Okay... So why is it bad to google AR Fox's real name? I've never done it, but there was a rumor a year or so ago that googling his name would lead you to some videos he did of the 'having sex with another man' variety. Obviously it doesn't change that he's a good athlete and shit, but it's kind of weird that out of every guy on the indies you'd expect to have done that shit, he's apparently the one who did it.

Asked Court Bauer why I can't find shit on the ROH PPV anywhere, got this as a reply:
I asked our people that yesterday. It’s a 3rd party issue We are doing the show but this doesn’t make us look good at all.
It certainly doesn't, Court.

Called DirecTV and got this bit of info: The show can't be ordered through them until the day of the show and that's why it isn't showing up on their website or the other providers' websites. Kind of a shitty deal for ROH that their PPV is kept so quiet but DirecTV openly advertises TNA One Night Only and shit.

I know that's not their fault but people are going to lose their shit if that's the answer after they never owned up to any of the iPPV problems.

Offering refunds or free viewings of the next iPPV doesn't count as owning up to the technical errors?

In the sense that it was always "it was out of our control" was what they would say. I think that answer won't sit well with a lot of people. This is going to kill their actual cable/satellite buys. That's some 90s shit right there. I don't know what the issue is or why Direct TV doesn't care.
Interesting side note. I watched a shoot interview with Jim Cornette talking about dealing with Sinclair management. Was that a sad and insightful chat.

The big thing with people who were burned by the iPPV is that they wouldn't buy another show unless they had the ability to watch it on their TV without a computer. They have that now. How many of them actually come back is a different matter entirely. This should do well enough for them, if TNA can suck shit on PPV for as long as they have and not get booted, if their One Night Only shows can suck shit for as long as they have and keep being brought back, ROH aren't in any major danger.
That Cornette shoot with Kayfabe Commentaries reeked of the typical Cornette, "I'm the babyface, everyone else are completely incompetent fucks". I will say that there are some things he said on that interview that he was probably telling the truth about (Steen, SBG being tight with money, the whole scenario with Corino at the November 2012 TV taping) but even that last one has a few different interpretations out there from people who were there.

Taven/Lethal added. Ciampa probably added to the match next week.

Yeah. Cornette has that "I'm the only person that knows what I'm doing" thing. That's why I you can't take him seriously when he talks about the talent or the booking from his RoH run. He was as big a problem as anyone else. But I did buy that they are cheap and don't have a clue about running a wrestling company.

I buy them being cheap and the SBG office heads they put into place not having a clue. I don't buy that none of the problems that were clearly caused by his booking weren't his fault, though.

Totally agree. His booking was total shit. He hurt more guys than he helped.

You know, now that I think about it...that Kyle vs. Davey feud he set up never really had a proper payoff unless you count their singles match from TV last year. They set that up like it was going to be this big feud and it almost got passed over in favor of reDRagon vs. the Wolves.
I'm glad Cornette's gone from ROH. He had no idea what to do with the roster he had and everything he tried ended up killing whoever was involved. Look at Steen and Davey's world title reigns. They were terribly unremarkable 11 month reigns.

Yeah. His refusal to turn Steen face was really baffling. I think Steen hurt himself a bit with how out of shape he was but that was like 10-20% of the problem vs. Cornette being 80% of the problem.
Cornette is just out of touch and wasn't adaptable. If I was in his shoes I would have started shying away from letting certain guys talk. I would have had Elgin beat Steen for the title too.

I agree that Elgin should have beat Steen for the title. It made sense given that Elgin had a metric fuck ton of momentum at the time and was the 'it' guy on the indies (thanks in no small part to Davey), why wouldn't you put the title on him?

Because you need to job guys about two times too many. Wait till the fans have cooled on them and then give them a year run with the belt.
