Steen is going to need to lose at least 100 lbs. to make tv. I think 100 might be a bit of hyperbole, but it does raise an interesting question.. Vince (and HHH, seemingly) hate it when guys aren't jacked... I wonder if he'll turn up in better shape or not? I've always assumed that's why Samoa Joe never got a shot. I was thinking the other guys have farther to change to match the WWE style than Steen does... it seems to vary quite a bit though, so I guess we'll see when we see. |

Joe was supposed to be Umaga. I think there's a huge difference between Joe and Steen. Joe looks like a tough guy that's got a few extra pounds while Steen is just a fat fuck.

Steen's problem has always been that he doesn't at least attempt to work out at all. If he dropped 40 lbs. and got the hint of a muscle I think he would be okay look wise.

When I saw him in Dayton in March he looked a lot better than he had in a long time...then I saw a picture of him from the PWG show like right after that and it was like "what the fuck happened?"

Was he pulling some fat guy visual trick shit on you in Dayton?
Devitt and KENTA are way more tv ready than Steen is IMO. Devitt is probably the most ready and KENTA I think only needs some slight adjustments but Steen can be pretty indy. Like I said, his look needs a lot of work and he's going to have to tone the ring style way down.

Well, there were a lot of people in that arena bigger than Steen that night (I'm talking guys who are like Yutaka Yoshie levels of blubbery) so maybe it was just Steen looked smaller by comparison. He did seem to be about the same size as I am and I can't think of the last time Steen didn't have a sizable pudge advantage on me.

He went home, lost 40 pounds, found out he wouldn't actually wrestle until Final Battle 2011, went home, gained 50 pounds. Imagine if he tries to pull that shit in WWE. |
