So they want to be 'PG' but tonight they had Roman Reigns drug Stephanie McMahon, her throw up all over Vickie Guerrero and Vickie puts him in the battle Royal that he will likely now win to get into the ladder match. Now, I'm one of the biggest Reigns supporters out there and him winning the title would be awesome but this is just some shady booking. Hey kids, "Don't bully your friends but it's OK to drug your boss."
I have no problem with the angle if they didn't put such hypocritical shit out there. If you want attitude era just go attitude era.

He looks like Starman and Mister Sinister had some sort of weird ass baby and I can't stop laughing at it.

I think Stardust is awesome. Cody has always been a little odd, now he can really get creative. And to a casual fan the Cody/Goldust team looks weird, one normal plain looking guy and one off the wall guy. Now they look and act like an actual tag team.
Cody has come up with all of his own cool gimmicks (the mustache, the mask, and now this.) I read he also came up with the Bad News Barrett gimmick for Wade. Sounds like Cody has a future in creative.

Cody's comic book villain face makes that work perfectly. He's a guy who has developed into one of the most well rounded and versatile wrestlers on the roster. He can do so many different things convincingly and has a well established history of "snapping" in interesting ways, which gives his character an odd consistency that most others who have been around for several years don't have any more. Of course, his consistent character is that he's completely inconsistent, which makes it easier. Look at this WWE.com photo set. The guy works the classic DC comic villain poses perfectly. He looks like someone Batman would have fought in the 60s. www.wwe.com/shows/raw/2014-06-16/stardust-is-ready-for-his-closeup-photos

Wow, it's crazy how much he looks like Jim Carey.. I never would have made that association. I'm all for more themed tag teams, and Cody seems to be entertaining at whatever he does, so I'm onboard

I didn't want to start a new thread, and this topic hits it well enough.
Reading the results from RAW last night and I see they started with the Cena and Brock SummerSlam hype and a match with the WWE world champ versus Cesaro. Then they ENDED with Stephanie McMahon and Brie Bella confrontation in the main event/overrun spot. You know, if they'd actually book a guy who could appear on the show himself in a main event at one of the biggest PPVs they do all year it could have been a Cena/Brock pull apart at the end instead. I suppose they figure the real money match is the one with a McMahon. Maybe Steph found a gray hair and needs the ego boost of putting herself in the "am I still pretty" spot against Brie.
Seems like it might have been an okay show, but they do come off as pretty tone deaf once again in important aspects of the show and some of the odd decisions.

It wasn't the greatest and I agree they are not pushing the main event leading into a PPV very well. Most don't want to see Cena/Lesnar again..so make people want to see it. I agree with the Bella/Stephanie thing just a bunch of crap. A lot of yapping and going nowhere with the product. NXT is a better show all around.

Soon as I figured out that Stephanie vs. Bella twin was going on last I turned that shit off. Unbelievable the egos HHH and his deformed chested wife have. Had I been to that show live, I can't even imagine how disappointed I would be.

I felt that the Cesaro/Cena match should have been last and Cesaro should have went over him due to Brock's music being played to distract Cena and then upon the pin Lesnar rushes the ring and a brawl breaks out. Cena vs. Lesnar has to be pushed going into the SummerSlam because no one cares. If Cena beats Lesnar at SS then it will be the last time I tune in at all for quite sometime. I just don't want to see tons of Hunter and Stephanie fighting with a Bella when the focus should be on the championship match and making people WANT to spend money on it if they don't have WWE Network. Maybe this is why CM Punk got out when he did. He saw what was coming...

Holy crap. Could they be any more backwards about how to draw people to SummerSlam OR WWE Network? The big main event slot occupied by the contract signing for the SummerSlam main event between Brie and Stephanie, and they even did a (nice) video package for that midcard title match with Cena and that Brock guy. Also, Cesaro is apparently not worthy of a spot higher than mid-show filler but watch out for that hot prospect Heath Slater! He's a one man band and all that.
Having the COO of the company come out playing his bad guy TV character and mocking the incessant plugs of the WWE Network just doesn't seem like strong marketing to me. That's all I've got to say about that.
On the issue of things being backwards, Chris Jericho BEAT Bray Wyatt on the last PPV, overcoming the interference of Rowan and Harper. Now they build it to where Rowan and Harper aren't allowed at ringside for the rematch. What's the damn point if Jericho already proved he can beat Wyatt clean even with them there? Then there's Bo Dallas (the "bad guy") beating R-Truth(the "good guy"?) and then Truth attacks him from behind after the bell. Explain what this does exactly.

The Brock vs. Cena video packages of them training is fucking bad ass. But once again, once I figured out what was going on last, I shut it off and was in bed reading by 10pm.
The constant begging for Network subscribers is downright pathetic. Reminded me of bums asking for change in Detroit.
