Next up, six man action. The Midnight Express & Doctor Death take on the Samoan Swat Team and the The Samoan Savage. I know a lot lf people have issues with the dubbing in of generic entrance music on some of these old events. Usually it doesn't bother me. But it does for the Midnight Express.

Ross is of course in full on "these guys are amazing athletes" mode, so it's like every other word is about Williams playing football or Lane being a former Karate instructor.

The Samoan's win after Savage head butts Lane and knocks him into Cornette. I cannot objectively evaluate a match featuring the Bobby and Stan version of the Midnight Express. It's like asking a four year old to objectively evaluate Santa.

Wildfire Tommy Rich vs The Cuban Assassin is next. I believe this was very early in Rich's comeback.

Rich wins the the Thesz press. The Philly crowd rightly poops on this one.
Next match is the Dynamic Dudes (accompanied by Jom Cornette) challenging the Freebirds for the World Tag Team Championship. Oddly, only Jimmy Garvin brings out one of the tag belts. I wonder if Hayes had hocked his for booze money?

The crowd is totally pro-Freebirds; with chants of "Dudes suck!"

Everytime Hayes cheats he gets a massive Babyface pop.

The Freebirds cheat to win (with Hayes pulling Ace's leg out from under him durring their finish). The crowd goes wild.

DOOM! It's Doom's debut against the Steiner Bros. Lord, the Steiner Bros. were the worst promo ever, I swear Rick is just saying nouns at one point.

I loved Doom, though more the Teddy Long managed unmasked version with the sweet jazz theme music.

It must have been killing JR not to be able to mention the Florida St Seminoles durring this match.

When the mica pick up one of the masked members of Doom speaking, it's super obvious who they are. I can't believe I didn't figure it out as a kid. But I was totally shocked when they were eventually unmasked.

Two things that occurred to me watching this match: 1) Doom may be the most under appreciated tag team of all time. They were awesome. 2) How is it that the Steiners managed to never kill anyone?!?! Good lord, they were stiff as hell.

Okay. Sorry. Luger move count: knee strike, elbow, head to turnbuckle, punch, scoop slam, slap, stomp, eye rake with rope, double ax handle, hip toss, shoulder block, flapjack, military press into a hot shot, clothesline, falling forearm, stand on throat, stalling vertical suplex, elbow drop, inverted atomic drop, stun gun.
This is the only time I can think of where Luger's time in the CFL was mentioned. Okay seriously, were these cheerleaders a thing? I don't remember them being a thing. Solid outing from two guys who were both still pretty green.
