*2 - Security pours into the ring as both teams continue to brawl. Security struggles to contain the melee as the show fades to black.
Angle Developments:
Mil Mascaras is out for an interview. Two weeks ago, he made a statement. That statement was that he can go hold for hold and move for move with the NWA World Heavyweight Champion. He is not afraid of the Walking Legend Lou Thesz. He is not afraid of this historic moment. This is going to be the biggest match that the NWA has ever seen. He's not going to let the moment get to them. He plans to stand tall when that moment comes. Win or lose, people are going to be talking about this match for years to come.
NWA Commissioner Whipper Billy Watson is out for an interview. He announces that Bobo Brazil has been suspended until further notice due to Abdullah Farouk's complaint. He has his team of lawyers working on the issue but for right now, Brazil did assault someone that is only a licensed manager. He will keep the fans updated as things continue to develop.
Buddy Rogers is out for an interview. Ilio Dipaolo picked the wrong man to mess with last week. He's going to make it his single goal to make Dipaolo's life completely miserable. That's a guarantee you can take to the bank.
Ivan Koloff is with Bill Apter for the Hot Seat this week. Koloff says that he wants to take Jim Londos and crush him. He wants the fans to see their hero broken and defeated. He wants these American fans to doubt the American Dream. He wants them to despair and see that Russia can not be stopped.
NWA World Tag Team Champions Kevin Sullivan and "Dr. Death" Steve Williams are out for an interview. Williams places his title belt on the table and says that this is the ultimate prize in tag team wrestling. He and Sullivan won these from a team that everyone thought was unstoppable. He knows that the Kangaroos fancy themselves as this elite world class tag team but he doesn't see any belts on their resume. Sure, they won the Crockett Cup but that is a tournament. A tournament and a championship belt are two different things. They are not giving up these belts at any cost. The Kangaroos will have to pry the belts out of their cold dead hands. He wonders if they have what it takes for that kind of battle. Sullivan chimes in and says that he has nothing more to add.
Next Week:
Jimmy Snuka vs. Diamond Dallas Page in the main event...
Freddie Blassie vs. Cousin Luke...
also in action will be NWA World Tag Team Champions Kevin Sullivan and "Dr. Death" Steve Williams, Frank Gotch, Ivan Koloff, Killer Bees, Hamilton Wrecking Crew, Iron Sheik, Ilio Dipaolo and Hillbilly Jim.

Paul Ellering and the Road Warriors are out for an interview. Ellering calls the Mongols a couple of punks. They might have won the match last week but there will be matches in the future and the Road Warriors will win them all. Animal wants a rematch as soon as possible. He wants to stomp those losers into the ground. Hawk reminds the Mongols that they held the NWA World Tag Team Championship for well over a year. They are one of the best teams in the NWA. They screwed with the wrong people.
NWA World Heavyweight Champion Lou Thesz is out for an interview. He talks about Mil Mascaras as being a tough opponent and one of the elite wrestlers in the world today. He's made a point of defending the belt against the best wrestlers that the NWA has to offer at any time. He's held the belt for a long time and he anticipates holding it for a long while still. At the Great American Bash, he's going to show Mil Mascaras that he's the better man.

Johnny Valentine is out for an interview. He's back in the NWA after some time off. He's back and he's got one goal in mind and that's to become the NWA World Heavyweight Champion. He's going to win the belt no matter the cost. He doesn't care who he has to beat or who he has to step on to achieve his goals. Lou Thesz and Mil Mascaras had better beware because Johnny Valentine is coming to get them.
NWA United States Champion the Destroyer is out for an interview. The life of a champion in the NWA is not an easy one. Everyone is gunning for you and the belt you wear. He has proven time and time again that he's up to the challenge of keeping his belt. Jimmy Snuka is a tough man but he has not shown the ability to win the tough matches like the Destroyer has.
Next Week:

They respect the Dibiases a lot but all bets are going to be off when they climb into the ring next week.
NWA World Junior Heavyweight Champion Nigel McGuinness is backstage. He beat Johnny Saint for this belt in front of a large viewing audience and Saint wants to be humiliated again in front of even more people. Saint doesn't have a chance against him. He's just too much for the old man.
Jimmy Hart and NWA World Television Champion the Mountie is backstage. Valiant is the king of the cheap shots. But at the Great American Bash, there won't be an opening for anymore cheap shots. Then everyone will see that the Mountie is the bigger man.

He's brought more honor and prestige to the belt in 2 months than anyone else has since the NWA formed. Jimmy Valiant will learn that lesson the hard way. At the Great American Bash, his legacy will continue to grow.
NEW NWA United States Tag Team Champions the Killer Bees are backstage. Blair talks about how they've had a rocky road in the NWA the last few years. They've lost more matches than they should've and haven't gotten where they wanted. But these belts, make up for all of that. All of those setbacks and all of those losses. They don't matter anymore. Brunzell agrees. They are finally champions in the NWA. Nothing in their career past this point will effect their status as having held gold in the biggest wrestling promotion in the world. They plan to defend those belts against all challengers too. They don't care if it's the Masked Superstars, Rob Van Dam and Sabu, the Dibiases or anyone else. If anyone wants a shot at these belts, then come get their shot.
