Thanks, guys! Things are looking great here, whoo-hoo!CARD 70: LIVE T.A.G. TV Show Taping, Friday May 2, 2008 @ the Alumni Hall -- Providence, RI General Manager Ted Arcidi was standing in the ring with The Rock as the night's matches started. "May I be the first to wish you a very Happy Birthday, Rock! And congratulations on procuring the contract of Brock Lesnar recently." Arcidi shook The Rock's hand, then continued. "I have some good news and some bad news for you tonight, Rock. First, the good news: You get to wrestle against the new T.A.G. Heavyweight Champion tonight!" The Rock seemed pleased by this, and so did the crowd. "The bad news is, it's only going to be a non-title bout, sorry." The Rock accepted this, and shook Arcidi's hand again. "Anyway, Rock, I wish you the best of luck tonight. But I have some other business to attend to, so won't you stay and welcome my next guest with me?" The Rock nodded. "Please welcome one-half of the former T.A.G. Team Champions -- FRANK GOTCH!" The crowd did not like that at all! A chorus of boos was rained down upon Gotch as he made his way to the ring. "Traitor, traitor, traitor," could be heard all over the arena. "Thank you, Mr. Arcidi! It's so good to be back in Rhode Island!" "Mr, Gotch," Arcidi continued, "I hope you like what I am about to say to you: Tonight, you get to go against one of your old teammates from Champion's Honor! None other than Pedro Morales!" Gotch was happy about the match-up and stated, "I will take him on anytime, anywhere!" "Good," Arcidi added, "because you have a Steel Cage match against Morales later on tonight!" Gotch acknowledged this, not sure whether this was a good thing or a bad thing. The matches, however, were signed, and the night was about to begin...
MATCH 1: "QUICKDRAW" RICK MCGRAW VS "IRON" MIKE DIBIASE Mike DiBiase wins with his finisher-TOP ROPE KNEEDROP in a time of 1:01.
MATCH 2: AL SNOW VS BROCK LESNAR Snow wins in an upset with his finisher-SNOW PLOW in a time of 2:10.
MATCH 3: BARRY WINDHAM VS TED ARCIDI (with Al Madril) It took one finisher and five pin attempts for Windham to put Arcidi away for the win. Barry Windham wins his debut match with a Powerslam in a time of 4:11.
MATCH 4: ANTONINO ROCCA & BRUNO SAMMARTINO VS HEADBANGERS MOSH & THRASHER As the match started out, Rocca used his finisher twice on Mosh very quickly. Rocca then got another pin attempt on the already-groggy Mosh. Sammartino was tagged in and pounded on Thrasher once Mosh had tagged. One finisher from Sammartino, and it was all over. Rocca & Sammartino win when Bruno uses his finisher-BEARHUG on Thrasher in a time of 3:18.
MATCH 5: RICK MARTEL VS "LATIN HEARTTHROB" AL PEREZ Martel was disqualified in a time of 3:22.
MATCH 6: MANNY FERNANDEZ VS "MILLION DOLLAR MAN" TED DIBIASE Fernandez started out fast out of the gate. Two pin attempts, and Manny thought he was on his way to a quick, easy win. Far from it, as Ted DiBiase came back by using his finisher three times in a row. Manny fought back though, and got another pin attempt on DiBiase. However, Frank Gotch came to the ring and interfered, which resulted in DiBiase being DQed. Manny wins when Ted DiBiase was disqualified due to Frank Gotch's interference in a time of 3:43.
MATCH 7: ULTIMATE WARRIOR VS AL MADRIL Warrior wins when Madril was disqualified due to Al Perez's interference in a time of 4:56.
MATCH 8: PEDRO MORALES VS FRANK GOTCH -- STEEL CAGE Morales had the first pin attempt of the match, but Gotch turned it around with a big move that got him a pin attempt on Pedro. Following this up, Gotch used his finisher and went on to win. Gotch wins after using his finisher-GOTCH TOEHOLD in a time of 5:26.
MATCH 9: "RUSSIAN NIGHTMARE" NIKITA KOLOFF VS "MACHO MAN" RANDY SAVAGE Randy Savage quickly began his assault on Koloff, as he was able to get two pin attempts on the big Russian early on. Koloff came back by using his finisher twice on Savage. Now it was time for Savage to make a comeback. Savage nailed Koloff with his finisher, but could not get the win. Obviously tired from the onslaught, Koloff was counted-out later and lost the match. Savage wins when Koloff was counted-out in a time of 3:37.
