Press Conference Live from the Dungeon
Keith Hart: Thank you all for coming. I'd like to correct some mis-information given by the esteemed Mr. Foley at the a recent press conference. The man you see beside me is Clyde Sterns, the owner of Candian Heritage, LLC, and the man of the hour. It is due to his shrewd financial manuvuers that Stampede Wrestling has be rescued from the lunatic lumberjack just south of our border. We are pleased to have Mr. Foley as a part of our roster, but he does not, nor will he ever, have any controlling interest or authority to book matches here in Stampede Wrestling. Instead, I have the honor and privlege to be the new general manager of Stampede Wrestling. I have revamped the roster to make sure we can provide the exciting wrestling action that is the long tradition of Canada and this institution. While I regret PNW refused to let my younger brother out of his contract, we have a great roster of talent, eager to prove to the fans in the Calgary area that this is truly the home of the best wrestlers in the DWA.
Hart signals to a techincal guy and an overhead projector starts up, showing the roster to the gathered media
Our first card of the new era will be tomorrow night from Victoria Pavillion, where we will crown the Western Candian Heavyweight and Wetern Candian Tag Team champions. I hope to see you all at the matches!

Stampede Wrestling TV Dec. 16th, 2007
Ed Whalen: We’re back on the air her in the capital of Professional Wrestling! We have a ring-a-ding dandy of a card for you tonight! Lets get right to the ring.
SCOTTY THE BODY def. Kurt Cage (LT) @ 8:01 with a Piledriver
Scotty seemed confused as he came out, to a fairly good pop (mostly from the ladies in attendance) He kept looking back to the locker room, and calling for ‘Rip’, which allowed Cage to get some momentum. Scotty finally focused enough to finish the match
Scotty was calling for a mic and seemed ready to address the crowd when “Walk this Way” started blaring over the sound system and out came Bad News Allen! Boom box in one hand, and mic in the other, he waited for the boos to quiet down before speaking:
Allen: Listen up! I just can from Hicksville, USA, and even the losers there are dissing Stampede! I’ve fought in a lotta wars here, and that just ain’t right. So I’m here to make sure that stops.. to put Stampede back on the map. Hart, I know I’ve had my differences with you and those d**ned brothers of yours, but this time, we’re on the same side… we both want Stampede to be the best Mother***** territory in the LWA. (big pop). So here I am. I got plans for you, Scotty-too-full-of-himself. Lets rap. (After a slight protest, a slap upside the head convinces Scotty to follow Allen back to the locker room)
SPIROS ARION def. “Killer” Karl Kox with a flying elbow @ 4:06 The crowd was all over Kox from the outset, as he tried time and again to choke out the Golden Greek, only to be admonished by the referee. Arion took advantage of his complaining to get the upper hand, and used his Atomic Drop to set up a flying elbow for the win. After recovering, Kox motioned to his neck, promising that next time Arion wouldn’t be so lucky
PAT O'CONNOR/GRAPPLER def. The Berserkers (Eric the Red/Alexis Smirnoff) by DQ @ 4:26
The crowd really popped for Pat O’Connor, who had some surprising success in PCW before coming north. O’Connor’s technical prowess baffled the two strong men, but was unable to make much headway. Eric the Red got quickly frustrated and nailed O’Connor with the club he brought to ringside to cause the DQ. The Spoiler was out quickly to make sure things didn’t get ugly.
With John Pesek waiting in the Ring, JP Foley came out, along with the Grahams, and George ‘the Animal’ Steele, and was headed off by Ed Whalen.
Ed Whalen: This is a one on one match, Mr. Foley, and… (Foley takes his mic and cuts him off)
Foley: Hart! This was MY TIME. You and your stupid family blew it, losing this federation to the LWA, then letting that stupid lumberjack turn it into the minor leagues! Well, I was ready to change all that, with the new first family of Canadian Wrestling (motions to the Grahams), and you had to stick you nose in the business, you and that d**n lawyer of yours! It’s a war you want, and I have just the army to win it. Come on, men. (Foley leads his men to the ring, and Steele enters it half way, only some strangely kind words from Dr. Jerry coax him inside.)
