Commissioner Massif Announcement: 12/26/2118:
Massif takes the stage at the Deimos Press facilities.
Massif: As many of you know, the GWF has been hard hit by the galactic recession of the last year. We have had to make some very difficult decisions as far as the roster goes and with how we operate the business in general. I believe with these changes that the GWF will remain a profitable business for decades to come. The sad fact of things is that we had to let between 30 and 40 wrestlers go after the final show of the 2118 season. The dimensions closing helped with some of the decision making and several wrestlers were gracious enough to retire. I have confidence in the wrestlers that we kept on board and I think the fans will really like some of the new talent we signed. But the fact of the matter is that the roster has changed in a very drastic way pretty much overnight. It is the feeling of myself and the GWF Championship Committee that it is only fair to order that every GWF Championship be vacated as a result of these roster changes. Going forward the only active GWF championships will be the GWF Galaxian Championship, the GWF Galaxian Tag Team Championship, the GWF Interplanetary Championship and the GWF Women's Championship. Are there any questions?
Reporter: How will you decide the new champions?
Massif: We've decided to turn the Deimos Perennial into a 3 night event this year. Each night will feature a tournament for one of the belts. We're going to double up the tag title tournament and the women's tournament on the same night.
Reporter: Are you worried about ticket sales and how the GWF will draw during the recession?
Massif: We've drastically cut back on the number of shows we'll be running in a given year. We're going to focus less on the tv style promotion that has dominated the wrestling scene for over 100 years. Our focus is going to be on making our shows matter. From now on it's going to be about putting on the best shows possible and featuring the best matches possible.

Commissioner Massif Press Conference: 1/7/2119
Commissioner Massif enters the Deimos Press facilities and sits down.
Massif: Thank you for joining me today. As everyone knows, we've got 4 new champions in the GWF and our 3 day Deimos Perennial was a great success. We drew more fans than projected. I want to take a moment and congratulate Endgame, the Troubleshooters, Tauran and Thrash on their big tournament victories. I wish each of them long and successful reigns as champions.
Reporter: Were you surprised by the outcomes of the tournaments?
Massif: No, I was surprised that I wasn't surprised by the outcomes of the tournaments. Endgame is far and away the best wrestler in the galaxy today. I think that tournament was his to lose and he came through. The Troubleshooters and Tauran have proven track records in the GWF. And Thrash, she's been winning the Women's belt for 20 years now. I think there's good depth in the GWF right now and I think the best man in each tournament won.
Reporter: What are your feelings on Sly Drury's challenge to Endgame?
Massif: That's part of the game. You have to go out there and draw attention to yourself.
Reporter: Do you think such a new wrestler is worthy of getting a title shot so early?
Massif: I think Sly Drury showed he can hold his own against anyone in the GWF during his match with Swarm. That match is getting a lot of buzz and he almost came away with the win there. I think he proved himself with his performance in that match.
Reporter: What is the upcoming schedule for the GWF looking like?
Massif: Our next show is going to be February 14th. That's going to have Endgame defending the GWF Galaxian Championship against Sly Drury as the main event. That's also going to feature the Guardians taking on Havoc and Paralyze. Past that, we have a couple of shows scheduled in March and the Clash of the Champions PPV will run in April. We haven't planned much past that at this point. Thank you for your time today. It's been a pleasure as always.
