Thanks for the predictions, Cold! I haven't played the fight card out yet, but I hope McGraw can pull it off too! Ron Retires?Filed under: Rumors > Ron GarvinRumor has it that former NWA World Heavyweight Champion Ron Garvin is going to leave the LWA at the end of April! We here at PerezHogan.com hope that Mr. Garvin is happy with whatever he decides to do at the end of the month. T.A.G. fans would miss him! [glow=navy,2,300][/glow] CARD 69: Pay-Per-View on Tuesday, April 29, 2008 @ the Ryan Center -- Kingston, RI All four members of the New Money Inc were in the ring as the night's PPV started. Ted DiBiase stood in the middle of the ring with Rick Rude to his left, and Brock Lesnar to his right. Ted had a microphone in hand and addressed the crowd. "I know all you peons want to know who the newest member of Money Inc is, and guess what? I'm not going to tell you right now! Hahahahahaha!" The crowd booed him for a short time. "Instead," Ted continued, "I will just let you know that I have made a deal with a certain manager to let him have Rick Rude's contract. He paid me a lot of money, and has plans for Mr. Rude, so I couldn't say 'no'. Also: Brock Lesnar has made a deal to join The Rock and Randy Savage to form the newly named ‘Rock Solid’ team! Money Inc wish Mr. Lesnar well on his future endeavors, and he has Money Inc’s sincerest wishes. So, now that we have room here in Money Inc, who will be the newest member?” Ted paused as the crowd buzzed a bit, tossing out a few names. “I will tell you who it is! It will be...” A long pause this time. “...revealed to you LATER, you morons! Hahahahhahahaha!” With that, the four of them left the ring, still leaving the question of who will be the newest Money Inc member unanswered.
MATCH 1: RICK MCGRAW VS "LATIN HEARTTHROB" AL PEREZ Perez wins with a quick Flying Forearm in a time of just 0:43.
MATCH 2: AL SNOW VS TED ARCIDI (with Al Madril) Ted Arcidi took a boat-load of punishment from Snow, needing to kick out of FIVE pin attempts before Ted could muster up any offense. Arcidi seemed to be on the comeback trail, but the writing was on the wall for this one as Snow goes on to get the victory in this long match. Al Snow wins with a Sleeperhold in a time of 19:11.
MATCH 3: T.A.G. WOMEN'S CHAMPION TAI "KILLER" WEED VS JAZZ -- TITLE BOUT It took Jazz the use of her finisher twice to put Tai Weed away to become the new champ! Jazz wins with her finisher-S.T.F. in a time of 1:16, thus Jazz becomes the NEW T.A.G. Women’s Champion for the first time!
MATCH 4: ANTONINO ROCCA VS "IRON" MIKE DIBIASE (with Ted DiBiase) In an uncharacteristic display, Rocca got himself DQed to give the match to "Iron Mike". Rocca was disqualified in a time of 4:28.
MATCH 5: T.A.G. TEAM CHAMPIONS FRANK GOTCH & BRUNO SAMMARTINO VS MANNY FERNANDEZ & RON GARVIN -- TITLE BOUT Garvin got the first pin attempt of the match against Gotch, but that was all the offense he could generate. Frank Gotch took over and out-wrestled Garvin, then went on to victory for his team. Gotch & Sammartino win when Gotch used a Spinning Neckbreaker on Garvin in a time of 3:47. As Bruno and Frank Gotch celebrated in the ring, Bruno had his back to Gotch and then... WHAM! Gotch nailed Sammartino in the back of the head with the Tag Belt! Bruno hit the mat hard! Then, the sound of Ted DiBiase’s laughter filled the arena! The crowd knew then and there who the newest Money Inc member was -- Frank Gotch! Mike and Ted DiBiase came down to ringside and congratulated Gotch on a fine title defense, and proceeded to pound on the semi-conscious Sammartino. Pedro Morales and Antonino Rocca showed up to break it up before Bruno was hurt too badly, but the damage was done! Gotch turned on Sammartino, but why?
MATCH 6: PEDRO MORALES VS "MILLION DOLLAR MAN" TED DIBIASE Hot off the heels of the last match’s outcome, “The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase dominated the early bit of fighting, getting two pin attempts and using his finisher twice on the Puerto Rican superstar. Pedro mounted a steady comeback though, and started applying submission holds a-plenty on DiBiase. Seeing that his son was in trouble, "Iron" Mike DiBiase came to ringside and interfered in the match when Pedro used his finisher on Ted to end the match. Pedro Morales wins by disqualification when Mike DiBiase interfered in a time of 12:13.
MATCH 7: T.A.G. TELEVISION CHAMPION MAGNUM TERRY ALLEN VS "RAVISHING" RICK RUDE (with Ted DiBiase) --TITLE BOUT It was clear that Rick Rude wanted to become T.A.G. Television Champion again. He dismantled Magnum T.A.’s attack plan right from the start, and masterminded a brilliant attack plan on his way to winning the match and the Belt, despite the interference from Nikita Koloff. Rude pins Magnum with a Noggin Knocker in a time of 6:45, thus Rude becomes the NEW T.A.G. Television Belt for the second time!
