[glow=red,2,300]ROCKY MOUNTAIN MADNESS[/glow] 3-20-08 Denver Coliseum Denver, CO
(RMM intro)
(Bill Apter and Gary Michael Cappetta sit at the ringside announce position.)
Apter: Good evening and welcome to another edition of Rocky Mountain Madness. I’m Bill Apter, along with Gary Michael Cappetta and we’re sorting everything out after Wrestlefest this passed Monday.
GMC: We have some new champions and some new faces.
Apter: We’ll get to all that as we go through the night. Right now, let’s head to the ring.
Orient Express (Killer Khan & Great Kabuki w/Skandor Akbar) vs. Black Gordman & Great Goliath Gordman pinned Khan after a DIAMOND TWIST. After the match, Afa and Sika came to the ring and attacked Goliath, laying him out. Then Khan, Kabuki and the Samoans viciously attacked Gordman. The foursome, with the encouragement of Akbar, beat Gordman badly and left him in a bloody heap in the middle of the ring.
(break)
Apter: I’m not entirely sure what that attack by Devastation Inc. was about.
GMC: Me neither, Bill, but Jason Marcus is in the dressing room to find out.
(Jason Marcus and Skandor Akbar are in the dressing room interview area. Members of Devastation Inc. keep wandering in and out of view.)
Marcus: Thanks, GMC. General, what’s with the unprovoked attack on Black Gordman?
Akbar: What are you talking about unprovoked? That man tried to end my man’s career. But that wasn’t the reason for the beat down. No, that was a message to that good for nothing H Corporation. That, Gary Hart, is what will happen to you and your men if you get in the way of Devastation Inc. You tried to at Wrestlefest but your men weren’t able to win any titles either. Get in our way and you will pay with your blood.
Marcus: A warning from Skandor Akbar and Devastation Inc. Back to you at ringside.
Scott Norton vs. Pierre Vachon (w/Gary Hart) This was a great match. Norton was uncharacteristically agile with dropkicks and deathjumps before beating Vachon with a flying shoulder tackle.
(break)
Apter: Before the break we saw Scott Norton and coming up next is a match featuring his new tag team partner Tony Halme.
GMC: Those two had an altercation with the Blade Runners at Wrestlefest. Take a look.
(Footage from Wrestlefest) Gordman pinned Rock after a DIAMOND TWIST. After the match, Scott Norton and Tony Halme attacked the Blade Runners. Norton blasted Flash with a chair, knocking him out. Then they blasted Rock. Norton and Halme set up a table in the middle of the ring then Norton powerbombed Rock through the table. Halme picked up Rock and locked him in an ARGENTINE BACKBREAKER. RMWA officials broke up the carnage in the ring but needed a stretcher to get Rock back to the locker room.
Blade Runner Rock is still recovering from his injuries but he will be on hand this Saturday when the Blade Runners face Norton & Halme on Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Apter: We’ll talk more about SNME after this match.
Flash vs. Tony Halme Halme is disqualified for slamming Flash on the concrete floor outside the ring after the ref warned him not to.
(break)
Apter: Before our last match we mentioned the next presentation of Saturday Night’s Main Event takes place this weekend, live from the Marriott Center on the campus of Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.
GMC: One of the matches already announced is a tables match between the Blade Runners and the new team of Scott Norton and Tony Halme.
Apter: Another match that’s been announced and the main event for that show will be Harley Race and his partner defending the Rocky Mountain Tag Team Titles that Race won at Wrestlefest against Rick & Scott Steiner.
GMC: Harley hasn’t announced who his partner is yet but I have a pretty good idea who it will be.
Apter: I do too, Gary. Now let’s go to our next match.
Larry “The Axe” Hennig vs. Brian Lee Hennig beat Lee with THE AXE.
(break)
(Back from break and Bill Apter is on the set of the Hot Seat.)
Apter: Ladies and gentlemen please welcome to the Hot Seat, Rocky Mountain Heavyweight Champion and one half of the Rocky Mountain Tag Team Champions Harley Race.
(Race and Larry Hennig come onto the set to a huge pop from the crowd.)
Welcome gentlemen. Harley, I’ll get right to it, I assume this man standing to your right is the other half of the Rocky Mountain Tag Team Champions.
Race: You would assume correct, Bill.
Apter: And this Saturday you guys will defend those belts against Rick & Scott Steiner. What do you expect from the Steiners.
Race: Rick & Scott are very tough competitors and I know they’ll give us all we can handle.
Apter: What about you Axe? How does it feel to be the new Rocky Mountain Tag Team Champions.
Hennig: I feel honored to have Harley select me as his partner and I just hope to not make him sorry he did.
(Suddenly, the Wild Samoans and Skandor Akbar appear on the set.)
Akbar: Ah, isn’t this sweet. Let’s all hold hands and sing Cumbya. (Akbar spits) I can’t believe I’m hearing this. The Steiners get a title shot? It should be the Samoans. After all, they were the ones that took the belts off the Steiners to begin with.
Apter: Well, I’m sorry General Akbar but this is the match that Promoter Madkanter has signed.
(Akbar grabs Apter by the lapels and he’s decked by Race. The Wild Samoans attack Race and Hennig then a wild brawl erupts.)
(break)
Apter: Welcome back. Gee, Gary, the Hot Seat gets hotter by the week.
GMC: That’s why they pay you the big bucks, Bill.
Apter: Don’t I wish but we are now getting word that this Saturday’s Rocky Mountain Tag Team Title match has been made into a Triple Threat Match to include the Wild Samoans.
GMC: Looks like Akbar got what he wanted. We’ll have to wait and see if the Samoans can take advantage of this opportunity. Also, this Saturday there will be an announcement regarding our next supercard the McCallister Memorial Tag Team Tournament.
