Normally, I would complain with you guys. But in this instance, I have been enjoying his WWE run and wishing I had a card that reflected that better. So this actually makes me very happy.

Personally I'm not complaining. Just not interested in him. So far there's been no announcements in this set that make it a must buy. I used to buy two of everything FG produced without question. I've decided to start only buying things that really interest me. Vote with my wallet so to speak. So far there are no names in 12 that make it a must buy, to me. But there's still some names yet to be released.

Blackjack Mulligan for me. They could've put anyone else in this set and I could've given fuck all with Mulligan in there. Bernard, Warlord and Kai are just huge bonuses on top of him.

I'm not complaining either just trying to make a valid point. If someone signs a contract to be in the game it's in everyone's best interest to produce the card asap. The Castagnoli card makes more sense as a LE like Danielson's

. So far there are no names in 12 that make it a must buy, to me. But there's still some names yet to be released. I understand. To me Warlord and Jim Powers make the set worthwhile. As I wrote before, I was going to "bootleg up" the Promoter online edition card to make a new Antonio Cesaro, so putting him in there with art to reflect his current look and wrestling style saves me the trouble. The thing to me is that the roster for Legends is so deep now, and the pool of potential big name "gets" is so low, that I think it may have been tough to round out this edition. Also, from all accounts this is it for the black and white Legends releases. All of the time and energy going forward is going to be on the color, company specific stuff (Chikara, ROH, etc). If the trend holds, there are ten cards in the main set, and two special edition cards. You could split hairs and say one of the wrestler who would've been in the regular edition gets bumped to special card status, or that Claudio fills one of those spots. As to the other point: if a fan brings a signed release to Tom for a wrestler that the fan is excited about, but Tom isn't, it's getting pushed to the backburner. If he thinks a Claudio card will push sales harder than, say, Outback Jack, then it's obvious who will get included in the set. It's maddening sometimes to know "x" wrestler has signed on and see it take years for the card to get done, but this is also a case of fans handing Tom Filsinger more than he can work with. After the initials few releases Legends has morphed into the most fan driven game I've ever seen.

I hope that anyone who is signed that doesn't fit into the company specifc stuff isn't just forgotten about and gets released in a PDF file or in the promoter at some point

I am fairly certain the pdf releases will continue. They are very low risk releases from a cost standpoint and appeal to the hardcore fans who don't mind (and in many cases prefer) the black and white cards.

And when they do ROH alumni or legends set of guys already in the game with cards, Claudio will get another one. What do you mean by a legends set with guys already in the game ? I meant a ROH alumni or ROH Legends set, which would be cards of guys already in the game with cards, getting a new color card. Obviously it's easier to release a new card of someone already with a card, should they move up to WWE, then it is to sign a new person.

Claudio in the set kinda baffled me but I think just continues with the WWE trend of attempting to bring in WWE fans to start buying the game. Would have rather had him as an LE and saved the spot for an actual Legend.
Speaking of Legends was there not talk at one point of the Poffo's being in a set or signing? I am holding out that we see Randy, Lanny and Angelo?
So far the announcements for 12 have me excited for the set. Just scratched my head at getting yet another Claudio.

There were talks with Randy Savage but I don't really think anything came about from them.

There's two things on the Savage front.
One, Savage actually called Tom at some point, but unfortunately Tom missed the call and apparently couldn't get in touch with Randy after that.
Two, I've heard that Lanny had expressed interest in being in the game. Don't know if that ever went anywhere.

Damn that sucks! How cool would that have been if the Poffo's all made it into Legends this year. Oh Well I am sure there is a big surprise at the end for this set to round out roster.

I think Randy Savage ended up being like Bret Hart. There was a brief window to get them in the game and it just didn't happen.
