Boss Man is struggling, that's for sure! Larry Z is a fan-fave right now, so he won't be taking over Riot Gear right now. There may be a new leader, though, after the PPV, so stay tuned!
Card 8: D.E.W. TV Taping on Wednesday, April 22, 2009 @ the Event Center Arena in San Jose CA KEY: For matches between the Golden State Renegades and the Team Riot Gear teams, each will be identified by their initials. Renegades = [GSR] , Riot Gear = [TRG].
This fight card featured a Chain match, a two-round Tag Team Tournament to name the Number One Contenders for the D.E.W. Tag Team Belts, a Battle Royal to name the Number One Contenders for the D.E.W. Television and the D.E.W. Heavyweight Belts, and a Title Bout for the Hardcore Championship Belt!
TAG TEAM TOURNAMENT FOR NUMBER ONE CONTENDERS AT THE PPV: FIRST ROUND MATCH 1: PAT TANAKA & PAUL DIAMOND (BADD COMPANY) VS AL COSTELLO & ROY HEFFERNAN (Fabulous Kangaroos) Al Costello & Roy Heffernan won when Al Costello used his finisher-MARBLE BOR LEGLOCK on Tanaka in a time of just 0:54.
FIRST ROUND MATCH 2: RPMS MIKE DAVIS & TOMMY LANE VS THE GRAPPLER & MASKED ASSASSIN Luckily for the RPMs, Mike Davis got a surprise win in the early going for his team! Mike Davis & Tommy Lane won when Mike Davis pinned The Grappler with a Small Package in a time of 3:13.
INTERVIEW: "ROWDY" RODDY PIPER -- In between pulling out his hair and looking frustrated, Piper had this to say: "Jimmy Snuka! You challenge me to a match at 'Payment is D.E.W.', huh? Heh. Who do you think you are now? The booker of this fed? Heh. Well, Jimmy Snuka, I will have to say 'no' to your leeetle request. You will have your hands full enough defending the Tag Belts, won't ya? Heh. But, Jimmy Snuka, I will have a surprise for you at the Pay-Per-View: Something that will insure you will not be Tag Champion for long! Your retirement is ringing the dinner bell, Jimmy Snuka! It's time you leave this sport for good, and I am just the person who's gonna end your career once and for all!"
MATCH 1: BATTLE ROYAL FOR HEAVYWEIGHT AND TELEVISION NUMBER ONE CONTENDERS AT THE PPV: Participants: Spike Huber, Chris Jericho, Rufus R. Jones, Teijho Khan, Magnum T.A., Al Perez, Roddy Piper, and Ed Wiskowski. Order of elimination: 1. Rufus R. Jones was eliminated by Chris Jericho. 2. Al Perez was eliminated by Spike Huber. 3. Teijho Khan was eliminated by Ed Wiskowski. 4. Spike Huber was eliminated by Chris Jericho. 5. Magnum T.A. was eliminated by Roddy Piper. 6. Roddy Piper was eliminated by Ed Wiskowski. Final: Chris Jericho was eliminated by Ed Wiskowski, thus Ed Wiskowski receives a Title Bout against the D.E.W. Heavyweight Champion at the PPV, while Chris Jericho receives a Title Bout at the D.E.W. Television Champion at the PPV!
TAG TOURNAMENT FINALS: RPMS MIKE DAVIS & TOMMY LANE VS AL COSTELLO & ROY HEFFERNAN As this match started, the fans watched as the RPMs almost got a quick upset as Mike Davis nearly got the pin over Roy Heffernan with an Atomic Drop. Heffernan countered with a pin attempt after a Running Spear. Heffernan then went for his finisher, but Davis managed to escape defeat. In came Al Costello, and Al used his tag finisher, but Tommy Lane prevented the three-count. Heffernan then used his finisher with no success in ending the match. Finally, Mike Davis tagged his partner, and Tommy Lane came in with guns-ablazing! A quick Running Clothesline thoroughly stunned Heffernan, then Lane slapped on his finisher, and it was lights out for the Kangaroo team, as Heffernan was out cold! Mike Davis & Tommy Lane won when Tommy Lane used his finisher-SLEEPERHOLD on Roy Heffernan in a time of 11:02, thus the RPMs will face the D.E.W. Tag Team Champions, Dutch Savage & Jimmy Snuka, for the Belts at the PPV!
MATCH 2: MIGHTY IGOR VS BILLY WHITE WOLF For nearly ten minutes these two fought without a pin attempt or possible submission. Finally, Igor was able to cinch in his finisher, but White Wolf broke the hold. A big Clothesline from Igor sent White Wolf's head spinning! One more finisher attempt from Igor and it was all over! Mighty Igor won with his finisher-BEARHUG in a time of 15:52.
MATCH 3: IVAN PUTSKI VS ALEXIS SMIRNOFF -- Chain Match Putski took the first pin attempt after a Bodyslam. Smirnoff managed to hit his finisher, the Heart Punch, WITH THE CHAIN! Putski, amazingly, was able to kick out of the three-count! Smirnoff went on to bloody Putski, as that Heart Punch had slowed Putski down considerably. Finally, Smirnoff was able to get the win after the match passed the ten-minute mark. Alexis Smirnoff won with a Piledriver in a time of 10:47.