Yukon Red (Yukon Eric & Billy “Red” Lyons) vs. The Kentuckians (Grizzly Smith & Luke Brown) Eric made Smith submit to the KODIAK KRUNCH. After the match, Gary Hart led Pierre & Damien Vachon and Tenta to the ring and attacked The Kentuckians. First it was Tenta giving Brown an avalanche against the ring post. Then Pierre gave Smith the LEGACY OF PAIN. Finally Damien locked Smith in the PITBULL LOCK until officials came down to ringside and stopped the carnage.
(break)
Wild Samoans (Afa & Sika w/Skandor Akbar) vs. Golden Boys (Bob Backlund & Steve Keirn w/Gary Hart) Another great back and forth match. Backlund pinned Afa after an ATOMIC KNEE DROP.
(break)
Apter: It’s time for tonight’s main event. Let’s find out if Bison Smith can regain the title he lost at Wrestlefest. Up to the ring and Gary Michael Cappetta.
GMC: Ladies and gentlemen, this is the main event of the evening. This match is for the Rocky Mountain Television Championship. Already in the ring, the challenger. Hailing from Boulder, Colorado and weighing in at 273 pounds, Bison Smith.
(Smith acknowledges the crowd to a mixed reaction.)
Now coming to the ring, the champion. Hailing from Bay City, Michigan and weighing in at 255 pounds, Scott Steiner.
(Steiner comes to the ring to a mixed reaction.)
Rocky Mountain Television Title Match Bison Smith vs. Rocky Mountain Television Champion Scott Steiner Smith and Steiner went all out. Very high impact and the hardest hitting match of the night. Smith was able to hit Steiner with a flying body splash then the BISONTENIAL to win the title.
Apter: Bison Smith has regained the Rocky Mountain Television Title.
GMC: He certainly has and now we’re getting word that he’ll have to defend that belt this Saturday against Bob Backlund.
Apter: No rest for the weary, I suppose. We’re out of time. For Gary Michael Cappetta, I’m Bill Apter saying we’ll see you at the matches.

[glow=red,2,300]THE JASON MARCUS CHRONICLES #8[/glow]
(Jason Marcus is backstage after Rocky Mountain Madness.)
Marcus: Here we are with another edition of the Jason Marcus Chronicles. Tonight we saw a “can you top this” of sorts between Devastation Inc. and the H Corporation. I’m here with Gary Hart and Gary were you trying to do the same thing Skandor Akbar claimed to be trying to do and send a message?
Hart: You’re d**n right. Anything Devastation Inc. can do, the H Corporation can do better. Akbar, careful what you wish for because one day you just might get it. Akbar, your gang of thugs would’ve never been in that match at Wrestlefest had is not been for the involvement of the H Corporation. You just better watch yourself because when my men get a hold of yours the blood will spill.
Marcus: Wow, things really are really starting heat up between those two factions. Moving on, I’ve been able to catch up with Blade Runner Flash. Flash, how is your partner?
Flash: Woooooooooow! Rock is doing a-ok! He’ll be ready to go by this Saturday.
Marcus: So, you have no worries about your tables match against Scott Norton and Tony Halme.
Flash: No worries at all. Those two big oak trees are going to get chopped down and TIMBER!!! Right through those tables.
Marcus: Flash is a very confident man. That’s all the time we have for tonight. We’ll talk to you next time.

[glow=red,2,300]SATURDAY NIGHT’S MAIN EVENT[/glow] 3-22-08 Marriott Center Provo, UT
(Bill Apter and Gary Michael Cappetta sit at the ringside announce position.)
Apter: Good evening and welcome to this broadcast of Saturday Night’s Main Event. I’m Bill Apter, along with Gary Michael Cappetta and we’re coming to you live from the Marriot Center on the campus of Brigham Young University.
GMC: We have three feature matches tonight including our main event. Rocky Mountain Tag Team Champions Harley Race & Larry “The Axe” Hennig defend their belts in a Triple Threat Match against Rick & Scott Steiner and the Wild Samoans.
Apter: In our other feature matches Rocky Mountain Television Champion Bison Smith defends his title against Bob Backlund and the Blade Runners face the new team of Scott Norton and Tony Halme in a tables match. We start out, tonight, with a grudge match between two former tag team partners.
Tenta (w/Gary Hart) vs. Kokina (w/Skandor Akbar) Tenta pinned Kokina with a a TENTA VERTICAL SPLASH.
(break)
Yukon Red (Yukon Eric & Billy “Red” Lyons) vs. Johnny Mormon & John Brigham Joseph (local) Lyons made Joseph submit to a FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK.
(break)
Apter: Devastation Inc. and the H Corporation are deep in an embattled feud.
GMC: Yeah, just look what each of these groups was responsible for this passed Thursday on Rocky Mountain Madness.
(Footage from RMM 3-20-08) Gordman pinned Khan after a DIAMOND TWIST.
Eric made Smith submit to the KODIAK KRUNCH.
Apter: And now we get to see what they can do to each other.
Pierre & Damien Vachon (w/Gary Hart) vs. Orient Express (Killer Khan & Great Kabuki w/Skandor Akbar) Khan pinned Pierre after a standing leg drop. After the match, Tenta and Steve Keirn came to the ring. Tenta hit Kabuki from behind with a chair and knocked him out cold. Hart brawled with Akbar and took him to the back. Meanwhile, Khan was stuck in a four on one assault in the ring. Pierre gave Khan a SIT OUT CHOKESLAM. Then it was Damien and Keirn with flying elbows to the chest. Finally, Tenta delivered three consecutive TENTA VERTICAL SPLASHES.
GMC: I guess that answers our question.
Apter: Indeed it does. RMWA officials are going to need a squeegee to get Killer Khan off the mat. The only man not involved in that attack is the man challenging for the Rocky Mountain Television Title after this break.
(break)
Rocky Mountain Television Title Match Bob Backlund (w/Gary Hart) vs. Rocky Mountain Television Champion Bison Smith Smith looked to be a little off his game and Backlund took advantage. Backlund pinned Smith after a delayed vertical suplex to win the title.
Apter: What a huge surprise.
GMC: Yes it was. I’m not sure if you can call this an upset with the caliber of wrestler Backlund is but with as dominant as Bison has been, you almost have to.
