Carolina Championship Wrestling Kimble Arena - Conway, SC 7/29/10 - TV Taping for CCW's Thursday Night Titans Dark MatchPhill Shatter vs. Perry Wright (both local talent) - Phill looked good again here in the dark match, as the fans were behind him from the start. Phill used his PTSD to take the win at 5:19. TV TapingBout #1: Tag Team Championship Tournament Semi-Finals Raven & Rhino vs. The Ortons - The Ortons make their CCW debut, as they took the spot of the recently traded New Age Outlaws. The Ortons never need a reason to bring their A-game, because you know they will always be ready for anything. A solid match, as Jr did most of the damage early on. Rhino was nearly pinned after the Superplex, but Raven has no issue kicking Jr in the face to make the save. Sr got in the ring and worked over Rhino. Raven again interjects himself and causes all 4 men to get into a brawl. Raven DDT's Jr on the floor, which left the Ace laid out. Rhino was able to score with a spinebuster slam and tagged in Raven, who locked on a cobra clutch at 32:49 to advance. Bout #2: Tag Team Championship Tournament Semi-Finals The Brainbusters vs. The Fantastics - A short match, as both teams seem to know all the tricks the others wanted to use. Bobby and Tully were battling on the floor and Fulton's head got his head slammed into the post. Tully dragged Bobby into the ring and tags Arn. Anderson nailed his Gourdbuster at 7:11 to take the win. Bout #3: Virgil vs. Chris Candido (w/ Sunny) - Chris and Sunny make the debut tonight, as they go head-to-head with the former nWo member. Chris looked solid, as he never let Virgil get in any offense. Chris used his Blonde Bombshell at 6:45. Bout #4: Dan Severn vs. Steve Keirn - The former UFC star bent Keirn into a pretzel the entire match, which for Keirn's sake was short. Severn won with his Wakigatame at 5:56. Bout #5: Austin Idol vs. Justin Credible - A good match for Idol, coming off his controversial title loss, as he never let Justin get his footing. Idol used a running elbow at 9:47 to take the win and then grabbed the house mic. -Idol started by complaining about how his lose to Nigel was not fair. That he never should have had to wrestle him in the first place or had to defend the title. He then said that he was mad that the CCW would not put him in the match with Nigel and Sid tonight, but that Muraco and One Man Gang "know their role" in that match. He finished up by questioning whether Nigel should trust Sid. Bout #6: Terry Taylor vs. The Sandman - The former ECW champion beat down Taylor from the bell and nailed his Hardcore DDT to win at 4:25. Co-Main EventBout #7: Nigel McGuinness & Sid Vicious vs. Don Muraco & One Man Gang (w/ Austin Idol) - A great back and forth match, as all 4 men showed what they bring to the table here. Great action, as Sid's knee looked good after last week's attack. Nigel ducked a clothesline by Muraco and nailed him with his Jawbreaker Lariat. As Nigel went for the pin, Idol slid in the ring and nailed Nigel with a chair. One Man Gang helped Muraco and Idol work over Nigel, as Sid was "slow" to get in to make the save. He was now "limping" with his knee, but eventually nailed Gang with a huge boot and then a clothesline on Muraco. Idol, slid out of the ring before Sid can get his hands on him, but Nigel is left hurting. Sid pulls Nigel to his feet and shove the CCW Championship into his chest. Idol, Gang, and Muraco leave the ring knowing that they accomplished at least some of their goals. Co-Main EventBout #8: CCW Tag Team Championship Tournament Finals Rhino & Raven vs. The Brainbusters - This title match turned into an all out brawl before the bell even rang. Tully and Rhino were pounding on each other, as Raven went to Arn's eyes and stomped on the Enforcers knees. Raven clotheslined Arn out of the ring and followed him out. Raven delivered a huge DDT on the floor, which caused blood to flow from Arn's nose. Tully and Rhino go through the ropes, as Raven pulled Arn back in and delivered a chair drop toehold. Raven pushed the chair out of the ring and called for the ref. The ref counted the pin fall at 9:46, awarding Raven and Rhino the CCW Tag Team Championship.