MATCH 4: TITO SANTANA VS BIG BOSS MAN This match was all Tito Santana. The Boss Man has not been the same since losing the Television Belt, and he seemed slow and distracted throughout this match. Two finishers from Tito Santana put Boss Man in the position of playing catch-up, but there was no catch-up for him as Santana went on to win this match just before the five-minute mark. Tito Santana won with a Flying Cross Body in a time of 4:45.
MATCH 5: D.E.W. HARDCORE CHAMP KILLER KHAN [TRG] VS BIG RED [GSR] -- Title Bout Big Red was able to utilize his finisher early. Killer Khan had not fully recovered from his loss to Andre a few days ago and it showed. Red let fly with a Leg Drop, nearly getting the win. Big Red sensed victory and went for his finisher again, and this time he was able to pick up the victory! Big Red won with his finisher-BIG SPLASH in a time of 5:40, thus Big Red is the NEW D.E.W. Hardcore Champion! Big Red gets 2 points for the Golden State Renegades by winning the match and the Belt!

Thanks, Crim! Check out the PPV next!
D.E.W. PAY-PER-VIEW
[/center] Card 9: PPV on April 26, 2009 @ the Oracle Arena in Oakland CA KEY: For matches between the Golden State Renegades and the Team Riot Gear teams, each will be identified by their initials. Renegades = [GSR] , Riot Gear = [TRG]. Ed Wiskowski was in the ring with a microphone in his hand. "Jay Youngblood: Tonight, this will be the end of the Golden State Warriors as you know it! Tonight, I take over Team Riot Gear by proving I should be their leader by defeating you for the Heavyweight Belt, and then I will dismantle the Golden State Renegades and reign supreme as the D.E.W. Heavyweight Champion for some time to come! Payment is due, Youngblood! And tonight, you will pay with your blood! Tonight is the last time you will ever see that Belt around your waist!"MATCH 1: COWBOY FRANKIE LANE [GSR] VS BOBBY DUNCUM [TRG]The opening match of the Pay-Per-View was not exciting at all, but at least it was quick. Bobby Duncum won when Frankie Lane was counted-out in a time of 2:24. Bobby Duncum receives 0 points for his team because his win was by DQ. MATCH 2: LARRY ZYBYSZKO & STANISLAUS ZYBYSZKO VS WAYNE BLOOM & MIKE ENOS (The Destruction Crew) Stanislaus used his finisher three times on Bloom before Bloom even could get into first gear! Luckily for Bloom, his partner Mike Enos saved him from defeat, and saved him again on the very next move by Stanislaus Zybyszko. Larry Zybyszko tagged in, as did Mike Enos. Enos received a beating and tagged back in a still-hurting Bloom. Larry went for a Spinning Back Kick which laid out Bloom, but somehow, Bloom managed to kick out of the three-count! Bloom, realizing that defeat was very close at hand, got himself disqualified to give the win to the Zybyszkos. Larry and Stanislaus Zybyszko won when Wayne Bloom was disqualified against Larry Zybyszko in a time of 6:20. MATCH 3: WAHOO McDANIEL [GSR] VS "WILD" RED BERRY [TRG]This was a match dominated by McDaniel. Red Berry could not withstand all the punishment he received at the hands of the crafty veteran. After three near-falls in the bout, McDaniel put Berry away with his finisher and Wahoo can be proud of the victory in this one. Wahoo won with his finisher-TOMAHAWK CHOP in a time of 6:03. Wahoo McDaniel's team received 1 point for the win! MATCH 4: BAD NEWS TIM BROOKS VS "CRIPPLER" RIP OLIVER -- Texas Bullrope Match A shot to the head with the cowbell split Oliver wide open early in this match! Tim Brooks, figuring he had the match well under control, relaxed a little. But it was a mistake, as Oliver went on to tear him up, gaining a pinfall in less than five minutes in this grudge match! Rip Oliver won with a Vertical Suplex in a time of 4:17. MATCH 5: DON GREENE VS MIKE GRAHAM Each of these wrestlers countered the other throughout the match. If Greene got a near-fall, Graham got a near-fall. If Greene hit a big move, Graham hit a big move. Finally, it looked as though Don Greene was going to win this one after hitting his finisher twice, but Graham somehow kicked out of each pin attempt, and managed to get the win shortly after that! Mike Graham got the pinfall with a Vertical Suplex (second match in a row!) in a time of 14:58. MATCH 6: D.E.W. TAG CHAMPIONS DUTCH SAVAGE & JIMMY SNUKA VS RPMS MIKE DAVIS & TOMMY LANE -- Title Bout Trying for the early win, Snuka made a Death Leap on Davis, but it was too early in the match to get the win that quickly. Davis kicked out at two. Snuka then rolled Davis up in a Small Package, only to have Davis escape defeat. Dutch Savage was tagged in by Snuka, and Savage wasted no time utilizing his finisher, which was enough to get the win for the Tag Champs! Dutch Savage & Jimmy Snuka won when Savage pinned Mike Davis with his finisher-RUNNING PILEDRIVER in a time of 2:38. After the match, as Savage and Snuka celebrated, Roddy Piper appeared near the backstage entrance. "It's time, Snuka!" Piper yelled into the mic. "Your career, as you know it, is OVER! My boys will take you apart piece-by-piece, and when they are through, there ain't nuthin that's going to be left but a greasy spot! Boys, let's go take those Belts from them and show the world what REAL champions are made of!"