(break)
Apter: It’s time for our tables match. In order for a man to be pinned, he first must be sent through a table.
Tables Match Blade Runners (Rock & Flash) vs. Scott Norton & Tony Halme Norton and Halme were in control at the start. Halme set up a table outside the ring and splashed Rock through it with a splash from the apron. After a spinebuster slam inside the ring, Halme set up another table outside the ring and set Rock on top of it. Halme again connected on a splash from the apron sending Rock through a second table. Rock, somehow, managed to reverse the momentum and rammed Halme’s head into a table three times but the table did not break. Rock then set up two tables on top of each other outside the ring. Rock placed Halme on top of the two tables then climbed to the top turnbuckle. Rock splashed Halme through both of the tables. Both men were hurt but Halme more than Rock. Rock rolled Halme back in the ring and attempted a pin. Norton came in and broke it up. That brought in Flash and a wild brawl erupted. Rock found another table as the ref tried to restore order and speared it into a prone Halme. Then Rock brought Halme outside the ring and set him up on a table that was there. Rock nailed Halme with a splash from the apron sending Halme through another table. Rock smashed Halme’s head into another table a couple more times, finally busting Halme open. Rock rolled Halme back in the ring, grabbed a chair and followed him. Rock set Halme up in the corner then bashed him in the head with the chair. A bloody imprint of Halme’s face was left in the chair. Halme staggered out of the corner and Rock put him down with a clothesline. Rock attempted a pin. Norton tried to make the save but was stopped by Flash and the Blade Runners won the match.
Apter: It seems the tables were turned on Norton and Halme in this one.
GMC: Heh heh, that was awful, Bill.
Apter: Heh heh, I couldn’t resist. Our main event is next.
(break)
(GMC is in the ring for the introduction of the main event.)
GMC: Ladies and gentlemen, this match is our main event, is for the Rocky Mountain Tag Team Titles and will be fought under Triple Threat rules. Already in the ring, being accompanied by their manager Skandor Akbar, hailing from the Isle of Samoa and weighing in at a combined weight of 646 pounds, Afa, Sika, The Wild Samoans.
(Crowd boos loudly)
Next coming down the aisle, hailing from Bay City, Michigan and weighing in at a combined weight of 505 pounds, Rick & Scott, The Steiner Brothers.
(Crowd pops as Rick & Scott come to the ring.)
Finally, on their way to the ring at a combined weight of 558 pounds, the Rocky Mountain Tag Team Champions. Hailing from Robbinsdale, Minnesota, Larry “The Axe” Hennig and his partner, hailing from Kansas City, Missouri, the Rocky Mountain Heavyweight Champion Harley Race.
(The crowd pops louder for Race & Hennig)
Rocky Mountain Tag Team Title Triple Threat Match Wild Samoans (Afa & Sika w/Skandor Akbar) vs. Rick & Scott Steiner vs. Rocky Mountain Tag Team Champions Rocky Mountain Heavyweight Champion Harley Race & Larry “The Axe” Hennig These three teams battled back and forth the entire match. Race finally caught Rick Steiner with a PILEDRIVER and made the pin.
Apter: A successful title defense for the champs.
GMC: It seems like after several months of being derailed, the Harley Race train is back on the tracks and chugging along.
Apter: Well said, Gary. Thanks you for joining us tonight. We’ll see you again on Thrusday for Rocky Mountain Madness. We end tonight's program with this special message from Promoter Madkanter. For Gary Michael Cappetta, I’m Bill Apter saying we’ll see you at the matches.
(Madkanter is shown sitting at his desk in his plush Lodo Denver office)
Madkanter: I am pleased to announce that live Thursday, April 3rd, RMWA will host our annual McCallister Memorial Invitational Tag Team Tournament. Teams from all over the LWA will be invited to join us at the World Arena in Colorado Springs to celebrate my dear friend who has passed on. Matthew McCallister was a dear friend of mine and a huge wrestling fan. I do this card every year in his memory. I look forward to you fans joining us for a great night of wrestling.

[glow=red,2,300]ROCKY MOUNTAIN MADNESS[/glow] 3-27-08 Denver Coliseum Denver, CO
Dark Match Great Kabuki vs. Brian Lee Lee won by disqualification after Kabuki body slammed him on the concrete floor outside the ring after the ref told Kabuki not to.
(RMM intro)
(Bill Apter and Gary Micheal Cappetta are at the ringside announce position.)
Apter: Good evening and welcome to this edition of Rocky Mountain Madness. I’m Bill Apter, along with Gary Michael Cappetta. We are going directly to the dressing room area where Jason Marcus is standing by.
(Jason Marcus is outside a dressing room door that is labeled H Corporation.)
Marcus: Thanks, Bill. I’m standing outside the dressing room of the H Corporation. There has been a considerable amount of yelling going on behind this door for the passed several minutes. From the sound of things, Gary Hart and Bob Backlund are having a disagreement.
(Suddenly the door swings open and Bob Backlund comes out in a huff.)
Marcus: Mr. Backlund, what’s going on?
Backlund: Bob Backlund lays down for no man. Why do you think old Arnie had to throw in the towel all those years ago. If Tenta wants this belt and his shot at Harley Race then he’ll have to take it from my cold dead body.
Marcus: I’m not sure what to make of that. I’ll try to get a few words from Gary Hart.
(Door slams in Marcus’ face.)
I guess that means it’s back to you at ringside.
Apter: Again welcome to the show and Gary, it seems Gary Hart was trying to make tonight’s main event a little more predetermined than normal.
GMC: I don’t know about that but he did seem to be clearing the way for Tenta to challenge Rocky Mountain Heavyweight Champion Harley Race.
Apter: Incidentally, folks, tonight’s main event will see Rocky Mountain Television Champion Bob Backlund defending his title against Tenta. The winner gets a shot at Rocky Mountain Heavyweight Champion Harley Race at the McCallister Memorial Invitational Tag Team Tournament.
