I discovered this yesterday. It's a game called Mutant Football League and the project is headed by, go figure, the creative director behind the original Mutant League sports games. Last year, they tried a $750,000 Kickstarter (and failed) for a mobile app. This year, they've lowered expectations and they're aiming for the PC market first. No word on when that Kickstarter might go up (I think I read August yesterday but that was speculation), but this might be a project worth backing. It's being handled by the guy behind the original games and the artwork looks like it's faithful to the original game. Here's a screenshot from the Kickstarter last year. Granted, this is a screen shot from when the game was a mobile app. There's a chance that the game looks pretty different from this now.

Oh yes. I love anything Mutant League. I remember playing a version of it for Sega genesis.

I love the football game, I've only played Mutant League Hockey two or three times. I hope this gets funded on Kickstarter and Greenlit when they take it to Steam.

I was a big fan back in the day. Not sure if I'd play (depends on how well it'd work without a joystick) but I love the idea, some fun names, though I admit I'll miss Bones Jackson and Joe Magician.

It'll probably have gamepad support on the PC.
