Bret Hart has been added to the site. This one was greatly improved by the help and suggestions of Canadian Pitbull and Jerod, as well as the advice of Switch-Truth. I like the results a lot, and hope others do as well.

Thanks to the help and expertise of pikemojo and Jerod (and pikemojo's website full of newspaper articles from the pre-TV era) cards of Dr. BF Roller and Stanislaus Zbyszko have been added to the website. Also up but not linked yet, a completely fictionalized card for "Spaceman" Frank Hickey. I like this drawing I did about six or seven years ago for someone else and wanted to do something with it, so I figured I'd make a card. There is NOTHING online about how this guy wrestled except for the odd mention by people who saw him that he was "one of the worst [they] ever saw" and "very cartoonish" (one recounted him making "beep" and "boop" noises as he wrestled as Spaceman). I picked moves appropriate to the era and ones he would have likely used during his days as "The Spaceman". Anyway, if anyone wants a colorful undercard talent and doesn't mind potential historical inaccuracy: www.angelfire.com/wrestling3/legendarystars/spaceman.pdf

Just a quick note to say thanks again to MT for all his tireless efforts in bringing a fantastic series of high-quality bootlegs to life!! From rounding out the undercard to the whacky fun of the mid-90's WWF. From an amazingly well made and fleshed out selection of Vintage guys to an excellent influx of talent from south of the border. Legendary Stars has a little something for everyone. Just wanted to let everyone know, having had the honour of working on a couple of cards with MT, that these boots are quite possible the best out there, as he gives every wrestler time, research and attention to detail. If you haven't checked them out yet, you should!! And even if you aren't a fan of bootlegs in general? Try 1 or 2 of MT's Legendary Stars and you just might change your mind!! In case anyone has missed the Sig in MTY's posts, you can get there here: www.angelfire.com/wrestling3/legendarystars/index.htmlNow get over there!! lol

He's one of the few guys (no offense intended to anyone, just calling it like I see it) who puts out quality stuff consistently. Knapik is another but he seems to have just stopped this year.

Thanks. I've been making a real effort to recruit help and advice of the best guys out there for the wrestlers I'm not as familiar with; or those like Bret that are a really big deal and I want to make sure I get represented to the satisfaction of most.
Bulldog Don Kent has been added to the site. This one has stats by Jerod.

Undertaker circa 1992 has been added to the site. It's an update of the old card, with revised drawing and stats. This is Undertaker as the "unstoppable monster" before he started expanding his repertoire, so you'll notice the throat chop appears twice. Watch any match from that era and you'll know why.

IN the "strange but true" department:
All but one of the about eight Abe Knuckleball Schwartz matches that were formerly on youtube are no longer there. Eight matches pretty much encompassing the bulk of his televised career and then some, because two of those matches were house shows where someone had sneaked in a video camera (one against Aldo Montoya and one other I can't recall). Pretty much all of his promos are still there, but just the one match from Superstars.
It's funny that I can find pretty much anything else under the sun, but Abe Schwartz matches have been removed.
HOWEVER, I already had the matches scouted quite well, his offense indexed move by move with the number of times a particular move was used written beside said move, and the Abe Knuckleball Schwartz card I was doing will go on as planned. I was just looking back for a ring introduction so I could get the weight accurate as I type up the card. Fortunately that one match survived so I got what I needed.
Look for that card and one other face painted wrestler coming up Wednesday.

I just added Abe "Knuckleball" Schwartz and Sting circa 1992 to the site. Abe is 100-percent Lombardi in the moveset and stats, but I took liberties with the drawing to make him look a little cooler. But just a little. There was a lot of untapped "Baseball Furies" potential with that gimmick. Sting is a WCW tribute card, since he was the undisputed face of WCW in the 90s. Here's the WCW logo free version for those who care: www.angelfire.com/wrestling3/legendarystars/sting1.pdf

Thanks. I just added one that may go under-appreciated much like the career of the man himself. Barry Horowitz was as technically solid as you could ask for in a wrestler, but didn't have the right look and character to be a superstar. Still, he did great for himself by carving out a niche as a talented undercard guy and had a job with a major company most of his career. Plus,l I'll bet he has way more money in the bank than Flair does now since his road frugality is legendary. More important from my own standpoint, this drawing replaces the really awful one I did about eight years ago that is about the only drawing of him to be found out there. That really needed to be corrected. www.angelfire.com/wrestling3/legendarystars/barryh.pdf

Sweet! I can upgrade mine from your older one. Good. The last drawing was for Cynthia Miller's Vintage Mayhem set so I'd never gotten a chance to do card stats for Barry until now. I was pretty young when he was in his prime so going back and watching as many of his competitive matches as possible I fully realized just how underrated he was. I still had to make the card weak to reflect his undercard status of course (I don't usually calculate "Rahl Ratings" but I checked and his card rates a -2), but it was cool to watch the matches were he got a chance to show what he could do.

Thanks again Mark for taking the time to do these cards It's very much apprecriated . Did you ever consider doing a a Jerry the king Lawler card? I think your art work would go great with some of the existing bootlegs

There are a lot of cards for superstar wrestlers like Lawler that are top notch as-is. (Apparently former) LWF fan Travis did superstar level, prime Jerry Lawler card that was real good. Lawler himself did a great self-portrait in black and white line art style that would look great as a legends card front. Piece those together and you'd have the definitive Lawler card, in my opinion.
I believe there are some great cards of a lot of the superstars of wrestling out there already. I prefer to concentrate on ones that aren't as well represented, ones that no one ever thought of (or bothered to) make cards for before, or just wrestlers or gimmicks I like.