GMC: We’ll have the names of some the teams that have accepted their invitations coming up later tonight.
Apter: Also on the show tonight, Yukon Red challenges for the Rocky Mountain Tag Team Titles. Our first match, tonight, features a man making his return to RMWA. Let’s go to the ring.
King Kong Bundy vs. Steve Keirn (w/Gary Hart) Bundy pinned Keirn for a 5-count after an AVALANCHE.
Apter: A successful return for the walking condominium.
(break)
Pierre & Damien Vachon (w/Gary Hart) vs. Rick & Scott Steiner Rick was disqualified for shoving the ref while the ref tried to restrain Rick.
(break)
(Back from break and Bill Apter is on the set of the Hot Seat.)
Apter: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Hot Seat, Devastation Inc.)
(Skandor Akbar leads Kokina, Kabuki, Afa and Sika onto the set.)
Where’s Killer Khan?
Akbar: That’s a good question. Why don’t you ask Kabuki here?
(Kabuki shows no reaction.)
Apter: Why’s that?
Akbar: After last week’s attack, Khan left the arena and I haven’t seen him since. He’s gone for good and it’s all Kabuki’s fault.
(Still no reaction from Kabuki.)
Apter: What did Kabuki have to do with it?
Akbar: Khan left a note. He said Kabuki abandoned him. He said he cannot trust Kabuki or me any longer.
Apter: Kabuki was attacked from behind.
Akbar: That is no excuse. This man is weak. This man no longer has a place in Devastation Inc.
(Akbar turns and slaps Kabuki. Kabuki retaliates by spitting green mist in Akbar’s face. Kabuki is attacked from behind by the Samoans and Kokina. RMWA officials come from the back to break it up.)
(break)
Apter: Welcome back. It seems RMWA officials have determined the quickest way to the Hot Seat from the back in the last few weeks.
GMC: They certainly have. It looks like the feuding factions of RMWA have dissention in the ranks.
Apter: It seems that way. Speaking of feuds, another one has formed here in RMWA.
(Footage from SNME) Halme set up a table outside the ring and splashed Rock through it with a splash from the apron. After a spinebuster slam inside the ring, Halme set up another table outside the ring and set Rock on top of it. Halme again connected on a splash from the apron sending Rock through a second table.
Rock then set up two tables on top of each other outside the ring. Rock placed Halme on top of the two tables then climbed to the top turnbuckle. Rock splashed Halme through both of the tables.
GMC: This feud continues tonight with two chain matches.
Chain Match Flash vs. Scott Norton Norton was the first to use the chain. He tried to punch Flash with the chain but Flash ducked and hit Norton with the chain instead. Then Flash tied Norton to the buckle with the chain. After Norton was incapacitated Flash proceeded to stomp and punch Norton into semiconsciousness. Flash finished by landing a flying splash to the buckle and untied Norton, who fell to the canvas. Flash made the easy pin.
(break)
Apter: Flash had great success against Norton.
GMC: Indeed he did. I’m curious to see if Rock has the same success against Halme.
Chain Match Blade Runner Rock vs. Tony Halme Halme was the first to use the chain and hammered Rock in the face busting Rock open. After wearing Rock down with several moves, Halme finished his dominance with an ARGENTINE BACKBREAKER for the win.
Apter: For as good as Flash handled himself, his partner did that bad.
GMC: I’m afraid you’re right Bill. An absolute terrible showing by Rock.
(break)
Black Gordman & Great Goliath vs. Wild Samoans (Afa & Sika w/Skandor Akbar) Gordman and Goliath put up a decent fight but the Samoans proved to be too much. Afa pinned Goliath after a SAMOAN DROP.
(break)
Apter: Welcome back. Before our next match we’d like to share with you some of the teams that have accepted an invitation to the McCallister Memorial Invitational Tag Team Tournament.
GMC: It’s definitely the best of the best. We’ll have the LWA World Tag Team Champions the Road Warriors – Hawk and Animal and the LWA National Tag Team Champions Wahoo McDaniel and Chief Jay Strongbow.
Apter: Plus, PCW Tag Team Champions Half-A-Ton – Haystacks Calhoun and Gorilla Monsoon, TAW Tag Team Champions the APA – Faarooq and Bradsaw, PNW Heritage Champions Rip Hawk & Swede Hansen, the T.A.G. Team Champions Frank Gotch & Bruno Sammartino, Stampede Tag Team Champions Verne Gagne & Pat O’Connor and the Interanational Tag Team Champions Bruiser Brody & Stan Hansen.
GMC: That’s just some of the teams that will be joining us at the World Arena in Colorado Springs on April 3rd.
Apter: Folks, I’ve just been handed a memo. The winner of this tournament receives a very nice trophy and a 100 credit prize from Promoter Madkanter. It’s time for our tag team title match.
Rocky Mountain Tag Team Title Match Yukon Red (Yukon Eric & Billy “Red” Lyons) vs. Rocky Mountain Tag Team Champions Rocky Mountain Heavyweight Champion Harley Race & Larry “The Axe” Hennig Race pinned Eric after a PILEDRIVER.
(break)
Apter: After the way we opened tonight’s program, I’ve been waiting for this match all night. Let’s go to Gary Michael Cappetta in the ring to announce our main event.
GMC: Ladies and gentlemen, this is tonight’s main event. This match is for the Rocky Mountain Television Championship. Already in the ring, the challenger. Being accompanied to the ring by his manager, Gary Hart and representing the H Corporation, weighing in at 468 pounds and hailing from Canada, this is Tenta.
(Tenta and Hart continue to discuss strategy.)
Now coming to the ring, the champion. Weighing in at 242 pounds and hailing from Princeton, Minnesota, Bob Backlund.
(Backlund struts to the ring with an incensed look in his eyes and a mixed reaction from the crowd.)