MATCH 10: T.A.G. HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION CACTUS JACK (with Al Snow) VS THE ROCK (with Randy Savage) -- NON-TITLE BOUT The Rock wins when Cactus Jack was disqualified in a time of 3:09, thus The Rock receives a Title Bout on the next fight card!

LOL, Tommy! Yeah, but he's improving! Wait till he teams up with Tony Garea later this month in my fed! CARD 71: LIVE T.A.G. TV Show Taping, Saturday May 3, 2008 @ the MassMutual Center, Springfield, MA It was time for Rick Rude to let everyone know who his new manager was. He was standing alone in the ring with a microphone in hand. "Cut the music! Yeah, I bet everyone wants to know who it is." Long pause as the crowd reacted. A big smile crossed Rude's face as he continued. "It's someone you'd least likely think it is. Without further ado... let me introduce my new manager -- SHEIK ADNAN AL-KAISSIE!" Down the rampway came the Arabian manager, spouting gibberish with his Arabian tongue. When Al-Kaissie reached the ring, he was handed the mic, and (in between more Arabian gibberish) said, "Thank you, Mr. Rude. I have managed great wrestlers, from the likes of Bob Orton to Sgt Slaughter, from Ken Patera to Barbarian Nord. And I must say that YOU, Mr. Rude, tops them all! We, as a team, are destined for greatness! By Allah, greatness will be ours!" The crowd booed very loudly and threw garbage in the ring. "As a friend of the late Suddam Hussein, I am sure he would approve of our union, and there just may be a surprise or two in store for the fans of this federation along the way as we take over this pitiful American league!"
MATCH 1: "QUICKDRAW" RICK MCGRAW VS BROCK LESNAR (with The Rock) This match was all McGraw, surprisingly. Two pin attempts and two finishers had Lesnar reeling. Lesnar managed a small bit of offense when The Rock interfered for him, but the rest of the match was all McGraw, as he went on to get the upset in an impressive manner! McGraw gets the upset with a Quickdraw Suplex in a time of 8:16.
MATCH 2: RICK MARTEL VS HEADBANGER MOSH (with Thrasher) This was clearly not Mosh's match, as Martel used his finisher five times to secure the win. Martel wins with his finisher-SLEEPERHOLD in a time of 8:00.
MATCH 3: BARRY WINDHAM VS "LATIN HEARTTHROB" AL PEREZ (with Ted Arcidi) Barry wins with his finisher-SWEETWATER SUPLEX in a time of 3:08.
MATCH 4: PEDRO MORALES & ANTONINO ROCCA VS TED ARCIDI & AL MADRIL Morales & Rocca win when Madril was disqualified due to Arcidi's interference in a time of 0:29.
MATCH 5: ULTIMATE WARRIOR VS HEADBANGER THRASHER (with Mosh) Warrior wins when Thrasher was disqualified due to Mosh's interference in a time of 5:06.
MATCH 6: BRUNO SAMMARTINO VS "IRON" MIKE DIBIASE These two exchanged finishers in the early stages of the match. Sammartino proved to be the better man this match, however, as he used his finisher again and followed it up with the pin! Sammartino wins with Power Forearms in a time of 6:40.
MATCH 7: T.A.G. TELEVISION CHAMPION RICK RUDE (with Sheik Adnan) VS AL SNOW -- NON-TITLE Rude dominated the match from start to finish. Snow had no other choice than to try to gain the upper hand by calling down Cactus Jack. Cactus & Snow were DQed for double-teaming Rude. Rude wins by disqualification when Cactus Jack interfered in a time of 2:49.
MATCH 8: MANNY FERNANDEZ VS FRANK GOTCH Neither wrestler gave the other any clear openings this match! It was a five-star match from the very start! Gotch started with his finisher. Fernandez countered with a Neckbreaker for a pin attempt. Manny followed this up by using his finisher twice! Gotch got a pin attempt when Fernandez missed a Deathjump! Fernandez came back with a pin attempt and his finisher again! Gotch still would not go down and countered with his finisher! Two submission holds after that, and it was a hard-fought victory for Gotch! (Each guy had at least four fatigue tokens!) Frank Gotch wins with a Guillotine Choke in a time of 16:09.
MATCH 9: T.A.G. HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION CACTUS JACK VS THE ROCK -- TITLE BOUT It was time for The Rock to put up or shut up! He had the Heavyweight Belt in his sights and he was not about to let it slip through his fingers. One pin attempt by The Rock led to him using his finisher on Cactus. Al Snow raced to ringside and saved his partner from certain defeat! The Rock remained on track, and hit Cactus again with his finisher, which was enough for the win! The Rock wins with his finisher-ROCK BOTTOM in a time of 7:24, thus The Rock is the NEW T.A.G. Heavyweight Champion for the first time!

