There's your main event and I've got a real bad feeling about that one.

I think they would. 16 German suplexes and then LOL 16 WORLD TITLES

My gut instinct is that this means Vince got cold feet about having a part time champion.

Lesnar/Cena at Night of Champions - Where Monster Champ jobs out because WWE won't just give him a briefcase of cash to show up like once a month for the next eight months. I understand he hates the travel, etc but how rough would it be to: demolish Orton, month off, demolish Bryan, month off, demolish Batista, month off, demolish Cena again, month off, job to Reigns, go away.
I think the problem is they don't have anything for Cena to do. If they were doing this beatdown he should be off TV for 3 months before coming back.

See, I don't think it's that. There are plenty options for Cena. They could have him work with Rusev or Miz or Rollins or Dallas and elevate them. The could turn Sheamus or Big Show or Ziggler and have them work together. Lots of options. It may have more to do with them not having anyone else lined up as a viable challenger for Lesnar. But then why have the match immediately? Could it be a reaction to the minuscule movement of the stock price in the days after SummerSlam? Could it be that they have come to terms with Rock for a match against Lesnar at WM31, and as a result want to take the title off Lesnar immediately and develop it as a separate program to build towards Cena/Reigns or something like that? It just feels like it makes very little sense.

Cena just worked with Ziggler in late 2012 and it did absolutely nothing for him.

Well they did that stupid program with Ziggler and Orton afterwards where Ziggler wasn't allowed to get the better of him at all.

I honestly don't remember anything with Ziggler and Orton outside of a couple of RAW matches but I don't remember if that was when Ziggler had the briefcase or not.

It was but was more of a Smackdown feud. Orton won every match and got the better of Ziggler in every exchange.

John Cena has just unveiled his new red clothing line of Cena merchandise so of course Cena is going to win. I am with Havoc though. Nothing wrong with Lesnar showing up just before a PPV to crush his opponents until Wrestlemania until someone takes him down. I would love to see the champion off tv and not in your face all the time. Make the focus on the chase for the belt and establishing some new players until someone steps up that they want to create a new defining Wrestlemania moment.

The new red Cena stuff came out before SummerSlam, so if that clothing line had any sway on if he won or not he would have beat Brock on Sunday.

I can see them telling two stories at NoC that would make sense. Option one: Cena is pulling a rope-a-dope. Cena cashed in his rematch immediately because he's banking on the fact that Lesnar hasn't had big matches/fights in consecutive months in over ten years, while Cena has been having them night after night. At the event Cena turtles and lets Brock gas himself pounding on him, then takes advantage of an exhausted Brock. Then when Brock comes back, they have a narrative that Cena outsmarted him last time, but he won't be fooled again.
The other idea I had was Cena taking a page out of Brock's playbook and doing to Lesnar what Lesnar did to Big Show at Royal Rumble. Cena doesn't even try to win the match, he just goes out there and lays Brock out, breaking multiple chairs on his back and leaving him laid out and victimized (and easy pickings for Mr Money in the Bank). This option 1) would be totally unexpected 2) would give them an excuse to take both Brock and Cena off TV for a while (Brock injured and Cena suspended) 3) sets the stage for a big money REAL rematch down the road and 4) creates a beautifully kharmic bookend to Brock's 2014 narrative.
