A figure is seen in a darkened room. The man mentions having a past with Barry Windham and that Barry Windham was the one who held him back. Barry got all the glory and he had to just take it. The man says it’s eaten him up inside and wants revenge. The man challenges Barry Windham to show up at the July 4th card and if he has the guts then put the Florida title on the line. We come back from the tape and Barry says if that’s what he wants then I’ll see him on the 4th. Gordon tries to get Barry to say who the man was but Barry just shakes his head and walks off. 1. Tazz def. Rocky JohnsonTazz absorbed a lot of punishment early but catches a break when Rocky misses a dive through the ropes and crashes into the security railing. With the help of a translator, Dozan explains he’s excited to be in Florida and hopes to soon earn a Florida title shot against Barry Windham. This brings Johnny Valentine out who explains as long as Johnny V is around, Dozan won’t go anywhere near that Florida title. Valentine slaps Rikidozan in the face and a wild brawl ensues. Security breaks up the melee as Johnny V is overheard saying he’s going to kick Rikidozan’s tail on July 4th. 4. The Assassins ddq The MoondogsThe two teams battle each other to a double dq after the match goes to the floor and stays there. Each team took turns battering each other with various objects not nailed down. The Grahams take this opportunity to attack The Assassins. They actually pull Assassin #2’s mask off but he’s able to crawl under the ring before anyone can get a clear view of his face. Oliver Humperdink is able to cover Assassin #2’s face with a towel and escort him to the back. --The Grahams come over to the podium as Eddie Graham proudly displays Assassin #2 to the camera. Eddie says he knows who Assassin #2 is and will prove it right now. Graham produces another video tape but is attacked by Assassin #1 and Bob Roop. PWF Independence Day Bash; 04 July 2008 Bayfront Center; St Petersburg, Fl [/center] --We’re in St Pete for Independence Day. What could be better than barbeque and PWF wrestling? A huge tailgate party was held before the event where fans met the wrestlers. 1. The Rock-n-Roll RPMs dq The PittbullsThe RPMs took it to the more powerful Pittbulls and didn’t back down. Mike Davis kept his team in front by constantly cheating and almost got dq’ed several times. The RPMs hit the Backdrop/Powerbomb combo but Pittbull #1 grabs The ’Bulls chains at ringside and blasted Tommy Lane drawing the dq. Afterwards, The ’Bulls send both RPMs crashing through ringside tables with their Superbombs. 2. Tim Horner cor Gino Hernandez to get a Florida TV title shotTim Horner returns the favor to Gino Hernandez by winning the title shot when Hernandez can’t get back into the ring before the 10-count. Horner hits Hernandez with a dropkick that sends Gino flying through the ropes and into the turnbuckle post giving Horner the win. 3. The Moondogs dq The Interns w/ Dr Ken RameyThe Moondogs were on fire and The Interns showed some ring rust from their layoff. The ‘Dogs actually were the more efficient tag team with quick tags and brutal double tag moves. In the end, Rex smashes Intern #2 with his bone and went for the cover. Ken Ramey comes in the ring and smashes Rex with his own bone and quickly drops it as if he’s just noticed that he had picked up road kill. Intern #1 seizes the opportunity to load his mask and bust Spot open with ‘loaded’ headbutts. Intern #2 locks Rex in the Claw before security can restore order. 4. In the Battle of the Sleeperhold, Mr Olympia def. Mr WrestlingMr Wrestling started out quickly as he twice had Mr Olympia locked in the Sleeperhold but each time Olympia was able to break the hold. After several minutes, the match went to the floor where Mr Wrestling was able to lock Mr Olympia in the Sleeper again. Olympia broke the hold by ramming Mr Wrestling into the ringpost back first but the referee was knocked off his feet as well. Olympia picks up a rag and nearly shoves it down Mr Wrestling’s throat. Dr Ken Ramey must have left an ether soaked rag at ringside and Mr Olympia uses the rag to assist in his version of the Sleeper in the middle of the ring. The ref crawls back in the ring as Olympia discards the rag and locks on his Sleeper for the win. 5. Ken Patera def. Steve Keirn in a NO DQ Grudge matchSteve Keirn dominates from the opening bell and even dominates outside of the ring in the early going as well. Patera introduces brass knuckles to the fray and quickly bloodies Keirn and gets a nearfall with an Olympic Press Slam. Keirn regains control after Patera misses a turnbuckle charge and goes up and over to the arena floor. Keirn follows, grabbing a chair as he goes, and bloodies the Olympian with the chair. The action goes back to the ring and Patera is able to wrestle the chair away from Keirn. After blasting Keirn with the chair, Patera plants him with the Swinging Neckbreaker for the win. 6. Rikidozan def. Akira MaedaSomething lit a fire under Rikidozan for this match as he destroyed Maeda in under 5-minutes. Dozan used his Thunderous Chops and Hiplock to set up a Boston Crab for the submission win. Afterwards, Dozan angrily yells at Maeda in Japanese before storming to the back. 