There was a moment's pause. Piper had some back-up now, but who would it be? Out stepped Wayne Bloom and Mike Enos! These were the two that Piper now had backing him up! Savage and Snuka just laughed for a moment. No big threat here, they thought, as Bloom and Enos showed their faces. But wait -- it would be three-on-two now, and Piper liked those odds, obviously! In charged Piper with his "boys"! The brawl exploded in the ring, as these five pounded each other in and out of the ring! Finally, the rest of Dutch's Flying Dutchmen came down to help out the Tag Champs and finally cleared the ring of Piper and his cohorts! The fans cheered wildly for their Tag Champs, and a new war had begun!MATCH 7: MARK YOUNGBLOOD [GSR] VS CHRIS MARKOFF [TRG]Each wrestler used his finisher twice in the first few minutes of the match. It started off as a see-saw battle, but then Markoff took command. Two more near-falls by Markoff, and Mark Youngblood was left bloody and reeling! All that Markoff needed to do was put Youngblood away with his finisher, and it was all over as Chris Markoff won a hard-fought victory. Chris Markoff won with his finisher-PILEDRIVER in a time of 9:16. Chris Markoff's team received 1 point for the win! MATCH 8: D.E.W. TELEVISION CHAMPION AL GREENE [GSR] VS "Y2J" CHRIS JERICHO [TRG] -- Title Bout Starting off on the right foot, Al Greene got two near-falls on Jericho. Jericho fought back and was able to use his finisher, which almost spelled doom for the Television Champ! Making a comeback, Greene's talent won out as Al Greene went on to take the pinfall here. Al Greene won with a Power Bodyslam in a time of 15:33, thus Al Greene retains the D.E.W. Television Belt! Al Greene's team received 2 points for his team (1 point for the win, 1 point for the successful title defense)! INTERVIEW: MAGNUM T.A. -- Magnum T.A. spoke to the crowd before the next bout. "Thank you everyone for the welcome! I'm glad to be here in D.E.W., as this is a fresh start for me here in California. The fans have been so kind to me since I've arrived, and..." That is when Al Perez interrupted. "Spare me the brown-nosing, T.A.! You don't deserve to be here, and you know it! I have more talent in my little pinky than you have in your entire body!" "What's your problem, Perez?" is all that Magnum could say before Al Perez charged the ring! These two battled up and down the aisles and all the way into the back! Chairs went flying and each man let loose with everything they had in this brawl! What was Perez's problem with Magnum? That question would just have to be answered on another day! MATCH 9: SPECIAL MATCH: HULK HOGAN VS UNDERTAKER -- Coffin Match Undertaker knew his opponent well. Starting off with the upper hand, Undertaker nailed Hogan with a Short-arm Clothesline, and followed it up with two Tombstones! Hogan rallied back with a backbreaker! Undertaker then weakened Hogan with four big power moves, almost knocking Hogan unconscious! Undertaker looked like he was going to win this one, but hold on a second! Hogan "Hulked Up", and turned the tide on his assailant! In the course of three minutes, Hogan nailed Undertaker with his finisher three times, and it was over for the Deadman! Hulk Hogan won after using his finisher-LEG DROP in a time of 12:59. MATCH 10: D.E.W. HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION JAY YOUNGBLOOD VS ED WISKOWSKI -- Title Bout Knowing that Wiskowski was going to throw everything but the kitchen sink at him, Youngblood decided to strike first and used his finisher on Wiskowski to start things off! Wiskowski never fully recovered from this, and Youngblood went on prove that he was a deserving champion and soundly defeated Wiskowski and successfully defended his Belt at the PPV! Jay Youngblood won with a Running Dropkick in a time of 4:46, thus Jay Youngblood retained the D.E.W. Heavyweight Belt! Jay Youngblood's team received 1 point for the successful title defense! After the match, Jay Youngblood invited the crowd to celebrate with him in the ring, as balloons, confetti, and streamers rained down from the ceiling! All the fans enjoyed the first-ever D.E.W. Pay-Per-View as the night's matches came to a close!POINT TALLIES THUS FARGOLDEN STATE RENEGADES: Previous: 23 points This Card: 4 pointsTOTAL: 27 pointsTEAM RIOT GEAR: Previous: 15 points This Card: 1 pointsTOTAL: 16 pointsDARKSIDE EXTREME WRESTLING is a WTIC Production [/font][/size]

Card 10: D.E.W. House Show on Friday, May 1, 2009 @ the San Jose Civic Auditorium in San Jose CA
Tai "Killer" Weed was in the center of the ring as the night began. She had this to say: "Savage! Snuka! I have a challenge for you! Let's really see how good you two are! Come out here and face me!"
Dutch Savage and Jimmy Snuka complied and came down the aisle and into the ring. Tai continued, "I have two men that know they can take those Belts away from you, and are willing to face you tonight -- IF YOU'VE GOT THE GUTS!"