JOHN PESEK def. George ‘the Animal’ Steele(w/ Foley’s Army) with a Double Wristlock @ 1:43
Pesek was a bit confused by Steele’s antics at first, but quickly realized his advantage, and the animal tapped very quickly. Foley sent the rest of his army into the ring to attack Pesek when Gene Kniski and Pat O’Connor came out to even the odds. Foley and Dr. Jerry quietly left the area while the others battled until the faces cleared the ring.
BUGSY MCGRAW def. Eddie Sullivan @ 2:48 with a Big Splash
A somewhat bewildered Eddie Sullivan was sent down to the ring by Commissioner Hart to substitute for Rip Rogers, and MCGRAW make quick work of him.
The Grahams def. Billy Robinson/Don Jardine when Dr. Jerry pins Robinson (with his feet on the ropes) @ 12:46 to become the 1st Western Canadian Tag Team Champions.
The match was scheduled to be Luke and Eddie Graham, but Luke had an ‘Episode’ just before the bell and ran screaming out of the building. JP Foley jumped into the ring waving a piece of paper in front of the official, and the match was re-started with Dr. Jerry as Eddie’s partner. And what a match! Robinson and Jardine were in control for the early part, but Luke returned to ringside (still screaming) and his timely interference was able to turn the tide on several occasions. After both Robinson and Eddie Graham were bleeding, Dr. Jerry finally motioned the referee to help him escort Luke away, but then used the distraction to roll up Robinson, and get the win to steal the Titles!
Don Muraco Demolishes Edwardo Carpentier in 4:56 to become the first Western Canadian Heavyweight Champ!
Muraco was extremely impressive here, there was never any doubt.

House Show Dec. 20, 2007
BAD NEWS ALLEN def. Sam Oliver Bass @ 6:17 with the Ghetto Blaster. Allen came out with Scotty the Body, who was sporting a new Black dye job and ‘hip hop’ attire. The back of his jacket had a giant Raven on it, with “SP” above and “Nevermore” below. Allen told the crowd that he respected the Hart family more than anyone else in the business, since they stay true to their roots, and to their selves, and went over and offered his hand to Keith Hart, who took it to a HUGE pop. Allen went on and promised that he and his ‘boy’ Scotty Poe would still kick the ass of anyone in their way in the ring, so not to get any ideas.
He then got in the ring and did just that, decimating Bass with his striking (and a roll of quarters) before finishing him off with the Ghetto Blaster.
PAT O’CONNOR/GRAPPLER def. Mystery of the Orient(Tiger Jeet Singh/Tor Kamata) by DQ @ 3:48
O’Connor and the Grappler both left bloody from the vast array of weapons Singh and Kamata seemed to have smuggled into the match. Neither of the heels seemed very upset at the loss
KARL KOX def. Spiros Arion with a piledriver @ 9:20
Kox kept signaling for a choke through out the match, but the referee stay on top of things and didn’t allow it. Arion got the upper hand briefly when Kox argued, but the momentum was short lived. After getting the pin Kox tossed the Golden Greek out of the ring and took a rope from under the ring and starting choking him! Security hit the scene quickly, but it was clear some damage had been done.
‘Diamond’ Timothy Flowers def. Edward Carpentier by Count Out @ 4:01
The Champ, Don Muraco was at ringside, and the distraction gave Flowers a clear advantage. The Magnificent one nailed Carpentier with a pitcher of water while Flowers distracted the referee to lead to the Countout. Muraco ran Carpentier, and Canadians in general, to a chorus of boos before Billy Robinson and Don Jardine ran him off
JOHN PESEK def. Alexis Smirnoff by submission with a Double Wristlock @ 14:39.
Definitely the match of the night! Classic battle here between a brawler and a wrestler… Pesek had the upper hamd most of the match, but the big Russian seemed impervious to pain. Smirnoff attempted to get the action outside on several occasions, but Pesek refused to take the bait, and finally wore him down enough to get the victory.