Rocky Mountain Television Title Match Tenta (w/Gary Hart) vs. Rocky Mountain Television Champion Bob Backlund These two men battled in an outstanding back and forth match. Backlund was able to neutralize Tenta’s size advantage for most of the match but eventually the size difference proved too much. Tenta nailed Backlund with an avalanche and as Backlund stumbled out of the corner he was nailed by a Tenta running dropkick. After that it was a TENTA VERTICAL SPLASH and the three count.
Apter: Tenta is the new Rocky Mountain Television Champion and we face Rocky Mountain Heavyweight Champion Harley Race at the McCallister Memorial Invitational Tag Team Tournament.
GMC: I’m not entirely sure what this means for Bob Backlund as he seems to have parted ways with the H Corporation.
Apter: I guess we’ll have to just wait and see. For Gary Michael Cappetta, I’m Bill Apter and we’ll see you at the matches.

[glow=red,2,300]THE JASON MARCUS CHRONICLES #9[/glow]
(Jason Marcus is backstage after Rocky Mountain Madness.)
Marcus: I’m back again with another edition of The Chronicles and we have a new Rocky Mountain Television Champion. It’s Tenta and he will face Rocky Mountain Heavyweight Champion Harley Race coming up at the McCallister Memorial Invitational Tag Team Tournament a week from tonight. Speaking of which, here’s Harley Race. Mr. Race, what are your thoughts on Tenta winning tonight and getting the opportunity to face you at the McCallister Tag Tourney?
Race: Tenta is a big, strong man. He proved how formidable he was at Wrestlefest. I am eager to match up against him.
Marcus: Tenta is one of the few men in RMWA that’s as strong or stronger than you. How does your game plan change?
Race: You’re right, we match up well strengthwise. I am a little quicker and more agile than the big man so I’ll use that to my advantage.
Marcus: Sounds like a good game plan, Mr. Race. Before that match you’ll be making an appearance at LWA Brawl at Hawaii Beach. What will you be doing?
Race: I've been invited to provide commentary. I'd much rather be involved in a match but it will definitely give me a chance to scout the high level of talent the LWA has to offer.
Marcus: We'll all be looking forward to hearing from you at LWA Brawl at Hawaii Beach. Thanks for your time Mr. Race. Speaking of LWA Brawl at Hawaii Beach, Bison Smith faces “Ravishing” Rick Rude. Let’s see if we can get a word with Bison.
(Knocks on Bison Smith’s dressing room door. Smith answers, dressed in blue jeans and a tee shirt.)
Bison, I was wondering if we could ask you about your match at Brawl at Hawaii Beach?
Smith: Ok, shoot.
Marcus: You faced Rick Rude in the first round of the LWA Showcase Invitational earlier this month and were defeated. You stated you may’ve taken your opponent for granted. I’m assuming you won’t let that happen again?
Smith: You’re d**n right I’m not. Rick Rude is a tough opponent. The man has underrated strength, is agile and devious. I don’t plan to look passed him this time.
Marcus: Very good. Thanks for your time Bison and good luck. We’re out of time, we’ll see you next time.

[glow=red,2,300]MATTHEW MCCALLISTER MEMORIAL INVITATIONAL TAG TEAM TOURNAMENT[/glow] 4-3-08 World Arena Colorado Springs, CO
(Intro)
(Bill Apter and Gary Michael Cappetta sit at the ringside announce position.)
Apter: Hello and welcome to the Matthew McCallister Memorial Invitational Tag Team Tournament. I’m Bill Apter, along with Gary Micheal Cappetta, and we have some of the greatest teams in the LWA here tonight.
GMC: That’s no lie Bill. Teams like the Road Warriors, Chief Jay Strongbow & Wahoo McDaniel, Demolition, Stan Hansen & Bruiser Brody and the Midnight Express, just to name a few.
Apter: In addition to the tournament, we have a huge main event.
GMC: That’s right. Rocky Mountain Heavyweight Champion Harley Race will defend his belt against the number one contender and Rocky Mountain Television Champion Tenta. Jason Marcus is in the dressing room with Harley Race, Jason?
(Jason Marcus and Harley Race are in the dressing room interview area.)
Marcus: Thanks, Gary. Mr. Race tonight you face a man who is equal to in strength, how do plan to combat that?
Race: I will probably use more aerial moves than I normally do and keep the tempo of the match up. Try to keep the big man off balance.
Marcus: What about Gary Hart at ringside?
Race: Gary Hart is an intelligent man and if knows what’s good for him, he’ll keep his nose out of the match.
Marcus: Anything else you’d like to add?
Race: Yeah, now I’m not looking passed Tenta or anything but there’s been something that has really been eating at me since Deuces Wild II. Iron Sheik beat me in a match, in the middle of that ring. I’d like nothing more than to prove that victory was a fluke and what better way to do it than inside a steel cage at No Escape.
Marcus: Sounds like a challenge to me, back to you at ringside.
Apter: Thanks, Jason. Race, maybe breaking his focus just a little bit and letting Iron Sheik creep into his psyche.
GMC: Don’t worry, Bill, you know Harley will be ready for tonight.
Apter: I’m sure he will be. Let’s get our tournament underway.
Round 1 Tournament Match Road Warriors (Hawk & Animal) vs. Bushwackers (Luke & Butch) The Wackers certainly wouldn’t let the Roadies overlook them. Luke & Butch came to fight. Butch saved Luke twice after two separate DOOMSDAY DEVICES. Then Animal missed a turnbuckle charge and the Wackers took control. Luke & Butch nailed Animal with a BATTERING RAM but Animal kicked out as Butch kept Hawk from making the save. The Roadies took the advantage back and didn’t give it up, finally pinning Luke after a third DOOMSDAY DEVICE.
(break)
Round 1 Tournament Match Chief Jay Strongbow & Wahoo McDaniel vs. Brainbusters (Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard) This match started out back and forth but McDaniel finally pinned Blanchard after four consecutive TOMAHAWK CHOPS.
(break)
Round 1 Tournament Match Freebirds (Michael Hayes & Buddy Roberts) vs. Interns (w/Ken Ramey) Intern 2 tried to use the ETHER RAG KNOCKOUT but was caught by the ref and disqualified.
