Where are the final 2 posted? Do this. I don't think I'm breaking any taboos by revealing this here, but he informed me that there are already placeholders in the Gallery section on COTGOnline--this is for the random image that comes up when you go to the Gallery. The "searching" seems pretty darn involved and involves endlessly refreshing the Gallery to see which names (no image attached yet) eventually pop up. I was able to find Tommy Gilbert's name, but gave up when guys like Actagon were starting to repeat for me. - Peter F

I'm grateful for any and all signings. I have preordered.

I don't hate the MAB card, but man oh man, it's going over like a fart in a church on the other board. I'd have preferred Dark Patriot in the game and Bagwell in PP, though.

Yeah, people love to complain. I am now thoroughly convinced some people are not happy unless they are miserable and I want off that bus. Why are some people (and I have a long memory, so I know this) who were all about Ted DiBiase with a black glove complaining about a Bagwell card that is a.)completely different from the special edition Buff card that was released a solid decade and change ago, and b.) has never been in a Filsinger Games set before? Dark Patriot in the main set? That's one that screams Promoter Prime to me. It's just Doug Gilbert in a mask. Imagine there was a Scott Steiner card. We get the Big Bad Booty Daddy version, and then later Rick Steiner is signed. Are people okay if there is a mullet and singlet wearing Scotty card in a later edition? Or do they say "hey, we already got Scott Steiner"? Dammit, I needed a Bagwell card with the Sprayberry Yellow Jacket Suplex! And now there is one! So quit complaining! (I don't know what this little dude is supposed to mean, but I guess funny faces denote a lack of taking things too serious, so here it is)

In fairness, Ted's a hell of a lot easier sell for most people than Bagwell in any incarnation. Ditto with Scott Steiner.
Dark Patriot looked, acted, and even wrestled so completely differently than Doug that it may as well be a wholly separate guy. Even the difference in the two Jimmy Valiants isn't as pronounced.
That said, a lot of people do tend to set themselves up for disappointment. I'll always remember Tom announcing a card for a guy who was an (exact quote) "obscure footnote in wrestling history" that had people immediately speculating on Demolition and (I shit you not) Shane McMahon. Of course that footnote turned out to be Les Thatcher, and anyone let down by that had only themselves to blame.

People in this community tend to go a bit far when they're left to their own devices like the guy who was so disappointed that we got an Adam Cole remake in Tradition of Honor because it said something about "Future Champions" and took that to mean that Cedric Alexander was in the set.

Let's quit playing the subtle and polite game: according to hints the last two cards seem to be Tyler Black and Jon Moxley, most likely in their Rollins and Ambrose looks and movesets naturally. It is my opinion that people are not going to generally see this as a real good way to close this thing out.
I believe the mine has been pretty much stripped. All the big names you can get, have been gotten. Unless there are remixes, different gimmicks for different wrestlers, and things of this nature there's no way full Legends expansion sets can keep coming out every year. The way the most vocal people react to this pretty much indicates that this will not be well received so I would not be real surprised if this is the last full size game expansion set.

I agree people complain no matter what. I'm not one of those people. It just feels like a slapped together set. I think Dark Patriot would have been a better release than another Bagwell card.
I don't even need a big name for this set. It would have been nice to get someone that was at least a U.S. Title level guy. Last year's set was packed with talent. Maybe they should have mixed things up a bit between the two sets.

Dark Patriot is the kind of thing only the real hardcore fans will care about or remember. The kind who come to message boards and forums to talk about a game and have such long memories that a card released something like 12 years ago as a special edition that's pretty much impossible for a casual game player to even find in the online store becomes a bone of contention when they do a first time version of the guy in a vastly different character. ( ALSO, who said they can even DO a Dark Patriot card? We're putting the cart before the horse again. )
In other words, the people who keep just buying the game and enjoying it casually are probably all "cool, Marcus Bagwell and Patriot!" If they'd have put him in Promoter Prime about 40 people* would even know the card exists, and they're the same people who are talking about it on the forums so the core audience gets the card and whatever they put in Promoter either way.
* I have no idea how many people subscribe, but I know it's the same hardcore people who post on forums.

Or just put every unsigned name in a poll and let the fans choose. Or just make cards for every signed wrestler left and charge 2 bucks a piece and let people collect them like matchbox cars.

Yeah but I truly doubt there are anything but hardcore fans for this game.

Even more to Mark's point, if FG wants to sell LOW to new fans, young fans, current wrestling fans (and why wouldn't they?) then these kinds of cards are no brainers. Forever LOW has been designed for ages 45 and up, let's face it. And that approach has given us tons of classic wrestlers and taught us all about the early years of the sport. But to a fan 13-24 right now, seeing modern day WWE guys is probably mind blowing.
The set might actually be a best seller when you think about it like that.

I would not be surprised for this to be the last full size LOW set. Sad, but not surprised. I think the roll out model is flawed. If there is a Legends 15, which I sincerely hope there is, it would be better to announce the whole roster all at once (say on Black Friday), and then over the ensuing weeks reveal the art and give each entry a nice little write up. If that model had been used for Legends 14, we could, as a community be having conversations about thing like "Will you partner M.A.B. with the Patriot or with 2 Cold Scorpio?" or "Wouldn't it be cool if Moxley and Black had a mechanic that made them stronger against each other like Quakenbush and Hero?" instead of "Fuck you M.A.B. card for not being Lex Luger!" What I'm saying is that a better job can be done of managing expectations among the customer base.
Now, as for Legends 14 itself... It's really not a bad set. I'd say its on par with Legends Partners or Legends Vintage. I personally won't use but a couple of guys from this one, but there's plenty of stories to be told with these guys. Y

Three alternate cards in a regular set is pretty weak but it could be worse we could be getting a heel Snuka card. I've thought the well had gone dry a few times in the past but then we got names like Andre, Savage and Piper out of the blue. So hopefully we'll see more names like that in the future