7. Johnny Valentine cor ‘Cowboy’ Ron BassMatch turned out to be a great match between two evenly-matched brawlers. Both would go on long offensive stretches and both had chances to win. The match ended as Johnny V had tossed Ron Bass to the floor but when Bass tried to climb back into the ring, he was met by a Valentine Atomic Skullcrusher. This caused Bass to fly into the security railing at ringside to give Valentine the countout win. 8. The Blonde Bombers def. Rocky Johnson/Charlie Cook to retain the Florida tag titlesThe match went over 15-minutes but Rip Hawk and Swede Hanson were never in danger of losing the titles. They beat Charlie Cook up and Rocky Johnson had to save his partner several times. Eventually, Cook was able to tag in Rocky but the Bombers soon had Rocky in trouble. Swede Hanson flattens Rocky with the Piledriver and Charlie Cook is too exhausted to save his partner. 9. Blitzkreig def. Sgt Slaughter/Mystery Partner in a Boot Camp matchSlaughter brings out Karl Kox as his partner. Kox was injured by Blitzkreig early in June and hadn’t been seen in a PWF ring since. The surprise worked early on as Blitzkreig was off-balance. Kox introduced a ‘loaded’ boot into the match as he bust Karl Krupp open. Meanwhile, Slaughter has Karl Steiner in a bad way as he pounds on Steiner with a steel chair. The tide turns when Kox misses a turnbuckle charge and Krupp blasts Kox with the loaded boot. Krupp goes after Slaughter and soon it’s a 2-on-1. Sarge is beaten down and looks to be out but is able to answer the 10-count to continue the match. Blitzkreig turn their attention to Kox and continue the assault on him. Slaughter tries to save his partner but eats a vicious boot shot from Krupp. In the end, Kox is unable to answer the 10-count after several boot shots from Karl Krupp. Afterwards, Karl Kox had to be loaded into an ambulance and taken to the local hospital. 10. The Grahams def. The Assassins in a Mask vs Hair matchMike Graham takes a beating in this match and is bloodied early in the match. Eddie Graham saves his son often during the match. Mike is able to make the tag but it’s essentially 2-on-1 as Eddie fights valiantly but soon falls to the numbers advantage of The Assassins. Eddie is soon bloody as well as it looks like The Assassins are going to get to shave their nemesis bald. Eddie tries to fight back as Oliver Humperdink tosses a foreign object to Assassin #2. However, Mike Graham somehow intercepts the object and blasts both Assassins with it. Eddie follows with the Atomic Kneedrop onto Assassin #2 for the win. Afterwards, The Assassins try to high-tail it to the back but are stopped by security and The Grahams pull Assassin #2 from the melee. Back in the ring, they take the mask of Assassin #2 to reveal… Bob Roop.11. Barry Windham def. his Mystery Opponent to retain the Florida titleThe mystery opponent comes out wearing a hooded sweatshirt and doesn’t reveal himself until he gets in the ring. He takes his sweatshirt off and the crowd gasps as the man is revealed as Barry’s former partner, Mike Rotundo. Rotundo grabs the house mike and runs down Barry and the crowd before the match. Once the match got started, Barry dominated the early portion as he quickly nails the Flying Lariat and Rotundo takes a powder on the floor. Rotundo uses a low-blow to gain the advantage and nearly scores the win and the Florida title with the Butterfly Suplex. Rotundo tosses Windham to the floor and starts arguing with the referee. A man wearing a hooded sweatshirt jumps the railing and clocks Windham with a metal briefcase. The man turns the briefcase just so that the letters…T.A.G…are exposed before bringing the briefcase crashing down on Windham’s head. This brings Ron Bass out from the back and brawl erupts as Bass rips the sweatshirt off the man to reveal Gary Albright. The ref comes out and interjects himself in between Bass and Albright. Rotundo takes the opportunity to grab the briefcase but Windham blocks his attempt and Windham drills Rotundo with the briefcase. Back in the ring, Windham brings a groggy Rotundo crashing down to the mat with the Sweetwater Superplex to earn the win. Afterwards, Albright crashes the ring and drops a huge knee to the back of Windham’s head before Ron Bass can chase Rotundo and Albright from the ring.

Gordon seems confused about another Assassin #2 being out here along with Bob Roop. Gordon asks Humperdink if this is another one of his tricks. Assassin #2 grabs the mike and says that Mike Graham injured him with the figure-four Leglock about a month ago and Humperdink made the decision to put Roop behind the mask in an effort to save the Florida tag titles. Assassin #2 finishes the interview by saying they aren’t finished with The Grahams. 4. Tazz def. The two start yelling at each other in Japanese before Maeda nails Dozan with a loud chop across the chest. The two take turns beating on each other as the crowd is really into it by this point. Suddenly, Freddie Blassie emerges from the back and smashes Rikidozan with a vicious clothesline. Blassie and Maeda roll Dozan into the ring and continue the beating. As the credits roll, Blassie gives Dozan two straight Southern Neckbreakers before Sgt Slaughter comes out for the save.