(break)
Round 1 Tournament Match Demolition (Ax & Smash) vs. Fire & Ice (Swede Hanson & Rip Hawk) Smash pinned Hanson with a surprise sunset flip.
(break)
(Back from break and Bill Apter is on the set of the Hot Seat.)
Apter: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome to the Hot Seat – Devastation Inc.
(Skandor Akbar leads Kokina, Afa, Sika, Samu and Alofa onto the set.)
Looks like there have been some changes to your ranks, Akbar.
Akbar: Ya think? I cut dead weight and have made my group stronger. Devastation Inc. is now a Samoan Army. In addition to Kokina, Afa and Sika, I now have Afa’s boys, Samu and Alofa. Devastation Inc. is now stronger than ever.
Apter: You are still locked in a bitter feud with Gary Hart and I hear he’s made some roster moves to his H Corporation as well, how do you think you will match up?
Akbar: Nothing can beat my Samoan Army. Not Hart, not Harley Race, not even the LWA Heavyweight Champion.
Apter: Bold words from Skandor Akbar. Let’s go back to ringside with Jason Marcus and GMC:
Marcus: Thanks Bill. Gary, the first half of the first round has been pretty interesting.
GMC: It certainly was especially that sunset flip victory from Smash. I’m really looking forward to the rest of the first round.
Round 1 Tournament Match The Technicians(Verne Gagne & Pat O'Connor) vs. Stan Hansen & Bruiser Brody Hansen & Brody were dominating their opponents with power until Half-A-Ton came down to ringside and distracted Hansen & Brody. Hansen & Brody argued with Half-A-Ton then Haystacks Calhoun nailed Hansen in the knee with his horseshoe while the ref was distracted by Gagne & O’Connor and Monsoon pulled Brody off the apron. Hansen fell into the ring while Gagne & O’Connor beat down Brody. O’Connor locked Hansen in a SPINNING TOEHOLD and Hansen submitted.
(break)
Round 1 Tournament Match Original Heavenly Bodies(Al & Don Greene w/Sam Bass) vs. APA (Farooq & Bradshaw) In a surprisingly, highly competitive match Al pinned a dazed Bradshaw after Bradshaw missed a turnbuckle charge.
(break)
Round 1 Tournament Match Midnight Express (Stan Lane & Bobby Eaton w/Jim Cornette) vs. Frank Gotch & Bruno Sammartino The Midnights started out this match with a clear objective, wear down Bruno. They used their tag team prowess and kept Sammartino off balance and reeling with high impact moves and quick tags. The Midnights even managed to bust Sammartino open. Finally, Sammartino was able to tag out and the complexion of the match changed. Gotch battled back, trading the advantage with both Midnights until Gotch made Lane submit to the GOTCH TOEHOLD.
(break)
Round 1 Tournament Match Yukon Red(Yukon Eric & Billy Lyons) vs. Half-A-Ton(Gorilla Monsoon & Haystacks Calhoun) Monsoon pinned Lyons after an AIRPLANE SPIN AND SLAM.
(break)
Apter: We’ve reached the end of the first round, Gary, any surprises?
GMC: Yeah, the Technicians over Brody & Hansen really shocked me. I wonder what would’ve happened had Half-A-Ton not gotten involved.
Apter: We’re going to take a break from tournament action with our next match.
“Bruiser” Bob Sweetan vs. Mike Enos (w/Wayne Bloom & John Tolos) The quickest match of the night. Sweetan and Enos locked up, Sweetan whipped Enos to the ropes, Enos came off with a sunset flip and the pin.
Apter: Gary, does Enos have a cab waiting outside?
GMC: One might wonder with that quick victory.
(break)
Quarterfinal Tournament Match Road Warriors vs. Strongbow & McDaniel Great back and forth battle with lots of tags. Warriors looked to have the match won with a DOOMSDAY DEVICE on Strongbow but McDaniel made the save. Then Animal missed a flying shoulder tackle and Strongbow was able to get an arm over Animal and the ref began counting but Animal quickly got his shoulder up. Strongbow made a comeback and continued his assault. Strongbow was able to get a quick pin on a stunned Animal after repeated TOMAHAWK CHOPS.
(break)
Quarterfinal Tournament Match Freebirds vs. Demolition Ax pinned Hayes after the DEMOLITION DECAPITATION.
(break)
(Back from break and Bill Apter is once again on the set of the Hot Seat.)
Apter: Please welcome to the Hot Seat, the H Corporation.
(Gary Hart leads Tenta, Butcher, Pierre & Damien Vachon onto the set.)
I heard you had new recruits.
Hart: You heard correctly. Butcher actually sought me out.
Apter: Is that true, Butcher?
Butcher: It is true. I’m here for one reason and one reason only. I don’t trust Gary Hart and I’m here to make sure he’s taking good care of my boys, here.
(Hart glares intensely at Butcher.)
Apter: Very well then. Gary Hart, you seem to be one man short.
Hart: Ha, that’s what you think.
(Suddenly, Great Kabuki stalks onto the set.)
Akbar, you remember this guy? This is the guy you blamed for the departure of Killer Khan. Your loss is now my gain.
(Suddenly, Kabuki grabs the mic.)
Kabuki: Akbar!
(Kabuki makes a throat slitting motion with his thumb, adjusts his adam’s apple and spits green mist into the camera.)
(break)
Apter: History has been made here tonight, Great Kabuki has uttered his first words.
GMC: Bill, he said one word and that’s all he needed to get his point across.
Quarterfinal Tournament Match Technicians vs. Original Heavenly Bodies Very even, back and forth battle. Al was eventually able to beat O’Connor down and make the pin after a power bodyslam.
