I'm sure Dragon Gate and GAORA calling the shots more than it was Gabe running in there with his pants down.

I downloaded the free Dusty comp off IVP. I might have been delirious at the time but I really dug his match with Abby. It was a great brawl and shit got real when Dusty made it's comeback. Best Abby match I've ever seen.
Also this was in 1982 meaning Abby was a spry 41 years old.

Abby/Sheik vs. The Funks is the best Abby match I've seen.

Showdown At Shea 1980 from WWE 24/7 with Mick Foley and Micheal Cole
Angel Marvilla beat Jose Estrada with a diving head butt - No recollecton of Marvilla but it was an ok match
Domenic Denucci beat Baron Mikel Scicluna - Comedy match between two over the hill wrestlers.
WWF Junior Heavyweight Title Match Tatsumi Fujinami beat Chavo Guerrero retaining the title - decent match
World Heavyweight Martial Arts Title Match Antonio Inoki beat Larry Sharpe with an enzuiri kick to retain the title. I forgot all about this title I think Inoki might have been the only one to ever hold it not sure. Larry Sharpe seemed to be more of a technical wrestler than I remember.
WWF World Tag Team Championship Match 2/3 falls Bob Backlund and Pedro Morales beatThe Wild Samoans W/ Lou Albano - I think the story was that Backlund was stripped of the title because of a rule that someone couldn't hold more than one title at a time. I remember The Samoans regaining the titles the next month in a match against Tony Garea and ?
Pat Patterson beat Tor Kamata by dq after Kamata threw salt at Patterson and hit the ref instead.
Fabulous Moolah and Beverly Slade beat Peggy Lee and Candi Malloy
Inercontinental Title Match Tony Atlas beat Ken Patera by count out, Patera retained the title. - Best match so far
Ivan Putski beat Johnny Rodz
The Hangman ( no recollection of him either) beat Rene Goulet with a throat drop across the ropes
Andre The Giant beat Hulk Hogan W/ Freddie Blassie - As Mick Foley points out about a dozen times this is the first time Hogan bodyslammed Andre
Cage Match Bruno Sammartino beat Larry Zybysko - best match of the show and my personal favorite because I was at the show earlier in the year when Zybsykso finally got his match aganst his mentor Bruno and attacked him with a chair. I've never seen so much legitimate hate for a wrestler since then.
This is the first time I've seen the entire show and can understand why. The majority of the show is just a bunch of pointless matches. The three or four worth seeing are already on you tube. I'm no sure why but the Greg Gagne vs Rick Mcgraw match was cut out. The match went almost as long as the main event and is probably a lot better than some of the others. The worst part of this was having to listen to Mick Foley's dumb comments for almost three hours.

Those late 70s and early 80s WWWF/WWF shows can be pretty brutal to sit through sometimes. I hate Ivan Putski, Pedro Morales and Mikel Scicluna. I'm actually surprised that the Baron wasn't facing S.D. Jones. I swear to go they squared off on every single fucking MSG card from 1977 till about 1981.

Garea seemed to be that guy they put on after the main event back in the curfew days. You'd have the big match and then he'd always pop up in those who gives a shit matches to fill out the show. I did like his tag team with Rick Martel.

Not quite wrestling but I got a bunch of boxing off of a tape trading forum and watched several of the fights I got.
Ali-Frazier III: This is the greatest goddamn fight ever, even with the corner stoppage factored in. I'd never seen this fight in full until yesterday and I'm pretty ashamed to say that.
Foreman-Ali: I had seen this fight in full previously and it's kind of a fun fight because you see how smart Ali could fight, or maybe it was how stupid Foreman fought? Either way it's an entertaining bout.
LewIS-TysON: I expected much more from this fight. The constant clinching bored me and is a huge problem with modern boxing. The fight wasn't bad or anything but I didn't exactly gain a ton of respect for Lewis as a fighter because of this.
I've got Ali-Frazier I in my DVD player. It's the "Fight of the Century" but I don't see it being better than the Thrilla in Manila.

WWF Philadelphia Spectrum May 22, 1982
Pretty Boy Larry Sharpe beat Charlie Fulton with a piledriver
Baron Mikel Scicluna beat Pete Sanchez with a foreign object - previous match was much better
Swede Hanson beat Laurent Soucie by submission with an over the knee backbreaker. - Always enjoyed watching Swede Hanson seems like a good worker even in his twilight years. I would like to see some of his earlier stuff.
Mr Saito def Johnny Rodz - decent fast paced match
Intercontinental Title Match Jimmy Snuka def Pedro Morales by DQ - In this match Morales tries to throw off Dick Worehle fro grabbing his arm and ends up throwing Worehle out of the ring. A few minutes later Worehle is knocked out from Snuka head butt. He's revived by Gary Michael Cappetta and the match continues until Snuka double head butts Morales and Worehle. The match ends with Morales being disqualified an retains the title. Entertaining match but a little goofy
Black Jack Mulligan beat Steve Travis with a back elbow - Travis was one half of the Carolina Connection with Rick Mcgraw. I never understood why the WWF never put the tag team belts on them. It would have been a welcome change from the 101 Tony Garea and Domenic Denucci combinations.
WWF Title Match Cowboy Bob Orton beat Bob Backlund by count out - Great match. Backlund defeated Orton the following month at the spectrum in lumberjack match for the WWF title
Cage Match Tony Atlas beat Jesse Ventura by going over the top of the cage. - eventhough I was at this show this is the only match I can really remember
Rick Mcgraw beat Mr Fuji by DQ
Ivan Putski pinned Adrian Adonis by sitting on his chest

Classic St.Louis Wrestling Volume 10
Sam Muchnick Retirement Show January 1st 1982 from the Checkerdome
1. Highlights of the last few NWA world title changes.
Matches (all incomplete
Pat O Conner beat Bob Sweetan with a sleeper hold. O Conner's retirement match
Crusher Blackwell beat Ox Baker and Butch Reed in a handicap match
Dewey Robertson beat Baron Von Raschke with a cross body block David Von Erich and Rufus Jones beat Harley Race and Greg Valentine
Sam Muchnick retirement ceremony A steady parade of local businessman , politicians ,and promoters present Sam with plagues and say farewell. This takes up the majority of the 2 hour DVD time and really isn 't necessary.
Dick The Bruiser beat Ken Patera for the Missouri title .
Ric Flair defends NWA title against Dusty Rhodes
More Sam Muchnick retirement ceremonies this time backstage with his family.
I honestly felt ripped off after watching this. There are 12 more volumes in this series and I wouldn't waste my money on another one. I don't think anyone else should either.

Yeah, I got the volume with Brody vs. Flair years ago and never bought another. The version of Brody vs. Flair wasn't even complete! There was about 6 or so minutes missing from the Japanese broadcast version.

You can get that Flair/Brody match on one of the All Japan Classics volumes if I remember correctly.