JP Foley came out with his Army, proudly displaying their newly ‘acquired’ Canadian Tag Team belts. Foley praised the Grahams as being the ‘true first family of Canadian wrestling’ to loud boos, until the Commissioner came out. Hart told Foley he appreciated his defending Stampede, but asked himto make sure his men competed fairly, and praised Hawk and Hanson as good champions and role models. Foley sniffed indignantly at him and walked away, while Dr. Jerry ordered Luke and George the Animal to step towards the commissioner, who beat a dignified, yet hasty retreat back to his seat. Luke was against scheduled to wrestle, and this time got VERY interested in the ring bell, and couldn’t be coaxed into the ring, so Eddie took the match.
Eddie Graham def. Billy Robinson by Countout @ 2:42
Graham looked very good to start the match, and got several near falls. It was clear, though, that Robinson had plenty of fight left. Suddenly, Luke got a hold of a mallet of some sort outside, and started ringing the bell over and over. The referee went outside to help the timekeeper, and Robinson followed. Luke took advantage and managed to smash the bell over Robinson’s head while there referee was returning the mallet, leading to the countout.

Thanks guys! I got some (what I think, anyway) good long term plans, too, so stay tuned. House Show Ogden Legion Hall, Calgary Dec. 22nd, 2007 THE GRAPPLER def. Eric the Red with a Swinging Neckbreaker @ 5:43. The Grappler got his mask torn and his face bloodied from the Berserker’s wide array of foreign objects, but was able to carry the day with a surpise thumb to the throat leading into a Swinging neckbreaker ROUGH ‘N’ TUMBLE (Bass/McGraw) def. Ghetto Blasters (Allen/Scotty) @ 2:21 when McGraw hit the Big Splash on Scotty Poe Allen and Scotty got a good pop, and the two had a bit of a conference before the match, with Allen seeming giving some pointers, but Scotty not all that eager to listen. The ‘class’ turned out to be warranted, though, as Bass and McGraw took Scotty apart and got the eeasy victory. Allen helped his new partner up, then leveled McGraw the Ghetto Blaster, screaming “That’s how to get it done” A look and a feint was all it took for Bass to stay away, as the two heading back tot the locker room. JOHN PESEK def. Tor Kamata by Submission with a Double Wristlock @ 15:32. Great match! Pesek put on an absolute clinic in mat wrestling, but the triple tough Kamata refused to submit, and finally got in some offense. A very impressive delayed vertical suplex nearly put the Tiger man down, but Pesek got a foot on the ropes and was able to regain control on the ground. Pesek asked for a mic after the match, and called out the champ, asking for a title shot. Muraco and “Diamond” Tim Flowers came out in response. Muraco explained that he’d have to beat Flowers first for him to ever consider it, and began to explain how Magnificent he really is when the mic shut off. Keith Hart entered the ring and reminded Muraco just who was in charge, and made a match Stampede TV on Monday… Muraco and Flowers would meet Pesek and a partner of his choosing. He assured Pesek that a victory would mean a title shot, and then whispered something to him that made him smile and agree to the plan. Muraco was confident as usual and promised the crowd another Magificent performance. After the champ returned to his locker room for his match later that evening, the Commissioner told the crowd that JP Foley and his men were not in attendance, as they were on their way to Christmas Chaos, to end the dispute over the tag team titles. While he wished them luck, he also warned Foley on no uncertain terms that any shenigans when he got back home would not be tolerated. GENE KNISKI def. ‘Killer’ Karl Kox by DQ @ 3:48 Kox looked like he was ready to attempt to put another competitor on the shelf, and went for his choke early. Big Thunder was up to the task, though, and quickly went on the offensive. Kox seemed unnerved by being overpowered, and resorted to using brass knuckles, but was caught by the referee and disqualified Pat O’Connor Vs. Tiger Jeet Singh was ruled no contest O’Connor seemed determine to fight fire with fire, but quickly lost the advantage to the more dastardly Singh. The referee was unable to get either man to get intot he ring as they brawled all over the ringside area, and summoned security to break up the fight. DON MURACO/TIMOTHY FLOWERS def. Billy Robinson/Edward Carpentier by DQ @ 6:42 The Champ seemed content to let his sidekick to the work, and in fact had some chips and a can of soda on the apron with him. Robinson and Carpentier worked Flowers over, but when the action spilled outside Muraco acted. While Robinson was trying to get the referee to notice Flowers getting something out of his tights, Muraco smashed his can into his friend’s head, then tossed it at Carpentier’s feet. The referee turned and called for the bell, disqualifying Carpentier for the apparent use of a foreign object. The hometown crowd and its native sons were livid as Muraco and Flowers laughed their way out of the arena.