(break)
Quarterfinal Tournament Match Gotch & Sammartino vs. Half-A-Ton Gotch tried to stay in the ring as much as possible with the beating Sammartino took in the last match but Calhoun and Monsoon threw Gotch around the ring like a rag doll any chance they got. It wasn’t until Gotch changed his strategy was he able to get in some offense. His strategy change proved to be the difference as he first wore down Calhoun with a guillotine choke then put him out with a sleeperhold. After the match, Monsoon revived his partner just in time to be attacked by Stan Hansen and Bruiser Brody. RMWA officials were in the ring quickly and prevented any damage from being done.
(break)
Apter: This issue between Half-A-Ton, Brody and Hansen, sure seems to be heating up in a hurry.
GMC: Bill, it’s already been announced that LWA Tag Team Champions the Road Warriors will be defending their belts against both of those teams in a Three Way Warfare match at No Escape.
Apter: That should be an outstanding match. Up next is a man that should be challenging for the LWA Unified IC Title soon but tonight he’s trying to get back to his winning ways after losing the Rocky Mountain Television Championship.
Bison Smith vs. Larry “The Axe” Hennig The crowd was really into this as both men have a pretty big RMWA fanbase. This was a very evenly matched encounter as both men have similar power-based styles. Hennig missed a turnbuckle charge and Smith quickly capitalized and beat Hennig with a BISONTENIAL. After the match both men shook hands.
(break)
Apter: It’s time to get back to our tournament. Two semifinals are up next.
Semifinal Tournament Match Strongbow & McDaniel vs. Demolition McDaniel pinned Ax after a TOMAHAWK CHOP.
(break)
Semifinal Tournament Match Original Heavenly Bodies vs. Gotch & Sammartino Sammartino still seemed to be worn down slightly by the beating he took earlier in the night but insisted on beginning the match for his team. Sammartino was out of control. Sammartino seemed very agitated toward his opponents and seemed to be wrestling really stiff. The match ended up on the outside and Sammartino gave Don Greene a piledriver on the concrete. The ref seemed to be a little intimidated and decided to count Don out instead of disqualifying Sammartino.
(break)
Wayne Bloom (w/Mike Enos & John Tolos) vs. Alofa (w/Skandor Akbar) Bloom beat Alofa with a TOP ROPE CLOTHESLINE. After the match Tolos grabbed a mic.
Tolos: Thank you fans of RMWA for welcoming us with open arms.
(Fans boo)
It’s great for me and The Crew to be getting a fresh start.
(Just then Canadian Wrecker appears at the top of the wrap. He’s dressed in an animal handlers get up (ala Kim Chee) and a red face less mask with a while maple leaf where his face would be. CW holds a mic up to his mouth and a cheesy, canned voice over is heard.)
CW: Did you really think you could get away from me that easily Johnny-boy? You will pay for your selfish deeds. I will introduce a team, next week, that will rid you and that precious Crew of yours from wrestling forever. BWAHAHAHAHA!
(break)
Apter: That was one of the oddest promos I’ve ever heard. I’m not sure what kind of Kool Aid the Canadian Wrecker’s been drinking but John Tolos and The Crew better beware. It’s time for our tournament final. Let’s go to the ring and Gary Michael Cappetta.
GMC: This next match is the final of the Matthew McCallister Memorial Invitational Tag Team Tournament. Team number one is already in the ring. At a combined weight of 518 pounds, first, hailing from Pawhuska, Oklahoma, Chief Jay Strongbow and his partner, hailing from Midland, Texas, Wahoo McDaniel.
(Crowd cheers as Strongbow & McDaniel acknowledge them.)
Team number two is now on their way to the ring. At a combined weight of 495 pounds, first, hailing from Humboldt, Iowa, Frank Gotch and his partner, hailing from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, “The Living Legend” Bruno Sammartino.
(A very focused Gotch & Sammartino enter the ring.)
Tournament Final Strongbow & McDaniel vs. Gotch & Sammartino Sammartino didn’t seem to come out as aggressive this time and it may’ve cost him. Sammartino was still dominant but was the Mack truck that ran into the solid brick wall of McDaniel’s TOMAHAWK CHOP. The move busted Sammartino open again and McDaniel made the quick pin.
Apter: Unbelieveable. The LWA National Tag Team Champions are the winners of the McCallister Tag Team Tournament.
(break)
GMC: Ladies and gentlemen, our next match is the main event of the evening and is for the Rocky Mountain Heavyweight Title. The challenger, already in the ring and being accompanied by his manager Gary Hart, representing the H Corporation, weighing in at 468 pounds and hailing from British Columbia, Canada, he is the Rocky Mountain Television Champion Tenta.
(Tenta and Hart discuss strategy.)
Next the champion. Coming to the ring, weighing in at 268 pounds and hailing from Kansas City, Missouri, Harley Race.
(Race comes to the ring to a huge pop from the crowd.)
Rocky Mountain Heavyweight Title Match Rocky Mountain Television Champion Tenta (w/Gary Hart) vs. Rocky Mountain Heavyweight Champion Harley Race Race beat Tenta with a PILEDRIVER to retain the title. After the match, the Samoan Army came to the ring but was closely followed by the H Corporation and a wild brawl broke out between the two factions.