Arcidi wins with his finisher-BEARHUG in a time of 7:50.

Mike DiBiase got the first pin attempt of the bout against Martel. Martel managed to tag out, and Garea tried to put DiBiase away with an aerial move, but no luck. DiBiase came back with his finisher, then needed to tag out to Gotch. Martel rattled off a number of pin attempts on Gotch before he was able to tag to DiBiase. Mike did not do well against either Martel or Garea, and tagged in Gotch. Using good teamwork, Garea & Martel got quick pin attempts on Gotch and won the match! Garea & Martel win when Martel pins Gotch with a Bodyslam in a time of 28:14.
MATCH 5: NIKITA KOLOFF VS AL MADRIL This was a match that was dominated by Koloff. Power moves were executed with perfection as the big Russian looked for a convincing victory. Koloff wins when Al Madril was disqualified due to Al Perez's interference in a time of 5:52.
MATCH 6: ANTONINO ROCCA & BRUNO SAMMARTINO VS BROCK LESNAR & "MACHO MAN" RANDY SAVAGE (with Elizabeth) This was a match that Randy Savage did not want to lose, and it showed. He started the match against Antonino Rocca, and was all over him from the opening bell. One pin attempt followed by his finisher, then two more pin attempts from the Macho Man had Rocca wondering why he signed up for this match. MATCH 8: MAGNUM T.A. & NIKITA KOLOFF VS BROCK LESNAR & "MACHO MAN" RANDY SAVAGE (with Elizabeth) Savage started out quickly against Magnum T.A., as he got a pin attempt on him, then used his finisher. Koloff broke up the pin attempt, and Magnum soon made his way over for the tag. Savage tagged in Lesnar, and the match went on. Lesnar gained the momentum and then only needed to use his finisher once to get the victory for his team in this match-up. Lesnar & Savage win when Lesnar used his finisher-- F-5 on Koloff in a time of 12:27.
MATCH 9: BRUNO SAMMARTINO VS TED ARCIDI (with Al Madril) Sammartino started out in control of the match, using each of his finishers on Arcidi. Ted fought back and used his finisher twice on Sammartino! This surprised the crowd, and Bruno nearly submitted to Arcidi's finisher! TV Show Taping, Sunday May 25, 2008 @ the Tsongas Arena -- Lowell, MA MATCH 1: "QUICKDRAW" RICK MCGRAW VS "KILLER" TIM BROOKS Brooks wanted to win right away and tried to put McGraw away by using his finisher twice, but no luck. Pulling out the chain, Brooks then beat McGraw with it. McGraw made a comeback with his finisher, but Brooks did not let that stop him, as Brooks went on to win by pinfall. Brooks wins with a series of Stomps in the corner in a time of 4:10.
MATCH 2: PEDRO MORALES & ANTONINO ROCCA VS MOSH & THRASHER Morales & Rocca win when Mosh was disqualified against Morales in a time of 3:58.
MATCH 3: TONY GAREA VS "MILLION DOLLAR MAN" TED DIBIASE After exchanging pin attempts and finishers, Garea took over and won with his finisher. Garea wins with his finisher-ABDOMINAL STRETCH in a time of 7:19.
MATCH 4: "RAGING BULL" MANNY FERNANDEZ VS TED ARCIDI Arcidi looked to be in control once Fernandez ran head-first into the turnbuckle, but then Manny came back with a Sleeper and followed it up by using his finisher twice and went on to win. Fernandez wins by using his finisher-FLYING BURRITO two times in a row in a time of 10:55.
MATCH 5: MAGNUM T.A. & NIKITA KOLOFF VS AL MADRIL & AL PEREZ Perez started out fast against the Russian. Two quick pin attempts, and Koloff looked on the verge of defeat. Koloff managed a slight comeback with a pin attempt before tagging in Magnum. Perez went to work on Magnum then, and tagged in Madril to continue the assault. Koloff was tagged back in and nearly fell to Madril's finisher. Nikita then gained control of the match, and Madril tagged Perez back in. Koloff went for the tag and Magnum wasted no more time in getting the victory in typical Magnum way by using his finisher to end the match. Magnum & Koloff win when Magnum uses his finisher-BELLY-TO-BELLY SUPLEX on Perez in a time of 16:53.