[glow=yellow,2,300]Summer Sizzler Schoolhouse Special Tour[/glow]Stop #2: Bishop England High School - Charleston, SC - Home of the Battling Bishops! 8/4/10 Bout #1: Maxx Mayhem vs. T-Roy Jones (both local talent) - T-Roy wins with a suplex at 6:56. Bout #2: Ox Madison vs. Johnny Flex (both local talent) - Flex used a cross body block to win at 7:01. Bout #3: Steve Keirn vs. Phill Shatter (local talent) - Keirn ran away the entire match, as he was trying to avoid the powerful Shatter. Keirn ran around the ring, as Shatter chased him. Steve grabbed his ring jacket and slide back into the ring. He tossed the jacket into the referee's face. As the ref was blinded, Steve let out a blood-curdling scream and fell to the mat. Shatter stood looking stunned, as Steve grabbed his groin and started screaming. The ref, who was tied up in the jacket, asked Steve what happened. "Oh GAWD! He kicked me in the pills! I am never going to have children now! Oh the pain!" The ref turned to Shatter and asked him, but Steve then started to act like he was going to throw-up. The ref DQed Shatter, because of the supposedly low blow by Shatter. Keirn wins at the 8:47 mark. As Shatter left the ring, the ref went to help Steve up. Keirn, seeing that Shatter left, hops back to his feet with a smile as he tricked the ref. Bout #4: Brad Armstrong vs. Justine Credible - A great match up, as their styles are polar opposites of each other. Brad used his wrestling skill to counter Justine's hardcore tendencies. The ref was allowing a little more than normal here, as both men turned up the the volume and intensity. Justine used two huge Singapore Cane shots to score the win at 15:09. Main EventBout #5: Timber & Sam Hayne vs. Elix Skipper & Orlando Jordan - A rematch from last week, as these two tag teams stay very close to their styles. Timber and Hayne tried to over-power the smaller Skipper and Jordan. Elix used his speed to his advantage and was able to hurt Sam with several fast paced moves. A flash tag to Orlando and Sam was downed at 8:10 with a stomach breaker.

Carolina Championship Wrestling John Kresse Center - Charleston, SC 8/5/10 - TV Taping for CCW's Thursday Night Titans Dark MatchMikael Judas vs. Jason Pain - Shatter's tag team partner, Judas, gets his first shot to impress the fans of the CCW, as he and local favorite Jason Pain gave the fans a solid dark match. Judas used his Assisted Suicide at 5:17 to win. TV TapingBout #1: Virgil vs. Larry Zbyszko - Larry Legend makes his CCW debut, as he takes on the former nWo member. Larry looked good, as usual, and used his Piledriver twice to take the win at 9:01. Bout #2: Danny Doring vs. Dan Severn - Severn made quick work of the Dastardly One, as he used a fireman's carry slam to take the win at just 1:39. Bout #3: The Ortons vs. The Fantastics - The Ortons were coming off the tag team tournament last week and they were looking to get back on the winning track. The same can be said for the Fantastics, who have been having a run of bad luck in tag matched over the past month. As soon as The Fantastics were able to isolate Sr, they never let him get near his son for a tag. Tommy nailed a sunset flip on Sr, as Bobby launched himself into Jr on the apron for the win at 6:15. Bout #4: Elix Skipper vs. Brian Pillman - These two have locked horns twice before and both times they have ended in time limit draws. This match started much quicker than the previous 2, but both men looked ready for anything their opponent had to dish out. Great technical wrestling was mixed with some great high spots, as both men drew the crowd deeper into the match. Elix went for his Play of the Day, but Pillman escaped. Elix felt Pillman's high cross body coming and was able to drop down to avoid the move. As both men battled in the middle of the ring, the bell rang to signal the 20-minute time limit expiration. Neither man looked satisfied, as they again battled to the time limit. The fans gave the men a nice ovation, but they know this is not the last time these two will lock horns. Bout #5: Raven vs. Terry Taylor - Half of the tag team champions, Raven looked impressive last week in the tag team tournament. Raven, the former ECW champion, looked great again, as he took apart Taylor and finished him off with his Evenflow DDT at 10:56 for the win. As soon as the ref counted the 3-count, Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard hit the ring and beat down the tag champion. Arn and Tully are getting their title shot at the Clash of the Champions on the 15th, but they are looking to make a statement before that point. As Arn and Tully are putting the boots to Raven, Sam Hayne and Timber come out of the crowd and attack the Brainbusters. Arn and Tully realize that discretion is the better part of valour, as they make a hasty retreat. Raven grabs the mic. Raven: You two old horses....you can't hurt me! You can't break the spirit that burns in my soul. You can't stand with the awesome power I possess and my Flock believes in.....Quoth the Raven...Nevermore! Bout #6: Orlando Jordan vs. The Sandman - A great match-up of two different styles. The fans were split in this one, as both Sandman and Orlando had their supporters. Sandman went for the cane shot, but Jordan ducked and nailed a huge spear type move to knock the cane to the floor. Jordan used his Blackout to win at 15:47. Bout #7: Savage-T (w/ KJ Hill) vs. Brad Armstrong - Savage-T and KJ Hill are from South Carolina, but the Armstrong name is synonymous with southern wrestling. Brad looked solid, as he won with his Russian Leg Sweep at 5:56. Main EventBout #8: Sid Vicious & Nigel McGuinness vs. Austin Idol & Don Muraco (w/ One Man Gang) - Sid and Nigel team again, even after they were apparently not on the same page last week. Nigel started the match against Muraco and they traded heavy shots. Good action, until Muraco thumbed Nigel in the eye. The champion was partially blinded, as Idol was tagged in and started to work on the champions knee. Nigel ducked a clothesline and answered with a hard knee strike to Idol's back. Nigel grabbed Idol and was setting him up for the Tower of London, but the long arm Sid reached in and made an unrequested tag. The ref had no choice, but to make Nigel leave. as Sid stepped over the top rope and pounded on Idol. Sid clotheslined Muraco off the apron and started nail Idol with heavy strikes. Muraco shot into the ring, but Sid was waiting on him with a huge boot. Sid fired Muraco into Nigel, knocking the champion off the apron. Sid then tossed Muraco over the top ropes and onto One Man Gang. Sid locked Idol in a cobra clutch for the win at 16:25. Sid grabbed the CCW Championship belt and looked at it, as Nigel slid back in. Sid tossed the belt at Nigel, who's eye was starting to swell, and walked out of the ring, as the show closed.