4-10-08 Denver Coliseum Denver, CO (RMM intro) (Bill Apter and Gary Michael Cappetta sit at the ringside announce position.) Apter: Good evening and welcome to another edition of Rocky Mountain Madness. I’m Bill Apter, along with Gary Michael Cappetta, and we are coming off a great show last week. GMC: You’re of course talking about the Matthew McCallister Memorial Invitational Tag Team Tournament, won by LWA National Tag Team Champions Wahoo McDaniel & Jay Strongbow. Also, Rocky Mountain Heavyweight Champion Harley Race retained his title against Rocky Mountain Television Champion Tenta. Apter: Speaking of Harley Race, he isn’t here tonight but he did have these taped comments. (Race is shown in the locker room earlier this week.) Race: Tonight, I'm preparing for a match I have this weekend with the Iron Sheik. Now the Iron Sheik defeated me back at Deuces Wild II. I refuse to let that happen again. On to another matter. I've been hearing the rumors circulating throughout the LWA and if those rumors are true, I just want to say that I'll be up to the challenge. Apter: And if the roumors are true, I'm sure Harley Race will definitely be ready. GMC: I just hope there's truth to the rumors. Apter: That makes two of us. But just because our champ isn’t here doesn’t mean we don’t have a great show for you tonight. Let’s head to the ring. Yukon Red (Yukon Eric & Billy “Red” Lyons) vs. Rocky Mountain Cruiserweight Champion Tiger Mask & LLI Middleweight Champion Ultimo DragonDragon pinned Eric after a springboard dropkick. (break) Mike Enos (w/John Tolos) vs. Alofa (w/Skandor Akbar)Enos pinned Alofa with a stunning flying cross body block. (break) Wayne Bloom (w/John Tolos) vs. Great Kabuki (w/Gary Hart)Both men battled to a double count out. (break) (Back from break and Bill Apter is on the set of the Hot Seat.) Apter: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Hot Seat Rocky Mountain Television Champion Tenta. (Tenta and Gary Hart came out onto the set.) Welcome gentlemen. Tenta, last week you just weren’t quite able to best Harley Race. Where do you go from here? Tenta: That’s up to Gary. He’s my manager and he books my matches. Harley Race is a strong competitor and deserves everything he has. I will get another shot at him and he’ll again be in the fight of his life. Hart: Tenta is going to be the most dominant television champion this area has ever seen. Apter: I don’t know. Bison Smith was quite dominant before him. Hart: Smith is old news. We haven’t seen him for weeks. Tenta is now the man of the hour. (Just then Kokina and Skandor Akbar came onto the set. Kokina went nose to nose with Tenta.) Akbar: My big man says Tenta is just a passing fad, a whisper in the wind and Kokina will prove it, given the opportunity. Hart: Any time, anywhere. (Kokina and Akbar turned to leave but suddenly Kokina grabbed salt out of the wooden bucket Akbar was holding and tossed it in Tenta’s eyes. Kokina shoved Hart to the ground, grabbed the bucket and clobbered Tenta in the head, busting him open. Kokina and Akbar then left the set as medical staff rushed to the scene to tend to Tenta.) (break) Apter: Looks like Kokina wants a shot at Tenta and that television title. GMC: No doubt. I think Tenta heard him loud and clear. Apter: Moving on, last week the masked Canadian Wrecker appeared and told John Tolos and the Crew he would debut a new team tonight that would run them out of the RMWA. No we get to see who the Canadian Wrecker has found. B & B Waste Management (King Kong Bundy & Matt Borne w/Canadian Wrecker) vs. Wild Samoans (Afa & Sika w/Skandor Akbar)Sika pinned Borne after a SAMOAN DROP/BIG SPLASH combo. (break) Apter: Before we head to our next match, we have just been told a huge match has been signed for next week’s program. GMC: Tenta will defend his Rocky Mountain Television Title against Kokina in a four weapons of destruction match. Apter: What on Earth is that? GMC: I really don’t but I’m sure we’ll find out by next week. Butcher Vachon (w/Gary Hart) vs. Danny HodgeHodge pinned Vachon with an OKLAHOMA SIDE ROLL. (break) Apter: It’s time for tonight’s main event. Let’s go up to the ring and Gary Michael Cappetta. GMC: Ladies and gentlemen, this next match is our main event. Already in the ring, accompanied by their manager Gary Hart and representing the H Corporation, weighing in at a combined weight of 595 pounds and hailing from Montreal, Quebec, Pierre and Damien Vachon. (Vachons discuss strategy with Hart.) Their opponents, coming down the aisle, hailing from Bay City, Michigan and weighing in at a combined weight of 505 pounds, Rick & Scott, The Steiner Brothers. (Steiners come down the aisle and enter the ring to a huge pop from the crowd.) Rick & Scott Steiner vs. Pierre & Damien Vachon (w/Gary Hart)Pierre was counted out after Scott gave him a FRANKENSTEINER on the concrete floor outside the ring. Apter: Ouch, that had to hurt. GMC: Somebody get that man some aspirin. Apter: We’ve had a great night here and we hope you enjoyed it too. For Gary Michael Cappetta, I’m Bill Apter saying we’ll see you at the matches. [glow=red,2,300]THE JASON MARCUS CHRONICLES #10[/glow]
(Jason Marcus is backstage after Rocky Mountain Madness.)
Marcus: Here we are with another edition of the Jason Marcus Chronicles. Tonight we had some surprises in the ring. One of which saw this man defeat Butcher Vachon.
(Danny Hodge comes into view.)
Hodge: Was it really that big of a surprise. Butcher Vachon is a new face here and I’ve been beating big men my whole life. Plus, I just came off a very successful tour of Japan and was more than ready for him.
Marcus: Ok, you got me Danny. So, what’s next for you here in RMWA.
Hodge: You know, I’m not really sure. I’d love to get a title shot at either Ultimo Dragon or Tiger Mask. Other than that, I’ll just keep doing what I do and see what happens.
Marcus: Sounds like a good plan. Thanks for your time. Moving on, a match for next week was announced and we have no idea what it entails. I’m going to go straight to man in charge to find out.
(Marcus knocks on Promoter Madkanter’s office door. Madkanter invites Marcus in.)
Madkanter, tell us about next week’s four weapons of destruction match.
Madkanter: I’d be happy to Jason. This match will make four weapons available to each wrestler. Both wrestlers will be connected by a chain on their wrist. That’s one weapon. Three of the turnbuckles will have weapons attached to them and one will not. One turnbuckle will be wired with electricity. Not enough to kill but it will give a man quite a jolt. Another turnbuckle with have a Singapore cane attached to it. The last turnbuckle will be lined with barbed wire. A wrestler will lose the match when he cannot answer the referee’s 10 count.
Marcus: The match sounds brutal.
Madkanter: It is but Kokina seems to want to use props to attack people. This will at least start both men out on an even playing field.
Marcus: Thanks for the info. That’s all the time for tonight. See you next week.
