I think Russo has some value as an idea machine. But that value only comes from someone else filtering out his couple of good ideas from all of the crap and refining it into a fleshed out story. If he's doing anything else, you are fucked. But this goes beyond Russo. If you have someone that's so poisonous to the well being of your company like that just get rid of them. I think Russo's brief return to the WWE in 2002, where he pitched restarting the Invasion angle and (allegedly) turning Triple H gay, shows he doesn't have a whole lot of value as an idea machine. But yeah, when you have someone this toxic and if you keep bringing them in, it says something about the way you run your company.

Saw this on Wrestlezone:
Spike TV wanted to purchased a percentage of TNA Impact Wrestling and move forward as share owners of the business. Dixie Carter would not agree to this deal and it caused the news of the potential end of their working relationship.

If true that is one of the stupidest business moves possible. The company has been BLEEDING money for a decade and the company that can guarantee they will continue to have a home on television wants to buy in, so she says "no"! What, she doesn't want her parents to share their monumental losses with anyone else? Maybe because they'd ask for changes to make the company an actual success...like relegating her to the position of official house show door greeter....hiring people who actually know how to produce a wrestling show....getting someone to do live event promotions.....
I HAVE to believe this is just a silly rumor. If it's true this could be the stupidest run company in the history of wrestling. That covers a LOT of ground.

They did refuse to sell to Jarrett because Dixie didn't want her on air role to be at risk.

I read something in the Observer (or maybe Meltzer said it on WOR) that Toby Keith was willing to buy until Dixie's dad said she had to be put in a position where it seemed like she was still the public head of the company and Toby Keith was all, "Nope."

I think he said that on WOR.

The thing is, there was a 2-3 year period where TNA was breaking even or making small profits. Of course they had to go get Hogan and Bischoff. They couldn't possibly stay on the course where they were starting to see some success.

When Hogan and Bischoff came in is when I stopped watching. The show changed so dramatically and for the worst! Then the next time I tune in which is a year or so later and there is Dixie Carter as an on air character and I couldn't sit through the show. It was like I didn't even recognize the company that I supported back when it first debuted as a PPV show.

The show's going to stay on Spike through the end of 2014.

They lost arguably their biggest draw in Bully Ray though.
