Yeah, I did this on another forum. Figured we could use a thread, too. The card (as of 8/13): - WWE Championship: Sheamus (ch) vs. Randy Orton - World Heavyweight Championship: Kane (ch) vs. Rey Mysterio - The Nexus of Wade Barrett, Justin Gabriel, Davig Otunga, Heath Slater, Michael Tarver, Darren Young, and Skip Sheffield vs. Team RAW of John Cena, Chris Jericho, Edge, R-Truth, John Morrison, Bret "Hitman" Hart, and possibly The Miz (he said he'd let Cena know Sunday) - The Big Show vs. The Straight Edge Society of CM Punk, Luke Gallows, and Joey Mercury (w/Serena) - WWE Divas Championship: Alicia Fox (ch) vs. Melina - WWE Intercontinental Championship: Dolph Ziggler (ch; w/Vickie Guerrero) vs. Kofi Kingston Doesn't look great. I'm guessing they'll round out the card on Friday with Kofi/Ziggler for the IC Title and some sort of stupid Women's title match because YOU CAN'T HAVE A PAY PER VIEW WITHOUT LAYCOOL~

Maybe its me, but Mercury looks weird with his head shaved.
I always like Mathews & York back in ECW, so I am glad to see Mercury was able to get past his "issues" and get back to the show.

That's actually a pretty underwhelming card... Kane Vs. Mysterio will be the same match Mysterio has with every big guy on the roster, most likely.
I don't get Smackdown at all (no Mynetwork in my area) but why does it take the whole SES to fight Big Show? I can see that being good for either of them, unless they've suddenly decided to give Show a big push.
Orton Vs Sheamus has been built well, I just don't like either of them... Orton is ridiculous as a face, imo, and I've already expressed my dislike for Sheamus, fella.
The big Nexus Vs Cena match is the real attraction... that could be either awesome, or terrible. The good thing is I have no idea what's going to happen, which is refreshing.. the bad thing is I don't see what they do next.

As to The Giant (refuse the Big Show name)...I think they are keeoping The Giant strong until Punk is cleared. Punk has been injured during the feud. Nexus CAN NOT lose. My guess is that they win when someone (probably someone unexpected) turns. Since the Cena team keeps changing...I don't have a good idea of who that will be yet.

Yeah, that would be my guess, too, is that someone turns on Cena and joins the Nexus.. but where do they do from there? Obviously, whoever that is feuds with Cena, but what about the Nexus? They don't seem to have a goal.... so what does winning do for them, exactly? Give Barrett a title shot? pick two guys at random to fight the Harts? I simply don't see the way forward... which is not a bad thing... I just hope it's good

I'm hoping for a Bret heel turn. Lead a Cena beatdown and yell in his face "I'm the best there is," etc.

I just hope it's good Graymar booking...not only would I turn someone on Cena's team...I'd also turn at least 1 or more of the Nexus (not at Summerslam...but in the ensuing months)... First choice turn...Justin Gabriel...he just doesn't look like a heel...he has a Steamboat look to him where he probably needs to be a perpetual face... Second choice...Heath Slater...I can believe Slater a bit more as a heel...but see above... Final choice...David Otunga...Otunga is not a face...however...in the final weeks of NXT I, he was riding high...I think there has to be a conflict between him and Barret at some time over the leadership of the group. I'm really surprised it hasn't happened...or been hinted at...yet.

I could see that... they'd have to build it some to be good though.
I wonder if they're gonna have any connection with the guys from this season of NXT... that has some possibilities too.

I think you guys are all over estimating the Es booking..Its booked for a 8 year old...The NEXUS will lose and that will be that...Stone Cold Randy Orton will most likely win the belt fella.

I highly doubt the Nexus are losing on Sunday night. WWE won't trash the entire angle at the first big PPV event.

Bret, are you turning?

Bret, are you turning? I think #7 will be Miz and he'll turn on Team WWE. BUT, I will say, that if I hear "The Game" on Sunday night, I have no doubt he'll fuck over team WWE. It's the hottest angle WWE's done in a long time, no doubt he'd want to stick his finger in its ass and tank the whole thing. I'll also say that the prospect of Bretman wearing a Nexus shirt doesn't sit well with me. Batman shirt or bust imo.

HHH is my big worry about this whole angle... remember the Spirit Squad.
It was very similar if you think about it.. until they decided to completely bury them by losing a 5 v 2 match to HHH and HBK.
I can totally see the last guy being his highness, coming in late, and cleaning house... no more Nexus.

But HHH is the end all and be all of wrestling! He would never ruin an angle b/c it was too hot. You are all blasphemers!