MATCH 6: NUMBER ONE CONTENDER BOUT FOR T.A.G. TELEVISION BELT -- BARRY WINDHAM VS "IRON" MIKE DIBIASE (with Ted DiBiase) Although Barry Windham got the first pin attempt of the match, "Iron" Mike DiBiase took charge with his finisher, and followed that up with another! Barry Windham looked pretty out of it, but apparently was playing possum, as he sprang to life around the three minute mark and hit Mike DiBiase with his finisher out of nowhere catching DiBiase by surprise to win the match! Barry wins with his finisher-FLYING LARIAT in a time of 3:05, thus Windham faces the T.A.G. Television Champion for the Belt at the PPV!
MATCH 7: CACTUS JACK & AL SNOW VS BROCK LESNAR & THE ROCK The Rock gets the win for his team by pinfall fairly quickly. Lesnar & The Rock win when The Rock pins Al Snow with a Spinebuster Slam in a time of 2:19.
MATCH 8: NUMBER ONE CONTENDER BOUT FOR T.A.G. HEAVYWEIGHT BELT -- BRUNO SAMMARTINO VS FRANK GOTCH Bruno dominated the early part of the fight, using both of his finishers, but could not get the win. Gotch fought back and managed to use his finisher once in between two pin attempts he got on Sammartino. After the referee was accidentally bumped, Sammartino went for a Deathjump, only to meet the canvas! Gotch applied his finisher, but the ref was still out! Gotch then took over and got another pin attempt on Sammartino once the ref was awake again. The action spilled outside the ring, and the referee could not control the action, and called for a double DQ! Both wrestlers were disqualified in a time of 9:50. The General Manager will determine who faces the T.A.G. Heavyweight Champion for the Belt at the Pay-Per-View!
MATCH 9: ULTIMATE WARRIOR VS "MACHO MAN" RANDY SAVAGE -- STEEL CAGE It was put up or shut up time for Savage, as he had boasted he was the only wrestler in T.A.G. that could defeat the Warrior, and here was his chance. Warrior almost escaped the cage after a big power move though, and Savage knew it was not going to be easy to defeat the Warrior on this night. After surviving a finisher of the Warrior's, Savage kicked it up a notch and nearly escaped the cage when Warrior missed a Deathjump. Sensing it was now-or-never, Savage used his finisher not once, but twice! This gave Savage the time he needed to escape and win! Savage wins after using his finisher-FLYING ELBOW DROP in a time of 4:26.
MATCH 10: T.A.G. TELEVISION CHAMPION "RAVISHING" RICK RUDE (with Sheik Adnan) VS RICK MARTEL -- TITLE BOUT An easy match for Rude, as he quickly uses his finisher for the win. Rude wins with his finisher-RUDE AWAKENING in a time of 2:12.

[glow=black,2,300][/glow] CARD 75: Pay-Per-View on Saturday, May 31, 2008 @ the Dunkin' Donuts Center in Providence, RI Hulk Hogan was in the center of the ring as the Pay-Per-View started. "Well, you know somethin', brother? Hulk Hogan is here to do color commentary on this historic final fight card in T.A.G. and I couldn't be happier to be here! With all my Hulk-a-maniacs supporting T.A.G. tonight, I know that this will be the greatest Pay-Per-View in history!"

MATCH 4: PEDRO MORALES, ANTONINO ROCCA, & BRUNO SAMMARTINO VS MIKE DIBIASE, TED DIBIASE, & FRANK GOTCH After Rocca got a pin attempt on Ted DiBiase, Ted tried to tag out to Frank Gotch. When Gotch refused, Ted and Mike DiBiase proceeded to attack Gotch in their corner! The referee disqualified the DiBiases as a result of the assault! Bruno, Pedro, and Rocca went to the aid of Gotch before things got too out-of-hand! It was clear that whatever problems there were between Bruno Sammartino and Frank Gotch were now resolved as both men shook hands in the ring. Morales, Rocca, and Sammartino win when Ted DiBiase was disqualified against Rocca in a time of 9:24.
MATCH 5: RICK MARTEL (with Tony Garea) VS AL MADRIL (with Al Perez) After an exchange of finishers, Martel took over and went on to win over his opponent. Martel gets the win with a Short-arm Clothesline in a time of 9:42.
MATCH 6: "RAGING BULL" MANNY FERNANDEZ VS AL PEREZ (with Al Madril) Perez was clearly in control this match. Pin attempt after pin attempt by Perez had Fernandez frustrated to the point that Fernandez felt he needed to get himself DQed to end the match. Fernandez was disqualified in a time of 7:39.
MATCH 7: CACTUS JACK VS "MACHO MAN" RANDY SAVAGE (with Elizabeth) Savage hit his finisher twice in the match, keeping Cactus off-balance until Cactus was fed up with the way the match was going and got himself disqualified to give Savage the win. Cactus Jack was disqualified in a time of 11:22.
