See, I would be more accepting of that if Orton actually did make them money. But he's been a failure in nearly every regard on top of the company. He only gets by because he was one of HHH's pet projects back in the day.

I was at the Rumble in Detroit years ago when he won and the reaction he got was as loud as I've ever heard anyone get. I think he's one of the better wrestlers in the fed but that's me. I don't always like the way they book him but I always like his matches. Havoc is based on him. has his punt and everything. |

My cousin became a legit millionaire in the insurance industry because of the opportunities she got by having a relationship with her boss (affair). She was already a super hard worker and rich before this but that affair out her over the top. Now she's married to someone else and still doing well but not like back then. Good example of how hard work + special treatment can catapult you. Another time I saw a big manager dude at a mortgage place I worked at freak out and pound on this little guy because little guy wanted to leave for a baseball game (was already 8pm) and big manager wanted him to pack his desk up for a big move the next day. Anyways big manager was a total cock sucker but made the co. a lot of money. His team was always winning big awards. They settled it all in house and just moved little guy to another team and swept it all under the rug. Just the way it went down. |

Like I said, I can see looking the other way for Cena, DB or someone that had a proven track record of success. It's one of the reasons I don't get behind people hating Hogan for not putting more people over in the 80s. I bring up Orton because he gets that kind of treatment and doesn't really have the accomplishments to back it up. |

Well, you can kind of blame the booking for a lot of Orton's problems. That reign in 04 did him no favors, nor did pretty much shoving him down into the midcard for the next three years after that.

Orton gets a pretty big pop, even when he's a heel... it's it's usually pretty high pitched, so that tell me more of the little kids and/or women in the crowd like him. Is he cute enough to be the ladies choice? (I wouldn't think so, but I'm not a woman). I don't think it's been the same since his face turn... he's harder to take seriously somehow.
I think he never should have been a face.. they tried to make him Stone Cold, when he should be Randy Orton. I agree he's a decent worker, but I'm pretty sick of him at the top of the card... he's just not that entertaining.
