Touche. Other than WM XXX, this is the only show stateside in a long time that I can think of that actually did everything right from a booking standpoint. There were people complaining because nothing was resolved last night. Taven's still going after Truth, Maria and Kingdom still have Jay's world title, reDRagon/Bad Influence are going to have another match. They resolved Elgin/Cole last night. They built that match for nine months and gave everyone who watched a satisfying ending. When's the last time ROH did that with a main event?

Bound for Glory 2006 is the last show I remember having all the right booking decisions.

Actually...Money in the Bank 2011 hit it all right on the head. They had the right MITB winners in Bryan and Del Rio, Punk going over Cena was right. The only thing that was kind of bleh was the Orton vs. Christian low blow finish but it made sense.

Apparently this did around 10,000 buys but there's no word on how many buys were on cable/satellite vs. how many were iPPV.

That's a really good number for them. I'm guessing most of those will be cable.

I know part of the deal was to do another PPV (likely Final Battle) on cable PPV that they had to hit a fixed number of buys. Hopefully they hit it.

Saw this on WrestleZone. They broke even on the show and the number from what I know almost locks in that Final Battle will be on cable and satellite.
According to The Wrestling Observer, when ROH announced back in May that it would be debuting on PPV with June’s Best in the World event, the break even target number of PPV buys was set at 10,000.
Sinclair Broadcasting, ROH’s parent company, signed a deal earlier this year which would see ROH produce two PPV’s this year – Best in the World and Final Battle, which takes place in December. ROH & Sinclair viewed the leap to PPV as “exploratory,” with the possibility of doing more PPV events based on the success of Best in the World and Final Battle.
Early Best in the World estimates are in, and have the show taking in around 10,000 buys, which is the break even point for ROH, and is considered a success. ROH had only a couple weeks to promote the show on PPV as the company made the announcement in May, and it’s being said certain advertisers even apologized to ROH for late ads that didn’t begin running until a day before the event.

This isn't a shot at RoH but it's really sad to me that wrestling has fallen to the point that a company doing 10,000 buys is something to get excited over.

I blame the Monday Night War.

I blame MMA, the WWF botching the post-WCW era and TNA crushing the hopes of non-WWE fans in 2007.

Some how, some way. This is all Earl Hebner's fault.
