area for a mile or two after I get off of 75. Plus, if all else fails I can just use Kevin Steen as a shield.

Well, the main event is now official: Too bad it already happened a month ago in Canada.

I'm glad I got tickets to this but I will say had I just known who the hell they'd be bringing to New York in May, I would have ordered tickets to THAT show instead. Hell, if I had a passport I'd just go to the show in Toronto since I know people who live there. Glad that I get to see Hero vs. AJ live though, now all I need is a good undercard.

Star ratings for the stuff I saw. Note that I left before the main event since Hero/AJ went on second-to-last and I had no interest in Briscoes/Bennett and Cole. Decade/Adrenaline Rush: *** O'Reilly/Young/Evans/Romantic Touch: **1/4 Elgin/Alexander: ****1/4 Steen/Fish: * Steen and Evans/reDRagon: ** Ciampa/Taven before Seleziya Sparx showed up: ** Ciampa/Taven after Seleziya Sparx showed up: **** (the extra two stars are legit just because Seleziya Sparx showed up) Styles/Hero: ****1/2
The star ratings might not reflect this as well as I'd like them to, but this was a pretty great show. The opener was good, the four way match was a lot of fun, Elgin and Cedric tore it up, the Steen matches were really fun matches though I wouldn't call them actively good, Taven/Ciampa was slightly better than their Final Battle match and Hero vs. AJ was the expected killer match. The Dayton crowd was tremendous as well, far better than they were at Hara Arena in 2012. The atmosphere for AJ vs. Hero was amazing live.