"Oh?" Dutch said into the mic he carried into the ring. "We don't hide from any contenders, Tai. We will take your men on tonight. Who are they, anyway?"
Tai turned to the audience and introduced -- THE THUNDERFOOTS!
Both Savage and Snuka got a good chuckle from that. "Sure, we'll take them on, no problem," Savage said.
"In a Title Bout?" Tai asked.
Snuka looked at Savage and nodded. Dutch Savage replied, "You got it, little lady!" And the night was underway!
MATCH 1: BARRY HARDY VS TEST Not much of a challenge for Test. Barry Hardy did manage to kick out of one of Test's finishers, but not the second one, as Test went on to win his debut match here in D.E.W. Test won with his finisher-TEST DRIVE in a time of 6:16.
MATCH 2: RPMS MIKE DAVIS & TOMMY LANE VS MASKED ASSASSIN & RIP OLIVER RPMS Mike Davis & Tommy Lane won when The Masked Assassin was disqualified against Mike Davis in a time of 2:11.
MATCH 3: AL COSTELLO VS MIKE GRAHAM (with Dutch Savage) Graham was no match for the Fabulous Roos team member, as Costello picked up the win. Al Costello won with his finisher-MARBLE BOR LEGLOCK in a time of 4:03.
MATCH 4: IVAN PUTSKI & TITO SANTANA VS WAYNE BLOOM & MIKE ENOS (Destruction Crew) Tito Santana had momentum and the match in hand, as Mike Enos could not counter Santana's offensive. Tito was tiring though, and tagged in Putski. Against Putski, Enos had better luck. Gaining a quick upper-hand, Enos was able to get the win with his tag finisher. Wayne Bloom & Mike Enos won when Bloom pinned Ivan Putski after Mike Enos used his tag finisher-WRECKING BALL in a time of 10:30.
MATCH 5: "RAGING BULL" MANNY FERNANDEZ VS TEIJHO KHAN With Fernandez just coming off an injury he suffered while over in the SSW federation, Teijho Khan went right to work on him from the opening bell. Two finishers from Khan and it was just about over for the Raging Bull. Fernandez fought back and nearly got the win with a Raging Bulldozer, but Khan kicked out at the two-count. Regaining the offensive, Teijho Khan put an end to the match by using his finisher to get the upset win in less than ten minutes. Teijho Khan won with his finisher-ASIAN NECKBREAKER in a time of 9:12.
MATCH 6: D.E.W. TAG CHAMPS DUTCH SAVAGE & JIMMY SNUKA VS THUNDERFOOT #1 & THUNDERFOOT #2 (with Tai "Killer" Weed) -- Title Bout Although Thunderfoot #1 attacked Snuka first to begin the match, Snuka exploded offensively, and was able to take home an easy victory in less than two minutes! Dutch Savage & Jimmy Snuka won when Snuka used his finisher-SUPERFLY DEATH LEAP on Thunderfoot #1 in a time of 1:44. After the match, Tai "Killer" Weed was FURIOUS! "You two are the worst example of a tag team I have ever seen! I'm NEVER going to be your manager ever again!" She spat on both of them and stormed backstage!
MATCH 7: PAUL DIAMOND (with Pat Tanaka) VS STEVE "MONGO" MCMICHAEL Paul Diamond won when Steve McMichael was disqualified in a time of just 0:58.
MATCH 8: D.E.W. HARDCORE CHAMPION BIG RED VS THE GRAPPLER -- Title Bout Trying to prove he was not a flash-in-the-pan, Big Red began the match out-powering his opponent. Before The Grappler knew it, Big Red hit him with his finisher, and it was over! Big Red won after using his finisher-BIG SPLASH in a time of 3:08, thus Big Red retained the Hardcore Belt!

Good to hear from you again, Tafka! It's been too long!
Thanks for reading, Crim! Glad you enjoyed it!
Card 11: D.E.W. TV Taping on Saturday May 2, 2009 @ the Kaiser Convention Center in Oakland CA
Ted Arcidi, a new draftee to D.E.W. was ready to address the crowd as the evening began (translated from the thick Bostonian accent, naturally). "People, I am here to give you the best news you've ever heard in your lives: I have been named General Manager of D.E.W.!"
This got a loud round of boos from the crowd. After all, this was not T.A.G.! Arcidi continued, "Yes, that's right! T.A.G. has been REBORN and I intend to lead this company in a new and wondrous direction! First up, since Big Boss Man seems to no longer hold the D.E.W. Television Belt and has had a number of losses in the recent past, we are going to name a NEW leader to Team Riot Gear! But this won't be me just naming someone, no. We will have here tonight, a Fatal-4Way match to determine who's going to be leader! Big Boss Man will be one of the four, it seems only fitting he get a chance to prove himself. The second wrestler in the 4Way will be 'Rowdy' Roddy Piper! The third one will be Ed Wiskowski. And the fourth one will be... ME, of course! And coming up with this 4Way is my first act as the new D.E.W. General Manager!"
Arcidi left the ring, very pleased with himself. He was completely oblivious to the core of boos that bombarded him on his way backstage.
