You would be correct. Even did the Dynamite headbutt in the match.

I've never, ever liked either or them.. to be honest, I feel their style ruined RoH (or rather, the fact that the people in charge favored that style ruined RoH). I can't help but think Richards is nothing but a smaller, less charsimatic version (if that's possible) of Benoit... and that's a bad thing. Edwards I don't have much of an opinion about, other than he's bland... I do happily approve of more tag teams though

Richards has always been kind of a Benoit cover band act. Not like there aren't 50 billion guys on the indies are doing that. His push in RoH was when I started losing interest. I always felt that he was a dude cos-playing at wrestling more than anything else. In fairness, I used to think that about Matt Sydal and the WWE trained that out of him really quickly.
Edwards has always seemed to show a little more personality when outside of RoH. Like I said, he has competent mid-carder in the WWE written all over him. I could totally see him in that Kofi Kingston type of role where he's over and gets about an annual title reign of some sort. He's really capable and solid in the ring when he isn't wrestling Davey.

I've always been a fan of these two (they were one of the big reasons I watched ROH)and I actually liked the Bulldogs comparison. Really hope they do well and help to make the tag team division flourish in the WWE again much like it did back in the WWF during the 80's.

I've never, ever liked either or them.. to be honest, I feel their style ruined RoH (or rather, the fact that the people in charge favored that style ruined RoH). Stylistically, they really weren't doing anything that guys in the Nigel/Danielson era weren't doing. The only difference is that Nigel/Danielson knew when enough was enough because they could fill time. Kevin Steen is a far bigger culprit of what went wrong with ROH than either of those guys. I can't help but think Richards is nothing but a smaller, less charsimatic version (if that's possible) of Benoit... and that's a bad thing. Let's take a look at what 'charisma' means, shall we? Definition of charisma (n) cha·ris·ma [ kə rízmə ] personal magnetism: the ability to inspire enthusiasm, interest, or affection in others by means of personal charm or influence Yeah, Davey and Benoit TOTALLY doesn't (or didn't in the latter case) have charisma AT ALL. People don't (or didn't) react to them AT ALL. Richards has always been kind of a Benoit cover band act. Not like there aren't 50 billion guys on the indies are doing that. He...really isn't anything like Benoit. He's more what happens when you smash together Dynamite Kid and KENTA. His push in RoH was when I started losing interest. Except you've said Morishima's title loss was when you started losing interest. I always felt that he was a dude cos-playing at wrestling more than anything else. I could say so much about this remark and start a total firefight, but I'm going to leave it with that I think I fractured my skull face palming at this comment. In fairness, I used to think that about Matt Sydal and the WWE trained that out of him really quickly. They didn't. He works exactly the same as he did on the indies. Edwards has always seemed to show a little more personality when outside of RoH. So has Davey. Like I said, he has competent mid-carder in the WWE written all over him. That's selling him a bit short. He could fit into that Bryan role if he was given room to run, same thing with Davey. I could totally see him in that Kofi Kingston type of role where he's over and gets about an annual title reign of some sort. See above. He's really capable and solid in the ring when he isn't wrestling Davey. Out of their four matches, I only recall one that I thought was stupid and went too far. The other three were perfectly fine, and in the case of the first World Title match they had, one of the best ROH Title matches ever.

You could see the writing on the wall then. It would be a bullet point under the Morishima reign.

I find Davey horribly boring... maybe it's just me. Edwards I've not really heard much of on the mike (Davey usually does the talking, when I've seen them), so I'd reserve judgement... but they're pretty bland in both look, attitude, and style.. being good doesn't really help you in WWE much.
I could see them working as the American verison of the Bulldogs though, but they'll have to really sell that, because the current WWE market (8-15 year olds) aren't going to get that.

Davey is a pretty divisive worker.