Steve is shot into the ropes and as he was coming off the ropes, he fell down. He grabbed his knee and started yelling that his knee is hurt. The ref came to check on Steve and then the ref called for the bell. Shatter was awarded the match due to ref stoppage for injury at 7:44. As soon as the ref called for the bell, Steve rolled out of the ring and walked away fine, again with a smirk on his face. Bout #3: Brad Armstrong vs. Danny Doring - Brad got a huge pop from the crowd at the "Big I". They went back and forth early, as Doring was looking for an opening. Brad kept up the pace and never let Doring get his footing. Brad used his Russian Leg Sweep at 14:19. Advertised Main EventBout #4: The Flock (Timber & Sam Hayne) vs. Elix Skipper & Orlando Jordan - Another match-up of these two tag teams, as the Flock again tried to use their size to their advantage. Elix used his speed to hurt Timber, but Sam made the tag and things turned. Sam locked on his Devil Lock at 16:12 to win the match. Larry Zbyszko came out to the ring. He takes the house mic.Larry: I am sorry that you people won't get to see me, the Living Legend, wrestle here tonight. But it looks like this Tyson chicken guy no-showed and cost you guys the chance to see me ply my trade. At least the golf here is good! Savage-T and KJ Hill come out of the backKJ: Well, Living Legend...we were in the back and then there was a call from the owner saying that they have a replacement opponent for you. Larry: What, this sawed off piece? KJ: putting her hand on Savage-T to stop him No, hun, T was being polite and escorting a lady. As for you opponent, how about.... "I Fought The Law" by The Clash hits, as the fans go crazy, watching the CCW Champion, Nigel McGuinness, walk to the ring.Larry: This loser? Please! I don't have the time it will take to teach this snaggle-toothed hump how to really wrestle. Nigel: Listen, you tosser, ain't no one here give a bloody crap about you! Larry: I am the Living Legend, you punk! I am not about to wrestle you for nothing! Nigel: How about we have a go for this! {Nigel holds up the belt}Larry: I will take you gold off of you and then I will send your punk-ass home to Ireland! Nigel: I'm British, you twat! And now I am gonna kick your teeth in! Bout #5: CCW Heavyweight Championship Match Larry Zbyszko vs. Nigel McGuinness (c) - This match started fast and hot. Nigel hammered the Legend, but Larry has been around for a long time. He used all of his tricks of the trade to hurt the champion. Larry went for his Piledriver, but Nigel was able escape and turn things around. This match had the fans at a fever pitch, as they wanted Nigel to take out Larry. Larry shot Nigel into the ropes, but Nigel leap frogged him and came off for the Jawbreaker Lariat. Larry knew it was coming and dropkicked Nigel's knee to stop the attempt. Larry was using hard kicks to hurt Nigel's ribs, but the champ thumbed him in the eye. He hit the ropes and delivered a huge Jawbreaker Lariat at 20:03 to retain the gold. The fans exploded after the match, as Larry lay in pain, holding his jaw.

The ref called for the bell and awarded the match to Shatter at the 3:17 point. The owner of CCW, Jason Jaconetti, walks out of the back. He has a microphone in his hand.JJ: I make it a point to not be on TV, because I am not a wrestler. I am an owner, but this has gone too far. The same thing goes for Shatter, but I bet this kid won't have an issue with it. I'm really enjoying your fed... great stuff with Phil Shatter on the undercard, and the main event picture is looking good, too. I really want Nigel and Sid to tear it up, though, that'll be an awesome match eventually. You should post the stats for the local guys you're using (I assume you have stats for those guys, anyway). They can stay local talent, but it's always good to share.. and maybe they'll make it to the LWA some day Ric Flair day's gonna rock!
