So they'd got 6 Raws to make this thing viable... let's hope they make it a bit more interesting than TLC.
Anyone heard anything about any interesting entries? There was the rumor that they were going to do 40 guys again, and have all the old ECW people in, but that's been squashed.
I assume Jericho (since he's back tonight). Maybe RVD?

As far as I've seen so far, Jericho's just supposed to be guest host tonight. I haven't read anything about expected surprise entrances.

Thinking about it, what's the undercard for this show gonna look like? Is there really anything after TLC that jumps out as being a potential match on the PPV? I can't really think of anything.

Goodness, I hope not. RVD is so past the "Best if used by" date that his airbrushed tights are starting to curdle. The only thing I'm hoping to see in this year's Rumble is Kane getting at least one elimination and taking sole possession of the all time elimination record.

Miz & Mizdow Vs. Usos round 2 Wyatt Vs. Ambrose round 3 ("I quit" is, I think, the only stipulation they could stack on top of it) You have to think they will do something with some combination of Harper, Rowan, Kane, Rollins, Ryback, and Zigler. Don't know what, but you could draw any combination of those names out of a hat and put it on the card and it would make perfect sense (as far as any WWE booking does).

I can no longer take Ryback seriously. All I think of when he's on screen is "I'm dumb as fuck, I'm sorry" and then laugh.

I'm really tired of the part time champ thing... it's not working. Instead of making the title seem on a pedestal, it's just not important at all. So, I had this crazy idea...
Let's say Cena starts ragging on Lesnar for being a part timer (a bit like he did to the Rock, only more so)...Lesnar (through Heyman) quips that the WWE is small potatoes, disses the title, etc.... says all the things WE say.
Lesnar massacres him again, and says if the Rumble winner can't beat him, he's retiring the title so NO ONE can call themselves World Champ again, or something along those lines.
Suprise entrant to the rumble #20 or so is.... HHH. Not corporate HHH, just HHH the wrestler. He wins, and cuts a promo about how he realizes he can't be the Authority, since he's really a D-Generate at heart, but he can see his family's company run though the mud by Heyman and Lesnar. He announces he's no longer WWE staff, just a superstar, and he's here to make the title mean something again.
HHH the face beats Lesnar and sends him off to UFC or whatever.... then we get HHH turn back to the dark side, and either Reigns or Bryan (if he's coming back) take the title off him at Summer Slam with a HUGE rub... maybe even beat a returning Lesnar next year some time (if he'll come back and job).

Exactly, he didn't even have the belt when he came out and destroyed Jericho. That's how unimportant it is. I know it wasn't a title match but Hogan would always have the belt, even if he was on Pipers Pit. When he first came out, my first thought was, " Wait, he's still the champ, right? I know I've missed a few weeks but he's still the champ, right?"

I would much rather not sit through another Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar match, thanks.

Yeah. No more HHH. They should have used that big win and done Lesnar/Ziggler at the Rumble.

I was trying to be realistic... we all know that HHH and the rest of the family won't stay away for long (especially with low ratings).

I think right now they're pretty much consumed with the idea that Roman is gonna move the needle.

Doesn't it make more sense to have Orton win the rumble and fight Brock at mania? Dating back to last mania when HHH didn't give him his rematch vs Bryan, to the Authority turning on him.
surprise entrant, wins rumble, beats Brock for belt, HHH goes mad and orders Rollins to cash in, Orton RKO's them both and retains. Mania goes off air w face Orton going over HHH and Rollins.

The biggest flaw with that is Randy Orton being involved.
I may be remembering wrong but I don't remember the crowds being super hot for Reigns. I actually thought his injury was a good thing because it wouldn't burn the crowd out on him. I just don't see Reigns working out for them.
