No, that is my my big concern. There is very little talent out there right now.

There's AJ. Chris Hero. Any of the guys that do the west coast indy circuit. I'm sure he'd be able to poach a bit from TNA. I think it could work.

Chris Masters, Chavo Jr, Luke Gallows, Harry Smith, Ted DiBiase Jr., John Morrison... There's lots of guys out there. My gut says that the biggest factor, at least getting off the ground, is going to be who's the big loser in the WWE TV rights sweepstakes. If it's NBC Universal, they will be left with a big WWE shaped hole in their programming schedule and demographics. On SyFy its easy enough to just fill that whole with Sarknado: The Series or some such. USA might be more movie of the week, but it would not be a huge leap of faith to imagine that NBC Universal might give Jarrett's GFW a spot on the network... Particularly given GFW's announced relationship with 25/7 Productions and Dave Broome (creator of NBC's Biggest Loser franchise). If it's Viacom, it's much easier to see them simply renewing with TNA, rather than giving the GFW the timeslot... Inertia being the hardest force to overcome in the universe, afterall.

Harry Smith is in New Japan. Luke Gallows is in New Japan. John Morrison wants a huge booking fee for one appearance alone, would probably want way more than he's worth for a full time gig. Chavo Jr. isn't worth whatever price he wants. Ted DiBiase Jr. is rumored to be in negotiations with New Japan. Chris Masters is a good pick and he's cool with Jarrett.
Past those guys, everyone else worthwhile is pretty much contracted to WWNLive or ROH in some capacity.
NBC Universal won't want Jarrett's promotion for the same reason they didn't want ECW in 2001---if it's not #1, they won't bother. Spike would likely go after WWE or renew TNA than go with Jeff Jarrett. There's the whole rumor they could get on CMT, but that's a horrible network for a wrestling show and it's owned by Viacom, I doubt they'd want to have their hands in two cookie jars.

None of those guys would make me tune in. They would have to land CM Punk to even have a chance and I don't think that will happen.
It's not like when TNA started and you could build unknowns with well known ECW and WCW names to draw those crowds. And those unknowns just aren't out there.
The wrestling talent pool seems like it's at an all time low right now.

The wrestling talent pool seems like it's at an all time low right now. It's not so much that as it is there's a lot of really talented indie guys who either have no exposure or are locked down to indie companies.

"TNA or WWE right now is match after match after match."
Someone doesn't actually watch the products in question.

You forgot the best part of that report:
- Jeff Jarrett's Global Force Wrestling announced that they have signed a deal with 25/7 Productions and Dave Broome, the creator of NBC’s The Biggest Loser. No TV deal is in place yet but 25/7 will be producing GFW TV shows.

Yeah, at best, what are we looking at... an Ultimate Fighter riff with a title belt (or maybe just a cash prize) for the winner?
It's funny, last time I tried to do the group fed thing over at Rob and Marc's board, my fed was called 'Blitzkreig Wrestling'... they just showed up on a site with a van and the wrestlers and had a card... sorta like a flash mob, but with a wrestling card attached. Guess who my pretend GM was? Jeff Jarrett. It'd be something if that turned out to be prophetic somehow.

The fact there are people optimistic about what I've pretty much known is going to be a hot, steaming pile of shit kind of speaks to where we're at but I think some people are short changing how good/bad pro wrestling is right now. I honestly don't think WWE has been that bad in the two weeks post-WrestleMania and they gave us arguably the best WrestleMania ever this year (certainly the most newsworthy since X-Seven). The in-ring product there is great. ROH has been on fire so far this year. New Japan are still doing good. I complain more than my fair share about modern wrestling but look at it. Halfway through April and I'm like three matches away from having a top 40. It took me until June 22nd last year to get there.