Stampede Wrestling TV December 24th, 2007
Ed Whalen: Thanks for joining us for this special Monday Edition of Stampede Wrestling TV. We’ll get right to the ring for our first match up of the evening.
KARL KOX def. Rob Rickert (LT) with a Brainbuster @ 2:31 Squash for Kox. After the match, he wrapped his hands around Rickert’s neck squeezed until security was able to restore order
Whalen: Wow, Karl Kox sure does life up to his “killer’ moniker! I only hope the commissioner puts a stop to these attacks before some gets permanently injured. For those of you that missed the big Christmas Chaos PPV, The Grahams, strange as they are, did defend the honor of Stampede Wrestling and defeat the pretenders to the Tag Team throne, Rip Hawk and Swede Hanson. (highlights of the match are run) That was a classic! Later tonight we’ll see the Heavyweight Champ, Don Muraco in tag team action against John Pesek and a mystery opponent, but first, lets go to the ring to see the new look of Scotty Poe.
SCOTTY POE def. Eddie Sullivan with Running Knee to Turnbuckle @ 4:30.
Scotty was impressive in his first singles match since his new look, and showed some real aggressiveness. Bad News Allen was at ringside and seemed far more pleased at Scotty’s performance than he was in their recent tag team match.
BAD NEWS ALLEN def. Bugsy McGraw by Countout @ 2:41
This one was a brawl from the outset, and wasn’t in the ring long. Allen dropped McGraw on his boom box with a DDT to knock him out. He and Scotty headed over to the interview area after his match
Whalen: Welcome, gentleman. Bad News, you seem to have the fans behind you, despite your past conflicts with the Harts. What’s changed?
Brown: I think the fans here respect my attitude… I am who you see. and angry man who will beat you bloody if you stand in my way. No frills. No lies. No tricks. Just a good ole fashioned fighter. Scotty here’s the same, now that he’s dropped the gimmicks.
Scotty: That’s right, E-Dog! I’m not trying to be a bad boy, or a pretty boy, I’m just Scotty Poe, and with my homie teaching me some new moves, Stampede better watch out!
Whalen: Well, gentleman, I think the fans are indeed ‘down’ with you. (big pop) Good luck in the ring. (Allen and Poe nod and leave to ‘Walk this Way’)
SAM OLIVER BASS def. Edward Carpentier with a Running Power Slam @ 6:43 Carpentier’s losing streak continues! He was in control early on, but went to the well once to often sending Bass into the corner, and he paid for it.
Commissioner Hart: I had a few things I wanted to announce to our fans here on TV tonight. First of all, I applaud Mr. Foley and his team for keeping the Western Canadian Tag Team Titles here in Canada, and does so in a fair, honest fashion. Mr. Foley and I have our difference, but in the end its good to know I can rely on the men of Stampede Wrestling (big pop). I’d also like to announce that both the Heavyweight and Tag Team titles will be on the line when we visit Memorial Arena on Friday. I also would like to announce a very, very special guest for our main event tonight, but that would spoil the surprise. So your champion will just have to wait a little while longer to find out.
PAT O’CONNOR/GRAPPLER def. Mystery of the Orient by DQ
O’Connor was cut off and in big trouble when the referee caught Tiger Jeet Singh attempted to use his patented sleight of hand to dispose of brass knuckles. Despite the win, O’Connor needed help to get back to the locker room, and was none to happy with his partner.
BILLY ROBINSON def. Alexis Smirnoff @ 14:21 with a Gutwrench Suplex
Smirnoff once again comes out on the short end of a very good, back and forth contest… as the former champ has yet to get things going in the new era of Stampede wrestling.
DON MURACO/TIM FLOWERS def. John Pesek/Owen Hart @ 10:17
The roof of the arena nearly came off when native son Owen Hart was announced as Pesek’s partner for the evening, but “Diamond” Tim attacked him even before the rinf announcer finished his intro. The match went back and forth, until Muraco was able to knock Hart off the top rope while screened from the referee and allow his sidekick to tag him in for the Hawaiian Hammer and the victory.