MATCH 1: DON GREENE VS KILLER KHAN A fairly quick match, as Khan proved no challenge for Greene here. Don Greene won with his finisher-KNOCKOUT HAYMAKER in a time of 3:15.
MATCH 2: WAHOO McDANIEL & BILLY WHITE WOLF VS AL MADRIL & AL PEREZ As the match began, Wahoo was in total control against Al Madril. After Madril ran face-first into the turnbuckle, Wahoo smashed Madril with his finisher, followed by a Boston Crab! Luckily, Al Perez broke up the submission attempt, and soon tagged in. After McDaniel tagged in White Wolf, it was almost curtains for White Wolf when Perez caught White Wolf in a Sleeper. Then White Wolf turned things around and managed to get the win on his next pin attempt! Wahoo McDaniel & Billy White Wolf won when White Wolf pinned Al Perez with a Running Leg Drop in a time of 15:47.
PIPER'S PIT: AL GREENE -- Piper started out the Pit boasting about how easy it will be to win the 4Way later. Piper completely ignored D.E.W. Television Champion Al Greene in the process. Once Piper finished his boasting, he left! Al Greene picked up the mic and said to the crowd: "As a true champion should, I am granting the Mighty Igor a non-title match tonight because of his win last month at the Bunkhouse Battle Royal series. He proved he deserves a chance at this Belt that I hold, and I hope he tries his best tonight, because I know I will!"
MATCH 3: MARK YOUNGBLOOD (with Jay Youngblood) VS NATHAN JONES Nathan Jones won his debut match with his finisher-CHOKESLAM in a time of 2:35.
MATCH 4: D.E.W. TELEVISION CHAMPION AL GREENE (with Don Greene) VS THE MIGHTY IGOR -- Non-title bout Using a page out of Igor’s offensive playbook, Greene slapped a Bearhug on Igor to start the match. Igor broke the hold and countered with a Clothesline. After this, Greene took over and delivered Forearm Clubs which stunned Igor. Finally, Greene went for the kill and got the win! Al Greene got the pinfall with a Power Bodyslam in a time of 13:03.
MATCH 5: LARRY ZYBYSZKO & STANISLAUS ZYBYSZKO VS "WILD" RED BERRY & ROY HEFFERNAN Stanislaus Zybyszko started the match against Heffernan. After a tag team maneuver, in came Red Berry. Stanislaus went right for his finisher, and got the win for his team! Larry Zybyszko & Stanislaus Zybyszko won when Stanislaus used his finisher-STANDING HEEL HOOK on Red Berry in a time of 1:40.
MATCH 6: D.E.W. HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION JAY YOUNGBLOOD VS PAT TANAKA -- Non-title bout Trying to end the match early, Jay Youngblood used his finisher on Tanaka. Shrugging this off, Tanaka came back with a pin attempt of his own after hitting Youngblood with a Flying Forearm. Jay responded with his finisher, trying to put Tanaka asleep in the middle of the ring. Tanaka reached the ropes, however, and the match continued. Youngblood went for his Sleeper finisher another three times, and was frustrated by his failure with the move. Finally, Youngblood used his second finisher to get the hard-fought victory over his resilient opponent. Jay Youngblood won with his finisher-TOP ROPE TOMAHAWK in a time of 12:33.
MATCH 7: MAGNUM T.A. VS CHRIS JERICHO Magnum met the Walls of Jericho not once, but twice! This was too much for Magnum to overcome, and Magnum tapped out in just over three minutes. Chris Jericho won with his finisher-WALLS OF JERICHO in a time of 3:01.
MATCH 8: TED ARCIDI VS BIG BOSSMAN VS RODDY PIPER VS ED WISKOWSKI -- Fatal 4-Way The first pin attempt came after Boss Man delivered a Running Spear on Ted Arcidi. Roddy Piper broke up the three-count on this one. Boss Man then hit Piper with his finisher, and Piper was in no shape to kick out! Thus, Piper was eliminated from the match! FIRST FALL: Big Boss Man pinned Piper with his finisher-BOSS MAN SLAM in a time of 2:31.
After many pin attempts, these three were still battling after over twenty minutes of hard-fought action! Finally, Ed Wiskowski eliminated Boss Man to cut the match down to two wrestlers! SECOND FALL: Ed Wiskowski used his finisher-FLYING HEADBUTT to pin Boss Man in a time of 26:37.
After resting a bit as Wiskowski and Boss Man went at it in the Second Fall, Ted Arcidi clamped his finisher on Wiskowski, and the final fall was over in less than four minutes! Ted Arcidi won with his finisher-BEARHUG in a time of 3:04, thus Ted Arcidi is the new leader of Team Riot Gear! Arcidi grabbed a mic before going backstage and said, "A new day has dawned here in D.E.W.! Golden State Renegades: The war has just begun!"

Arcidi...... FIXED!!!

Post by wticpromoter on May 4, 2009 16:46:37 GMT -4
I am sure EVERYONE thinks that, but honestly, it wasn't! The dice rolled Arcidi's way in that match!
