Watched this last night. Not great...but amusing. It does have one of my favorite current character actors...Nick Swardson... ...and the great thespian...Kevin Nash!

He's gonna have his own show on Comedy Central pretty soon... skit comedy, it seemed like... they were advertising it last night.
(Swardson I mean, not Kevin Nash)

I've always been a fan of his early films and a few later films but Out for Justice is my top favorite of his and then the two Under Siege films follow up...

Weekend viewing... Based on King short story. I said that King could not finish a novel...but he can finish off a short story...the problem is the producer changed the ending. Pretty well written...horribly acted. Another adaption of a never published King novel. King has a significant number of movies that have 3rd rate production values (see above as well). This one is no differnt. It did hold my attention a bit. It did seem that whenever he wrote himself into a corner on this one...he just gave them new powers. Look for a Ferris Bueller nod. Great story...great actors...great production and effects...what else could you want...oh...maybe a little less 'Old English' verse! This may be the most visually stunning movie I have seen. After watching this, I have wondered why more use of motion capture process hasn't been used in more adult fantasy and superhero productions. This film may not appeal to those that were not alive during Nixon's resignation. Really good production with a plethora of of artists. I'm sure they played with some of the facts...but an engrossing story.

The best way to describe this is a low budget...Saw-like...movie. Not very good (though I am not a Saw fan). At jason jaconetti's recomendation...I watched this. It is a decent movie for its genre (low budget, 70's, man alters the ecology movie)...yes, it was entertaining...and fun...and totally 70s!

A good Steven King movie...though still on a small budget. The book was a bit darker and I liked the ending better....however, the movie ending was probably more appropriate for the film.

Really good movie hitting most of the 'cowboy' spots. (jumping onto horses on a runaway coach, barroom brawl, circling the wagons, etc) Errol Flynn is so manicured...he's pretty 'dapper'...yet masculine at the same time. Randolph Scott is his normal stoic best. Interestingly, while Scott opposes Flynn...they are able to pull it off as two faces for most of the movie...more of honorable opponents. Scott does something at the end of the film to really place him more comfortably into the heel role. Humphrey Bogart is the real villain of the film despite having little screen time. While I love Bogart in a lot of roles...but having him riding a horse in a western and using a Mexican accent...is just stupid. And Miriam Hopkins can't sing! Oh...one more thing...good spots for Guinn Williams and Alan Hale (The Skipper's Dad)...in supporting roles!

Rented the new version of the Phantom and Jonah Hex. Likely watch them tomorrow when a friend gets here. The 2010 Phantom is around 2.5 hours long.

I never cared for Waynes True Grit, to be honest never got through it once till now...
Great movie, the new one looks good but I don't see it capturing that bit of humor Wayne brought to life in Rooster and Kim Darby in the original really made it a great film...
