ECW Hardcore TV #10
Viking Hall
Philadelphia, PA
Sept. 2, 2118
A huge edition of Hardcore TV is lined up on the heels of the first ppv Hardcore Heaven last week. We showcase the tag teams in ECW tonight. Last week, Brent Albright and Adam Pearce won the triple threat tournament final to become the first ECW tag team champions. Several of the ECW teams will be in the WWC North American Tag Team Title Tournament that begins next week, and some of those first round matches will take place right here on Hardcore TV next week.
BRODIE LEE fought SAM HAYNE to a Time Limit Draw
The opener was an all-out fight. Hayne took over but Lee wouldn't go away and these two went at it to the time limit.
SARA DEL REY def. DAIZEE HAZE
This was the third meeting between these two in the last week. They started out with Haze winning by countout on the last edition of Hardcore TV before the ppv. Then they went to Puerto Rico and in WWC Del Rey claimed victory. Sara Del Rey won the rubber match after a second rope dropkick and the Butterfly Powerslam.
April Hunter then ran in the ring started beating on Daizee Haze. Then Jazz stormed out from the back and the bell rang for a rematch from Hardcore Heaven.
JAZZ def. APRIL HUNTER
Jazz made it two wins in a row over Big Red. These two went toe to toe though exchanging power moves. After Jazz won with the STF, Del Rey and Haze then fought back into the arena, and all four ladies took the melee to the back.
CHUCK TAYLOR def. ULTRAMANTIS BLACK
This was another rematch from the ppv. Taylor also collected a second straight win over UMB. Taylor took control of the match and won after an enzuigiri. Then another masked wrestler ran in and helped UMB doubleteam Taylor. Ultramantis Black left with his new henchmen Crossbones.
TYLER BLACK/JIMMY JACOBS def. ARIK CANNON/TIMBER
Black and Jacobs showed some great teamwork in this one. Cannon and Timber were happy to just brawl as much as possible, but the Phoenix Splash by Black finished off Cannon.
NECRO BUTCHER/DRAKE YOUNGER def. YOUNG BUCKS
This was another contrast in styles with the hardcore team against the tag specialists. The Young Bucks looked good but only for a moment. Necro Butcher put the spike to Matt Jackson and then beat him with the Asiatic Spike.
SANDMAN def. EDDIE KINGSTON
The Sandman is really on a roll right now and will be looking for that ECW title shot as soon as possible. Eddie Kingston did nothing but take a beating from the Sandman, and the toll of DDTs and canes took its toll.
OX BAKER/TERRIBLE TURK def. BACKSEAT BOYS by D.Q.
These two teams were in the tournament three way dance final on ppv. It was Albright and Pearce that came away with the belts. The Backseat Boys were all over the Turk, but finally Ox Baker got in the ring. He leveled Trent Acid with the Heart Punch. Johnny Kashmere rushed in the ring and was all over both opponents and was disqualified.
IMPACT PLAYERS def. STEVE CORINO/DANNY DORING
These teams met at Hardcore Heaven, and it was almost the same match. Doring made not tags and was counted out after a double team by Credible and Candido on the floor.
J.D. MICHAELS def. RICKY LANDELL
J.D. Michaels shocked the world by beating Jushin Thunder Liger for World Jr. title at Hardcore Heaven. Two days later he retained the belt at USWA SummerSlam against Liger and Gorgeous George. Landell has had Michaels' number though in ECW. Landell should have won this match after dominating most of the bout, and hitting many of his finishers. April Hunter jumped in the ring, giving J.D. the chance to hit Landell from behind. A top rope elbow drop gave J.D. the win.
MIKE QUACKENBUSH/CLAUDIO CASTAGNOLI/ERICK STEVENS def. SWEET N SOUR INC.
A great six-man tag as Quackenbush has found some help in his fight against Chris Hero, who turned on him before Hardcore Heaven. Hero, Albright and Pearce, now managed by Larry Sweeney, are the ECW singles and tag team champions. The action was fast and furious, and it was the Quackendriver that pinned Pearce. All six kept the fighting going after the match.
DELIRIOUS def. SABU
The main event was the third meeting between these two high-fliers. Sabu is 2-0, with the last match being a triple threat that the Sandman won at Hardcore Heaven. Delirious wanted another shot at Sabu, and these two were on fire. Both were out of control with insane moves. Sabu took major move after major move, and somehow kept getting up. After two more times with the Chemical Imbalance, Delirious won with a Cobra stretch.
(Sabu's pin 9
After this spectacular match and long ovation by the fans, a newcomer came out to the aisle with a mic. "The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson. He condemned the fans for liking this king of non-sense, hardcore action. Where's the wrestling? He said he will give it to you whether you like it or want it, or not.
Then, new music hit and the ECW Arena exploded when Rob Van Dam came out into the crowd. He told Danielson it's all good, scientific, or hardcore. You should do both like me.
One more time a wrestler came out thrrough the fans. This time it was Al Snow, with his best friend head! He asked the fans what do you need? HEAD! HEAD! HEAD! HEAD! HEAD! HEAD! HEAD! HEAD!