Card 12: D.E.W. TV Taping on Monday, May 4, 2009 @ the Sacramento Convention Center in Sacramento CA The Golden State Renegades, after winning last month's team tally competition, got the first pick of the draftees that D.E.W. drafted in the Free Agent Draft at the end of last month. They chose TEST as their first draft choice! Ted Arcidi revealed that his group would be known as "Ted Arcidi's Gang", or TAG for short. Arcidi's Gang had the next draft choice. They chose AL MADRIL! After the first choices accepted, the rest of the draft choices refused to go to the team that drafted them, except for Tai "Killer" Weed! Arcidi extended an invitation to her. Ted wanted her to manage T.A.G. Reborn, and she accepted! Another invite went out to Manny Fernandez from Ted Arcidi. Arcidi wanted to build a stable with former T.A.G. members, and Ted certainly wanted the former T.A.G. Heavyweight Champ to join his team! Fernandez approached the podium and SLAPPED Arcidi right in the face! "Fernandez, you are gonna regret this to your dying day!" Arcidi shouted after recomposing himself after the rejection.
Both groups then announced all of their team members to the media. In the month of May, the Golden State Renegades will consist of the Heavenly Bodies (Al & Don Greene), Renegade Nation (Mark & Jay Youngblood, Wahoo McDaniel, and Billy White Wolf), the RPMs (Mike Davis & Tommy Lane), Magnum T.A. & Manny Fernandez, Ivan Putski & Tito Santana, Larry & Stanislaus Zybyszko, Big Red, and Test.
Ted Arcidi's Gang will consist of The Fabulous Kangaroos (Al Costello & Roy Heffernan), Rip's Army (Rip Oliver, The Grappler, and the Masked Assassin), T.A.G. Reborn (Ted Arcidi, Al Madril, and Al Perez), Big Boss Man & Typhoon, Piper's Crew (Roddy Piper, Wayne Bloom, and Mike Enos), Killer Khan, Teijho Khan, and Chris Jericho.
Those not associated with either group are the Flying Dutchmen (Dutch Savage, Jimmy Snuka, and Mike Graham), Colonel of the Guard (Ed Wiskowski, Nathan Jones, and Steve "Mongo" McMichael), Badd Company (Paul Diamond & Pat Tanaka), Thunderfoot #1 & #2, and Barry Hardy.
KEY: For matches between the Golden State Renegades and the Ted Arcidi’s Gang teams, each will be identified by their initials. Renegades = [GSR], Ted Arcidi’s Gang = [TAG].
MATCH 1: MIGHTY IGOR VS THUNDERFOOT #2 Mighty Igor won with his finisher-BEARHUG in a time of just 0:27.
MATCH 2: PAUL DIAMOND & PAT TANAKA (Badd Company) VS TED ARCIDI & AL PEREZ Once Diamond and Tanaka got rolling, it was over for the T.A.G. Reborn team members. Paul Diamond & Pat Tanaka won when Tanaka pinned Arcidi after Diamond's tag finisher-SLINGSHOT / DDT in a time of 2:41.
MATCH 3: MIKE GRAHAM VS STEVE "MONGO" McMICHAEL Mike Graham won with an Atomic Drop in a time of just 0:36.
MATCH 4: WAHOO McDANIEL & MARK YOUNGBLOOD [GSR] VS THE GRAPPLER & MASKED ASSASSIN [TAG] Mark Youngblood & Wahoo McDaniel won when the referee disqualified the Masked Assassin for loading up his mask before delivering a Loaded Headbutt in a time of 0:46. Youngblood & McDaniel win 1 point for their team!
MATCH 5: STANISLAUS ZYBYSZKO [GSR] VS TYPHOON [TAG] -- Texas Death Hardcore In the longest bout of the fight card, it was all Zybyszko in this one. After two near-falls, Zybyszko had to use his finisher FOUR times in order to pick up a win over the tough Typhoon. Stanislaus Zybyszko won with his finisher-STANDING HEEL HOOK in 15:00. Stanislaus won 1 point for his team for the win, plus 1 point for a win over a feuding opponent!
MATCH 6: MANNY FERNANDEZ [GSR] VS "ROWDY" RODDY PIPER [TAG] Manny Fernandez got the pin with a Vertical Suplex in a time of 2:15. Fernandez won 1 point for his team with the win!
MATCH 7: D.E.W. TELEVISION CHAMPION AL GREENE VS ED WISKOWSKI -- Non-title bout The early advantage went to Wiskowski, as Ed got the first pin attempt of the match. Greene fought back, managing four pin attempts along the way to a victory over Wiskowski. Al Greene got the pinfall after some Vicious Kicks in a time of 3:04.
MATCH 8: LARRY ZYBYSZKO [GSR] VS KILLER KHAN [TAG] These two kept at each other, with alternating pin attempts and near-falls! Khan struck first with a Mongolian Chop, Larry countered with his finisher. After another four pin attempts like this, it was Khan that finally put an end to the match with his finisher to take home the win. Killer Khan won with his finisher-SECOND ROPE KNEEDROP in a time of 13:19. Killer Khan won 1 point for his team with the win!