MATCH 8: T.A.G. TELEVISION CHAMPION RICK RUDE VS BARRY WINDHAM -- TITLE BOUT Rude seemed to have control of the match, but Windham was playing possum. When Ted Arcidi came to help Rude in his match, Rude held Windham up so that Arcidi could deliver a clothesline, but Windham ducked and Arcidi clotheslined Rude instead! Windham nearly got the pinfall, but Rude kicked out in time! Arcidi quickly retreated to the back, as Rude's manager, Sheik Adnan, came to ringside. Barry Windham had full control by now, and was on the verge of winning, when Sheik Adnan interfered and cost "Ravishing" Rick Rude the match. Rude was disqualified when Sheik Adnan interfered in a time of 5:47. The Belt does NOT change hands on a disqualification.
MATCH 9: "RUSSIAN NIGHTMARE" NIKITA KOLOFF VS BROCK LESNAR Koloff wins with his finisher-RUSSIAN SICKLE in a time of just 0:35!
MATCH 10: T.A.G. HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION THE ROCK VS ? Before the main event started, Ted Arcidi was in the middle of the ring. He had this to say to the crowd: "People, I know all of you are wondering what the main event match is for the T.A.G. Heavyweight Belt is. Well, here it is: It's an elimination bout between The Rock... Rick McGraw... and ME, Ted Arcidi!" The crowd acted negatively to this, and Arcidi responded, "How can you people boo? It's about time Rick McGraw gets his shot at the Heavyweight Belt! Oh, I forgot to mention, The Rock is away taking care of some family business so he won't be here tonight. As stated in his signed contract, The Rock did not notice the fine print that says, and I quote: 'In the event that the T.A.G. Heavyweight Champion cannot or does not appear for the scheduled title defense on May 31, then the General Manager may see fit to hold whatever type match he wishes, involving whatever wrestlers he names for the event'." The crowd REALLY reacted negatively to this. Arcidi added, "And accordingly, let me just say, that whoever gets the win tonight will be the final T.A.G. Heavyweight Champion for this federation, and may I add that NO OTHER wrestler on the T.A.G. roster can join this match, or they will face severe fines by the LWA! That's straight from the main office! In other words, no one from T.A.G is allowed to wrestle for the Belt tonight! It's just me versus Rick McGraw! Oh, and I meant to add that this is a no-disqualification match too! Hahahahahahha!" With that, the match was under way! McGraw hesitated entering the ring. He had no idea what was in store for him. Arcidi pounded on McGraw continuously in the early stages. Once Arcidi was confident enough he could get the win, Arcidi pulled out a pair of brass knuckles and landed the knock-out blow that sent McGraw crashing to the mat! Taunting the crowd, Arcidi gloated to the crowd but did not go for the pin. Instead, Arcidi continued to pound on the unconscious McGraw for several minutes!
Hulk Hogan, who had been doing color commentary for the match, had had enough and took a microphone down to the ring with him. "Arcidi, I have had enough of you pounding on the poor, defenseless McGraw! Why not take me on if you have the guts!" Arcidi's ego proved bigger than his ability in the ring, and Arcidi waved him in. "This is for all the marbles," Hogan added as he pointed at the T.A.G. Heavyweight Belt. Arcidi seemed to nod in agreement, since according to the stipulation of the match, Hogan was NOT a part of the T.A.G. roster and was indeed eligible to fight for the Belt in this match. Hogan motioned for the doctor at ringside to take Rick McGraw to the back for medical attention, and the doctor complied.
Arcidi surprisingly got the upper hand on Hogan after a few minutes, and went outside the ring. He grabbed a folded chair that had a padded seat and sprayed some lighter fluid on it. It was clear that Arcidi was going to light the seat on fire and use it against Hogan! Hogan saw what was happening, and stopped Arcidi from lighting the seat on fire. Hogan went on, in usual Hogan manner, to gain the upper hand and was ready to win the match! Then, Hogan remembered the chair. Hogan went outside the ring and lit the seat on fire and used it on Arcidi! Arcidi crashed to the mat, and Hogan got the ONE -- TWO -- THREE! In a match that lasted 22:16, there was a NEW T.A.G. Heavyweight Champion, and his name was HULK HOGAN!
As the PPV ended, the broadcasters questioned: Would Hogan be allowed to be T.A.G. Heavyweight Champion because he had NOT signed a contract prior to the match? McGraw had not been pinned, nor did he submit, so was the ruling going to stick since McGraw was never eliminated? What would be the consequences for Hogan using fire against Arcidi in this match? Only the LWA main office can answer these questions as T.A.G. closes its doors for good...
