Turco was one of those colorful undercard characters of the 70s. There are a few of his matches on youtube right now. I think guys like Turco and Ox Baker were the basis for every stereotypical wrestler character to come out of Hollywood in movies and TV since 1975. After watching some of this old ICW stuff I found and the matches on youtube I had to do a card of him.

I just added NWA champion, judo legend, and former MMA competitor Naoya Ogawa to the website. Card stats (AKA all the heavy lifting) by Ricky Schmidt.

I have now added ultra "legendary" Zeus, most notable for his reality bending performance in No Holds Barred that resulted in the character "coming to life" for a match at SummerSlam. And who could forget his bizarre encounter in Puerto Rico with Abdullah The Butcher? Even better, how about when some genius in WCW decided to bring him in as "Z Gangsta" to briefly reprise his most un-epic feud with Hogan several years later? Well you can relive those "classic" moments with this card, which gently straddles the fence between representing the character from NHB and the real life man who attempted to wrestle IRL with some very moderate success (in that he was always booked into high profile situations anyway). Some of you may have realized by now that not all of the wrestlers I put up on the "Legendary Stars" website would be considered "legendary" by most people's definition of the word. That's because I tend to like to A) fill in the gaps and do cards for wrestlers that a hundred people haven't already done, and B) have fun. Gimmicks and characters are fun to draw and they add the flavor a lot of people seem to think the current mainstream wrestling scene may be missing. www.angelfire.com/wrestling3/legendarystars (note: the "no deathjump" rule is in effect for this card, as it seemed silly to imagine Zeus getting anywhere near the top rope--or really leaving his feet at all for that matter)

Upon request, the final member of the WWF trio of awesome known as The Machines has been added to the site. Book them as they should have been had the gimmick not run its course and have Big Machine and Super Machine challenge for the WWF tag team championship while Giant Machine interferes liberally from ringside. I still lament the fact that LJN made an action figure of Ted Arcidi and not of the Machines..... www.angelfire.com/wrestling3/legendarystars/

I did some minor fixes on the British Bulldog and Diesel cards on site. Nothing major. Cleaned up a few move names on Bulldog, and switched out moves on level 1 offense and level 3 offense on Diesel.
On Saturday morning I'll be adding Bob "Spark Plug" Holly and his dreaded "Pit Stop Plunge" finisher (originally known as the "Overhead Cam"). I remember a few weeks after they debuted that move name when Stan Lane on commentary had to break the bad news that there is no overhead cam on a stock car, thus ruining the name of that move and they had to change it to the "Pit Stop Plunge".Come to think of it, from Thurman "Sparky" Plugg right on down to changing the finisher name, Bob sure had a rough start in the WWF.
Next up, a "fondly remembered" character from the raging 80s.

Okay, 80s character got sidetracked because I decided to do a card for Max Moon. That one's been added to the site.
Also noticed an error I made on the Kerry Von Erich card I put did over a year ago. Move 6 on level 1 offense was a carryover from another card. It's been corrected to reflect the way I wanted the card to actually look.

Miss Linda has been added to the site. Because I saw the need to do so.

Per a request I received, Junkyard Dog (prime) added to the site. The "city of origin" dilemma arose. In Mid South they billed him as "from Tennessee". Then sometimes he was from Louisiana. Of course he's most famous nationally as being from Charlotte, NC. So I left it blank. www.angelfire.com/wrestling3/legendarystars

I made a slight alteration to JYD: I looked at Travis's JYD card and realized the level 1 defense was identical! I swear I didn't do that intentionally. The offense is pretty different, though. Maybe I saw it once and it stuck in my head, or it's a big coincidence.
I also added a "special edition" Dr Wagner Jr with new art and slightly altered offense.

Dude Love, the legendary third face of Foley has been added to the site.
After posting 78 different cards this MAY be one of the last cards I'm able to add to that site because I'm pretty much out of disc space now. Unless I pay for more space or delete some of the old cards I don't think I'm going to get more two more cards on there. The next step will probably be replacing drawings I don't like and adjusting stats on cards that are already done.
Check out the Dude at the link below