MATCH 9: D.E.W. HARDCORE CHAMPION BIG RED [GSR] VS TEIJHO KHAN [TAG] -- Title Bout An impressive win / loss record earned Teijho a shot at the Hardcore Championship. He wasted little time going straight for his finisher. The resilient Red was able to escape the three-count this time, but was not so lucky the next time around, as Teijho Khan gained a victory here! Teijho Khan got the pin with an Asian Spike in a time of 10:02 and became the NEW D.E.W. Hardcore Champion for the first time!! Teijho Khan got 1 point for winning over a feud opponent, plus 1 point for winning the Belt!

The T.A.G. has been made, I have a feeling that we could see GSR take this months team battle and be the dominate force in the DEW!

I knew it would only be a matter of time before some sort of TAG would be involved... Boss Man just couldn't cut it, I guess.

You just may be right there, Crim!
WF, TAG is here to stay!
Card 13: D.E.W. House Show on Saturday May 9, 2009 @ the Maples Pavilion in Stanford CA Magnum T.A. and Manny Fernandez were in the locker room with Test.
"You know, Test," Magnum started, "You have a lot of potential. Manny and I have been following your career since you got here in D.E.W., and we would like to offer you a position in our team."
This caught Test's interest, but he did not say anything in response.
"There's only one thing troubling us, Test," Manny said. "We have news from a reliable source that you had dinner with Tai 'Killer' Weed last night. She's a bad influence, Test. She will lead you down the wrong trail."
"Thank you for your concern, guys," Test replied. I think I am old enough to handle my own relationships as an adult. As for the invite to your team, let me think about it for a bit."
"Sounds reasonable," Magnum responded. "Just don't let Tai and Ted Arcidi lure you to their side." Test seemed to acknowledge this, and left the room.
KEY: For matches between the Golden State Renegades and the Ted Arcidi’s Gang teams, each will be identified by their initials. Renegades = [GSR] , Ted Arcidi’s Gang = [TAG]. MATCH 1: RIP OLIVER VS THUNDERFOOT #1 An easy match for Rip, as Thunderfoot #1 proved to be no competition for the veteran. Rip Oliver won with his finisher-SHOULDER BREAKER in a time of 2:58.
MATCH 2: NATHAN JONES (with Ed Wiskowski) VS BARRY HARDY Taking his merry old time with Hardy, Jones was able to get the win eventually. Nathan Jones won with his finisher-CHOKESLAM in a time of 6:29.
MATCH 3: RPMS MIKE DAVIS & TOMMY LANE [GSR] VS WAYNE BLOOM & MIKE ENOS (Destruction Crew, with Roddy Piper) [TAG] The Destruction Crew must have had their minds elsewhere, as Mike Davis & Tommy Lane quickly dismantled them and won match in less than two minutes. Mike Davis & Tommy Lane won when Lane used his finisher-SLEEPERHOLD on Mike Enos in a time of 1:51. The RPMs won 1 point for their team!
MATCH 4: BILLY WHITE WOLF [GSR] VS AL COSTELLO (with Red Berry) [TAG] This match was fairly uninteresting, with no pin attempts or submission attempts at all. Both wrestlers were disqualified in a time of 4:38. No points for either team because of the double-DQ.
MATCH 5: TEST [GSR] VS "Y2J" CHRIS JERICHO (with Ted Arcidi) [TAG] As the underdog in this match, Test had something to prove. Looking impressive is an understatement, as Test hit Jericho with a Big Boot for his first near-fall, and a Gut Wrench Power Bomb for his second near-fall. Jericho was in no shape to come back, as Test went for his finisher, and got the win in what had to be a very impressive upset for Test. Test won with his finisher-TEST DRIVE in a time of 7:02. Test won 1 point for the win, and 1 bonus point for the victory over a feuding opponent! After the match, Ted Arcidi smiled at Test and extended his hand for a handshake. Test stared at him for a minute, then headed for the dressing rooms without shaking Arcidi's hand. How much longer would Test resist joining Arcidi's team? That question was left unanswered, for tonight at least.
MATCH 6: D.E.W. TAG CHAMPS DUTCH SAVAGE & JIMMY SNUKA VS IVAN PUTSKI & TITO SANTANA -- Non-title Tito Santana faced off against Dutch Savage to start the match. These two were fairly evenly matched, and soon each tagged in their partners. Jimmy Snuka could not match Putski's power and got frustrated enough to cause a disqualification, giving the match to the challengers! Ivan Putski & Tito Santana won when Jimmy Snuka was disqualified against Ivan Putski in a time of 7:59, thus Putski & Santana receive a Title Bout on the next fight card! Putski & Santana get 2 points for their team with the non-title win!
MATCH 7: DON GREENE [GSR] VS BIG BOSS MAN [TAG] After several recent losses, Boss Man felt he had something to prove. Taking his aggressions out on Greene, Boss Man unleashed a fierce offensive against his opponent. Two finishers to start the match left Don Greene battered and nearly beaten. Greene's partner, Al Greene charged the ring, causing Don Greene to get disqualified in the process. Big Boss Man won when Don Greene was disqualified for outside interference in a time of 3:29. Boss Man does not get any points for his team due to the DQ.
