[glow=red,2,300]ROCKY MOUNTAIN MADNESS[/glow] 1-17-08 Denver Coliseum Denver, CO
(RMM intro)
(Bill Apter and Gary Michael Cappetta are at the ringside announce position.)
Apter: Good evening and welcome to Rocky Mountain Madness. I’m Bill Apter, along with Gary Michael Cappetta, and we are coming off a stellar Super Rumble Classic.
GMC: Yes, surprises were a plenty on Sunday night. Maybe the biggest was the winner of the Classic itself.
Apter: Indeed. Wrestlers from RMWA, MAW and LLI competed and the winner was Dr. Wagner, Jr. from LLI.
GMC: That means Wagner will get a shot at Rocky Mountain Heavyweight Champion The Destroyer at the Rocky Mountain Wrestle Bowl on Sunday, January 27th.
Apter: Rocky Mountain Wrestle Bowl will feature six triple threat matches featuring the top ranked RMWA wrestlers in the heavyweight, cruiserweight and tag team divisions. The winners of those matches will make up two teams that will face each other in a six man tag team match. Then the members of the winning team will face each other in one final triple threat match to determine the winner of the Rocky Mountain Wrestle Bowl.
GMC: The winner receives a very nice trophy and a shot at the Rocky Mountain Heavyweight Champion at St. Valentine’s Day Massacre in February.
Apter: That’s still a few weeks off. We have a lot happening before then. For instance, LWA Storm Warning on Friday, January 25th, only on pay-per-view.
GMC: Matches already announced include Larry Hennig taking on Karl Krupp and The Steiners challenge the LWA National Tag Team Champions Jay Strongbow & Wahoo McDaniel for the titles.
Apter: Plus, our huge main event tonight.
GMC: It’s a triple threat match for the Rocky Mountain Tag Team Championship. Rick & Scott Steiner defend against Pierre & Damien Vachon and Sodogatake. Here are the events that led up to this match.
(Footage from RMM 1-10-08) Steiner pinned Timber after a FRANKENSTEINER. After the match Pierre & Damien Vachon attacked Steiner. Pierre seemed to be in charge, giving orders to both his brother and Timber. Pierre delivered both the LEGACY OF PAIN and a SIT OUT CHOKESLAM. Damien then locked in the PITBULL LOCK. Timber is about to bash Steiner with the barbed wire ax handle when a chair wielding Rick Steiner and RMWA officials run off the assailants.
(Footage from Super Rumble Classic) Kotokokina pinned Vachon with a running splash. After the match, Kotokokina nailed Vachon with the BANZAI DROP, leaving Vachon motionless on the mat.
(Ann Hollis, Abdullah Farouk and Sodogatake are in the dressing room interview area.)
Hollis: Mr. Farouk, why did Kotokokina attack Damien Vachon following their match.
Farouk: I applaud you young lady on cutting to the chase. The answer is simple. The Vachons want a title shot. Well, that’s Sodogatake’s title shot they’re after. Kotokokina was just eliminating the competition.
Apter: Also tonight we have a huge six man tag grudge match. LWA Unified IC Champion “Dr. Death” Steve Williams, Scott Norton & Ultimo Dragon face off against The Collective. Let’s go to the ring for our opening contest.
The Grappler vs. Iceman Parsons Grappler pinned Parsons following a short arm clothesline. Grappler is leaving the ring area when he is attacked by 2 Cold Scorpio and Scorpio rammed Grappler head first into the ring post.
Apter: Scorpio and Parsons win a no holds barred match with the Vachons last week and they move on to their next victim.
(break)
Mr. Olympia vs. Danny Hodge Olympia pinned Hodge after Hodge missed a turnbuckle charge.
(break)
Apter: Welcome back. Jason Marcus is in the dressing room to talk to 2 Cold Scorpio before our next match.
(Jason Marcus and 2 Cold Scorpio are in the dressing room interview area.)
Marcus: Thanks, Bill. 2 Cold Scorpio, you had quite a win last week.
Scorpio: Ya think? Well you’re d**n right we had a great win last week. That’s right, I said we. My man the Iceman was there too. And how do the suits in this company reward us? I get my contract renewed and Iceman gets kicked to the curb.
Marcus: What are you talking about?
Scorpio: Iceman’s contract wasn’t renewed bitch. Ask me what I’m talking about? I should slap the taste right out of your mouth.
Marcus: You didn’t have to agree to resign.
Scorpio: You’re pushing your luck Brillo head. I wouldn’t have had I known Iceman wasn’t being resigned. So from now on, I’m doing what the hell I want. You saw me jump that masked fool earlier? There’s more of that nuts where that came from. Now, get the hell out my way. I gotta match bitch.
Marcus: Wow, a very disgruntled 2 Cold Scorpio. Back to you at ringside.
2 Cold Scorpio vs. Larry “The Axe” Hennig (w/Harley Race) Scorpio looked really good in this match but Hennig finally got the pin after a double forearm hammer.
(break)
Non-title Match Timber “The Insane Lumberjack” vs. Rocky Mountain Television Champion Bison Smith Timber showed his toughness by kicking out after a BISONTENIAL but Smith finally got the pin after a top rope huricanrana.
(break)
Apter: The Collective has been conducting a reign of terror not seen for many years.
GMC: Can the group of men assembled to face them tonight put a monkey wrench into their plans of dominance?
