That leaves two cards to be announced? Maybe Cole and Elgin updates?

btw I read where Matt Hardy is going back to TNA. I'd assume that puts the breaks on any potential ROH card in the future but I really don't know his contract situation there. Is this a special thing or is he back full-time? Maybe there is still some hope for a Matt Hardy CWFH card idk. Seems like he's only booked for the TNA NYC tapings but I've also heard it might be a permanent deal with Hardy.

Didn't even bring legends forms with me because I've been told I can no longer get do that kind of work for FG, so unfortunately, no. Oh well. Thanks for all your efforts in the past, ToasterBoy. Look at the bright side: now you can just relax and enjoy the job without having to serve too many masters. Filsinger Games won't be ruined without a Matt Hardy card. The Hardys will always be a tag team act to me, so Matt without Jeff would be a card I probably wouldn't use much anyway. On topic, that's mean looking Danielson art. He and Steen can battle for "most ruthless looking extreme closeup". I'd have personally preferred something more dynamic, but it's a great looking piece of art. That first CWFH set opened a lot of doors for CZW and Shimmer, sets that may not have gotten done (as soon or as well) if CWFH didn't blaze that trail. It also created an opportunity for die-hard fans of those feds to help create them. Games for the fans, by the fans, over seen by Tom Filsinger is what it's all about imo. Agree about the Hardy's. Especially in 2014. I'm not sure how great a Matt Hardy 2014 singles card would be. He'd be lower than a whole handful of top name ROH guys. Would we be giving him the 2 Cold Scorpio treatment and slapping him with +1 power and +3 agility to go along with his 7(4) PIN? (half joking, half serious here...) Or would we just say it's classic Matt and stat him like a WWE prime card? He might be best suited for LOW at this point. With that said, it sounds like maybe be has an exclusive self-rights contract where he can wrestle anywhere but not be committed to anyone in case WWE ever comes calling again. So we might never find out.

Well if you want to be funny about it, Matt did have a brief run in ROH in 2005 and you could easily base a card off of that. It'd be statted similarly to a prime Matt Hardy card anyways but I think he's much better suited for LOW.

I'm not huge into the current RoH product but who wants that Matt Hardy anyways? He's lazy and over the hill and generally sucks. I'd rather get an RoH version of the Backseat Boyz, Brodie Lee, Adam Pearce, Brent Albright or just about anyone else before him.

Honestly, a color Brent Albright wouldn't be all that much different from the LOTF card. That's one of the LOTF cards that I thought was statted perfectly.

I would LOVE to see a Brent Albright colour card.

As would I. Albright was one of my favorite guys in ROH back in 2007. I think the problem with doing Albright is that he's a lesser known ROH guy, people would probably scratch their heads as to why he's got a card but not someone from the current roster.

Albright would be nice for sure, wouldn't mind Stevens either.

I forgot about Erick Stevens. He's another guy that it'd be cool to do a color card for but at the same time, he'd probably be viewed as a waste of a spot. I think he'd be a nice addition to the lower midcard that the ROH game needs more faces in.

His b/w card is just about right I think. You could always lobby to get him in Promoter Prime.

So the new Adam Cole card art looks great however I have an issue with it being too dark and more in line with a CZW release with the all black background. It is so out of place with the rest of the ROH cards. I'm thinking the design choice for this card was not the best given all the other cards in this set have the usual background art. Adam Cole should have had the same. The straight black backgrounds I felt were reserved for the CZW cards. Again not against the artwork it looks awesome if this were for a CZW set. But for a championship run Adam Cole I expected something more consistent with the current ROH line AND brighter to showcase Adam Cole as a champion.

But for a championship run Adam Cole I expected something more consistent with the current ROH line AND brighter to showcase Adam Cole as a champion. It's based on Cole's ROH ring entrance: all the lights go down except the gold lights in the entrance backlighting Cole. Then it's just the one spotlight in the arena following him to the ring apron. It's pretty impressive live. In fact, here's a youtube video of it from the last ROH show I did attend live: AS far as all of this talk about Stevens and Albright and these other guys most people don't even remember anymore; I'm even more down on that idea than I was on the last set. At least guys like Aries, Claudio, and the others are still relevant to wrestling in general today, and Hero ended up coming back between the time the set was announced and it being released. A current TV company should not be letting product come out that looks back instead of focusing on the current product they're trying to sell, in my opinion. On a personal and selfish level, I was not watching ROH on HDNet for the most part and have no connection to guys like Albright and Stevens, so I wouldn't do anything with the cards. I feel like a lot of people outside of the niche FG community would probably be the same way. Then again, I'm not sure who the audience for these cards IS outside of the niche FG community. Maybe they're bringing in new people with them, maybe they're not.

For me the main reason not to use an all black background is if there is also a pdf version of the set. Then you have to print them and that kills all your black ink.
