I have done this several times before: 31 Horror Movies in 31 Days to celebrate Halloween. Since life has been kinda a bitch of late, I figured that I would do this again this year to help me have an excuse to enjoy some horror movies. (Instead of feeling guilty that I should be doing "productive" things)
Here is the list for 2010:
1. Horror of Dracula (1958) 2. The Baby's Room (2008)* 3. Night of the Creeps (1986) 4. Brainscan (1994) 5. Prince of Darkness (1987) 6. Mutant (1982) (aka: Forbidden World - Dir Cut)* 7. A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010)* 8. Plague of the Zombies (1966) 9. Mystery of the Wax Museum (1933)* 10. House of Wax (1953) 11. Creep (2004)* 12. Monster (1980) (aka: Humaniods From The Deep - Dir Cut)* 13. The Evil (1978)* 14. 20 Million Miles To Earth (1957) 15. Survival of the Dead (2010)* 16. 30 Days of Night: Dark Days (2010)* 17. Captivity (2007)* 18. The Day The World Ended (1955) 19. They (2002) 20. Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan (1989) 21. Mad Love (1935)* 22. The Last Dinosaur (1977)* 23. 28 Days Later (2002) 24. His Name Was Jason: 30 Years of Friday the 13th (2009) 25. Halloween II (1981) 26. Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1982) 27. The Eyes of Laura Mars (1978)* 28. The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown (1966) 29. Monsters vs. Aliens: The Mutant Pumpkin Invasion From Outer Space (2009) 30. Quarentine (2008) 31. Halloween 5 (1989) 32. From Dust 'Til Dawn (1996) 33. The Walking Dead - Premiere (2010)*
* indicate the NEVER SEEN BEFORE movies (this includes new director's cuts and / or unrated versions different previously unseen)

Night of the Creeps; that was the one about the slugs that got into your body through your mouth and turned you into a zombie right? Love that movie!!

Yep! It has some great lines too.
"The Good news is your dates are here."
"What's the bad news?"
"They're dead."
Bonus Trivia: Night of the Creeps was directed by Fred Dekker, whose other movie is...MONSTER SQUAD! Awesome.

I have already fallen behind pace. I am hoping that this weekend I can catch up. And start watching some new films (or at least new to me). Thus far, only The Baby's Room is a "new" film, as I have seen Prince of Darkness and Night of the Creeps a "few" times before. Brainscan only once back in the 90's, but I still had seen it before. And, as I said in the other thread, Horror of Dracula is my favorite Dracula movie ever.

I don't watch 31 days of Halloween type movies, but I do watch many over the whole month and so far I've watched...
Horror of Dracula (1958) Brides Of Dracula, The (1960) Dracula, Prince of Darkness (1966) Dracula Has Risen From the Grave (1969) Dr. Jekyll And Mr. Hyde (1932)
This is really my first Halloween that I really planned to watch a whole month of films for Halloween and that is cool...

I have watched in past years a few films but this is the first year I planned to watch, tonight on TCM I have the dvr set for The Plague of the Zombies and The Gorgon which sound like cool films...

The Devil's Bride is the other title for The Devil Rides Out. I've seen it before and it is a good Hammer film.

The Plague of Zombies and the Devils Bride are really two excellent Hammer Films, I enjoyed both but it's cool seeing Christopher Lee as the hero in Devils Bride...

Mystery of the Wax Museum (1933) showed it's age, as it tried to put in "witty" banter and (what I assume) was some "zingy" one-liners. I am doing a bust of the main character, so I needed to watch it. As for House of Wax (1953), this is classic Price! He was such an amazing talent and he just demands respect on the screen.
(Trivia Note: In House of Wax, Igor was played by Charles Bronson.)

The Shining Directed by Stanley Kubrick. With Jack Nicholson, Shelley Duvall, Danny Lloyd, Scatman Crothers.
I watched this the other day on AMC, I like this version then the mini-series that Stephen King was part of and in this film Jack is so good in this film where you see him going nuts, great film...

Tonight on TCM we have more Hammer Films in...
8:00 PM Mummy, The (1959) 9:45 PM Curse of the Mummy's Tomb, The (1964) 11:15 PM Mummy's Shroud, The (1967) 1:00 AM Blood From the Mummy's Tomb (1971)
I don't think I've ever seen any of the Hammer Mummy films, shoudl be fun to see how they are compared to the Universal Films...
