Savage/DDP in a "Las Vegas Sudden Death Match", aka Texas Death Match. Like the PPV itself, Macho Man's tights are sponsored by Slim Jim's.

Can I just be a disgusting pig for a moment and thank the WWE network for nWo era leather hot pants wearing Elizabeth?

Hogan/Sting gets all the historic attention, but the Page/Savage feud was amazing.

Savage wins when "Sting" comes out and waffles DDP with a bat. Of course, it's not Sting, because it's Halloween Havoc and you have to have a lookalike gimmick.

Hogan/Piper cage match, just about ten years to late, is the main event.

So the cage WCW used here was massive. A good five feet between it and the ring on each side...
The opening spot includes Piper literally biting Hogan's ass. It's all down hill from there.

We've got another fake Sting sighting... Make that two.

There's no sensible narrative here. The ring is surrounded by Stings. Savage makes a really remarkable jump from the top of the cage that is all but forgotten as Piper promptly wins with a sleeper hold. One of the fake stings tried to help Piper and got roughed up by Hogan. A fan also in a sting match climbs the cage, and promptly gets tackled by the fake sting before Hogan and Savage go old school on the idiot fan. Total cluster.

Okay final thoughts. Match of the night: Eddie/Rey MVP: Eddie. CM Punk was right when he said it, Eddie Guerrero is the greatest wrestler who ever lived. Worst match: Disco/Jackie narrowly beats out Hogan/Piper and Mongo/Das Wunderkid. Counter programming note: WWF didn't have much to offer this month by way of competition. Just In Your House: Badd Blood, featuring the debut of Kane and the first ever Hell in a Cell match. Roll of the die to determine the next Havoc on the agenda gives us.... The final Halloween Havoc, 2000, oh lord.

And now it's Disco Inferno. He's the TV champ, but his match against Miss Jackie is non-title. That's right the two matches that follow Eddie/Rey are Mongo/Wright and Disco/Jacquline. Was that before or after the Chyna Vs. Jarrett feud? Just wondering who was following who at that point... or did Chyna feud with Jericho for the IC belt before Jarrett?

Chyna/Jarrett, which came before Chyna/Jericho, was in late 99. So technically this abomination came first.

Here we go, Halloween Havoc 2000, the last of its kind. Does it go out with a bang or a whimper?

We open with Pamela Paulshock asking the crowd "who's there to see Goldberg?" Man, I haven't thought about Paulshock in almost 15 years. Wonder how she ended up?

This PPV is sponsored by Electronic Arts Backstage Assault video game... Which is kinda like having your restaurant sponsored by explosive diarrhea.