MATCH 8: "RUSSIAN NIGHTMARE" NIKITA KOLOFF VS THE ROCK Not wanting any of what Koloff was cooking, The Rock got himself DQed fairly quickly. Koloff wins when The Rock was disqualified in a time of 2:12.
MATCH 9: T.A.G. HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION ULTIMATE WARRIOR VS CACTUS JACK (with Al Snow) -- TITLE BOUT Everyone expected an easy squash match for Warrior in this bout, and all the experts had picked Warrior to win easily. Cactus was out to prove the critics wrong, and gave it one hundred and twenty percent this time out. Warrior started out with his finisher, which he used twice. It did not look good for Cactus, but he managed to kick out of both pin attempts. Cactus took some time to get rolling offensively, but finally managed to get a couple of pin attempts on Warrior. Warrior, who had not even broken a sweat yet at the ten-minute mark, went back to work against Cactus. A quick Cross Body Block gave Warrior control again. Warrior decided it was time to end it with his finisher, and used it. Cactus, by some miracle, kicked out of Warrior’s finisher for a THIRD time! Warrior was sweating now, and went yet again for his finisher. Cactus, defying all odds, kicked out YET AGAIN! The crowd was behind Cactus now, and the momentum shifted strongly for the challenger! Sensing it was now-or-never, Cactus used his finisher (which was his first time using it this whole match) on Warrior! This time, it was Warrior’s turn to kick out! The fans were going crazy at this point! They knew that no matter who won this match, it would be tough to beat this bout as “Match of the Year”! Warrior was about to catch his second-wind, but Cactus caught Warrior with his finisher again! This time, there was no kick out from Warrior, and Cactus won the match and the Heavyweight Belt in the longest bout of the PPV! Cactus wins with his finisher-DOUBLE ARM DDT in a time of 29:08, thus Cactus becomes the NEW T.A.G. Heavyweight Champion!
T.A.G. HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION: Cactus Jack T.A.G. TELEVISION CHAMPION: “Ravishing” Rick Rude T.A.G. TEAM CHAMPIONS: T.A.G. WOMEN'S CHAMPION: Jazz

A Traitor In Our MidstFiled under: Benedict Arnold > Frank GotchWell, the cat is finally out of the bag! Frank Gotch turned on his tag partner Bruno Sammartino at the last T.A.G. Pay-Per-View! In front of a nation-wide audience, Gotch decked out the proud Italian with his half of the T.A.G. Team Belts! Money Inc came down to ringside right after that and proceeded to lay the smackdown on Sammartino until Bruno was saved by Pedro Morales and Antonino Rocca. "I don't know what's gotten into Frank," Bruno said as he was being bandaged up backstage. "He's never seemed like the greedy type to me, but then again, maybe I never knew the man." Hopefully, Frank Gotch will come to his senses soon, and return to Champion's Honor, but for now at least, it looks like Money Inc will have something to laugh about. Who Can It Be Now?Filed under: Managers > Rick RudeJust what does “Ravishing” Rick Rude in store for the wrestling world, one can only guess! He may be the new T.A.G. Television Champion, but he refuses to tell PerezHogan who his new manager is! All Rude will say is that the wheels are in motion to execute a plan that he has had ever since joining the fed. What is this plan? Rude and his new manager know, but they are not telling... They could not win any belts or become the Number One Contenders for any titles either (Savage is still upset at losing the Number One Contender match to Cactus Jack, especially since Cactus went on to become the new T.A.G. Heavyweight Champion). Our sources say that The Rock approached Ted DiBiase with an unspecified amount of cash, and was able to convince DiBiase to let Lesnar join The Rock & Randy Savage. This new trio, going by the name of " Rock Solid", should prove to be a force to contend with in T.A.G. for some time to come! Down Goes Warrior!Filed under: New Champions > Cactus JackAll hail the new T.A.G. Heavyweight Champion, Cactus Jack! The match for the title at the PPV was a 5-star instant classic, surely to go down as one of the greatest matches ever in T.A.G., if not in wrestling history itself! Each combatant gave it their all, and the fans appreciated what a great match it was! "I did what I had to do out there tonight," Cactus said after his win. "It was one of my greatest matches ever, and no one can say otherwise. Hats off to Ultimate Warrior who brought out the best in me tonight! He is a class-act." Everyone was surprised Cactus pulled out the win, but that is the way it is in wrestling: On any given night, any wrestler can beat another. Cactus Jack added, "I am just glad to be able to represent one of the finest federations in the LWA. My time here has been enjoyable to say the least. I promise to all the fans that I will continue to give my all for them. That's all that I've got to say. Bang, bang!" Women's Champion in the form of Jazz, what about the fact that all the female wrestlers currently in T.A.G. will be gone by May 1? T.A.G. General Manager Ted Arcidi had this to say: "T.A.G. will be discontinuing the Women's Title, obviously. Jazz has already returned the Women's Belt to T.A.G.'s main office, and we wish her well in her career when she leaves here. As of right now, the Women's Belt is vacated, but the future may bring a revival if T.A.G. can sign more women to its roster.” Permalink / 0 comments (RSS) / E-mail it >>