MATCH 8: D.E.W. HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION JAY YOUNGBLOOD [GSR] VS ROY HEFFERNAN (with Red Berry) [TAG] -- Non-title Proving to be a dominant champion, Jay Youngblood quickly disposed of Heffernan after scoring two near-falls on his opponent. Red Berry was not even a factor in this match. Jay Youngblood won with his finisher-SLEEPERHOLD in a time of 1:16. Jay won 2 points for the non-title victory!
MATCH 9: MAGNUM T.A. [GSR] VS AL MADRIL [TAG] -- Ladder Match A focused and determined Magnum caught Madril off-guard as Magnum went on to an easy win. Magnum T.A. got the win after using his finisher-BELLY-TO-BELLY SUPLEX in a time of 1:45. Magnum won 1 point for the win, and 1 bonus point for the victory over a feuding opponent!

Yeah, Biz. TAG needs to rebound, and quickly!
Card 14: D.E.W. TV Taping on Sunday May 10, 2009 @ the Haas Pavilion in Berkeley CA
Jimmy Snuka, holding onto the D.E.W. Tag Team Belt, addressed the camera before the matches started. "This is what it's all about, Brother! This right here is the Tag Team Championship! Ivan Putski, Tito Santana: You two are going to have to dig down deep to be able to take this away from me! We'll find out tonight if you two have what it takes to get the job done!"
KEY: For matches between the Golden State Renegades and the Ted Arcidi’s Gang teams, each will be identified by their initials. Renegades = [GSR], Ted Arcidi’s Gang = [TAG].
MATCH 1: BARRY HARDY VS AL PEREZ It took some time for Perez to get the win here, as Hardy fought hard not to lose, but in the end, Hardy could not escape Al Perez's finisher, and Barry Hardy had to tap out. Al Perez won with his finisher-SPINNING TOEHOLD in a time of 8:35.
MATCH 2: RPMS MIKE DAVIS & TOMMY LANE [GSR] VS TED ARCIDI & AL MADRIL [TAG] Mike Davis did not do too well against Madril. Madril had two near-falls, plus almost made Davis submit to his finisher. Once Ted Arcidi was tagged in, Arcidi nearly got the pinfall with a big Press Slam. Luckily, Davis finally managed to tag in Tommy Lane, and Lane did better. Tommy Lane used both his singles finisher and his tag finisher against Arcidi, bringing Davis back into the ring. All that Davis needed to do was apply a Sleeper and take home the win! RPMs Mike Davis & Tommy Lane won when Davis used his finisher-SLEEPERHOLD on Ted Arcidi in a time of 5:53. The RPMs won 1 point with the win for their team!
MATCH 3: PAT TANAKA VS TYPHOON Pat Tanaka was on the losing end here, as Typhoon had two near-falls, and then Typhoon used his finisher on Tanaka, only to see Paul Diamond interfere, costing Tanaka the match. Typhoon won when Tanaka was disqualified for outside interference in a time of 11:40.
MATCH 4: BIG RED [GSR] VS KILLER KHAN [TAG] -- Coal Miner’s Glove Match Khan never let up against Big Red in this one. One near-fall and two finishers later, and Khan came away from this grudge match with a victory. Killer Khan won with his finisher-SECOND ROPE KNEEDROP in a time of 3:15. After the bell rang signaling the end of the match, Khan retrieved the Coal Miner's glove and attacked Big Red with it, causing a five card injury on Big Red! Killer Khan won 1 point with the win for his team, plus 1 bonus point for the win over a feuding opponent!
MATCH 5: LARRY ZYBYSZKO & STANISLAUS ZYBYSZKO VS NATHAN JONES & STEVE "MONGO" McMICHAEL (PowerStrike) Both Zybyszkos used their finishers in this match, but in the end, PowerStrike got the win. Nathan Jones & Steve McMichael won when Larry Zybyszko was disqualified against McMichael in a time of 11:54.
MATCH 6: D.E.W. HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION JAY YOUNGBLOOD [GSR] VS BIG BOSS MAN [TAG] -- Non-title bout This turned out not to be a good match for Boss Man. Jay Youngblood simply dominated the match with two near-falls and the use of both his finishers. Very little offense from Boss Man meant he was not going to win here, as the Heavyweight Champion looked great! Jay Youngblood got the pinfall with a Cross Body Block in a time of 8:22. Jay won 1 point with the win for his team, plus 1 bonus point for the win over a feuding opponent!
MATCH 7: MIKE GRAHAM (with Dutch Savage) VS "Y2J" CHRIS JERICHO Chris Jericho won when Graham was disqualified in a time of 3:46.
MATCH 8: D.E.W. TAG CHAMPS DUTCH SAVAGE & JIMMY SNUKA VS IVAN PUTSKI & TITO SANTANA -- Title Bout The Title Bout started with Jimmy Snuka having the upper hand against Ivan Putski. Superfly Snuka was using his agility to his advantage here. Once Snuka had his man ready for his finisher, Snuka ascended the top rope, and came down with a big Superfly Death Leap! Tito Santana tried to make the save, and in came Dutch Savage too! All four men brawled in the ring, and the referee had no choice but to disqualified both teams to end the match. This ended in a double-DQ when both Ivan Putski and Jimmy Snuka were disqualified in a time of 5:12.