Apter: What is this? Bob Backlund has come to ringside and he’s toting his notebook again.
LWA Unified IC Champion “Dr. Death” Steve Williams, Scott Norton & Ultimo Dragon vs. The Sheik, Fritz Von Goering & Killer Khan (w/Abdullah Farouk) Norton pinned Khan after a JURASSIC BREAKER.
(break)
Apter: Farouk’s team of three was unsuccessful. Will his large team of two find redemption for that earlier loss?
Rocky Mountain Tag Team Title Match Sodogatake (Kototenzan & Kotokokina w/Abdullah Farouk) vs. Pierre & Damien Vachon vs. Rocky Mountain Tag Team Champions Rick & Scott Steiner This was a wild match. All three teams pounded on each other. The Vachons claimed they weren’t getting respect and may’ve earned it with this match. After a long match, Damien forced Kototenzan to the second turnbuckle and delivered an amazing exploder suplex and got the pin.
Apter: Unbelievable. The Vachons called their shot and they delivered.
GMC: Pierre and Damien Vachon are the new Rocky Mountain Tag Team Champions.
Apter: How did Damien get Kototenzan up in that suplex?
GMC: I’m still in awe.
Apter: That’s all the time we have tonight. We’ll see you next time, for Gary Michael Cappetta, I’m Bill Apter saying we’ll see you at the matches.

[glow=red,2,300]THE JASON MARCUS CHRONICLES #3[/glow] (Jason Marcus is backstage after Rocky Mountain Madness.)
Marcus: Here we are with another edition of the Jason Marcus Chronicles. I’m still stunned by what we just witnessed. Pierre & Damien Vachon, in what most would consider an upset, defeated Sodogatake and the Steiners in a triple threat match to win the Rocky Mountain Tag Team Titles. The Vachons are finishing their celebration in the ring and I’ll try to get a word with them when they get back here. Until then, let’s see who I can get a word with. Hey there’s Larry “The Axe” Hennig and Harley Race. Mr. Race, Mr. Hennig a word, please?
Race: Sure, no problem.
Marcus: Thank you Mr. Race. First off, Axe, congratulations on a great win here tonight.
Hennig: Thanks, Jason. Timber proved to be a tough competitor tonight, absorbing a lot of punishment, but in the end he was no match for The Axe.
Marcus: Now, Mr. Race, you seem to be picking your battles. What’s going on with you?
Race: I’ll be honest Jason, I’ve been nursing some nagging injuries. I’m back to 100% though and should be seeing more action.
Marcus: Speaking of which, I’ve heard a rumor you’re going to face Ric Flair at Storm Warning.
Race: Yeah, that piece of trash is refusing to shake my hand and admit I’m the better wrestler. I guess I’m going to have to beat his ass again to get his respect. Tell you what Ric. Let’s do it like we did it in the old days. Let’s get this done in a steel cage.
Marcus: Whoa, what a challenge.
Race: Yeah, well, we’ll see. If you’ll excuse me, The Axe and I want to go get a bite to eat.
Marcus: No problem, thanks for the time. Hey it looks like the Vachons are back. I’ll try to get a word. Guys, you’ve done your family name proud.
Pierre: You’re d**n right we did. What my brother did out there was amazing.
Marcus: You got that right. Damien, what were you thinking?
Damien: I wasn’t. I just got that big son of a bitch up as high as I could and rolled back. I made d**n sure I got my upper body the hell out of the way.
Marcus: So where do you guys go from here?
Pierre: Where do you think we go punk? We go through any team that tries to take these belts from us. C’mon Damien, let’s go pop the champagne.
Marcus: There you go, the new Rocky Mountain Tag Team Champions. We’re out of time. I hope you’ll join me next time for The Jason Marcus Chronicles. Good night.

[glow=red,2,300]ROCKY MOUNTAIN MADNESS[/glow] 1-24-08 Denver Coliseum Denver, CO
(RMM intro)
(Bill Apter and Gary Michael Cappetta sit at the ringside announce table.)
Apter: Good evening and welcome to another edition of Rocky Mountain Madness. I’m Bill Apter, along with Gary Michael Cappetta, and we have a very busy weekend.
GMC: That’s right, Bill. Tomorrow night, live from Calgary and only on pay-per-view it’s Storm Warning. Rick & Scott Steiner challenge the LWA National Tag Team Champions Wahoo McDaniel and Jay Strongbow for the belts. Killer Khan challenges LWA Unified IC Champion “Dr. Death” Steve Williams for his title. Larry Hennig takes on Killer Krupp and Harley Race faces “Nature Boy” Ric Flair in a steel cage to settle their differences once and for all.
Apter: Then on Sunday, it’s the Rocky Mountain Wrestle Bowl where top contenders from all title divisions battle to determine who will face the Rocky Mountain Heavyweight Champion at St. Valentine’s Day Massacre in February.
GMC: So, needless to say, there’s quite a bit of action happening this weekend.
Apter: But first we have to get through tonight’s matches. Let’s head to the ring.
Iceman Parsons vs. Kotokokina (w/Kototenzan) Kotokokina missed two BANZAI DROPS and Parsons capitalized on the second one. Parsons connected with two BUTT BUTTS but could not get the victory. Kotokokina came back and pinned Parsons with a third BANZAI DROP.
(break)
Apter: Our next match features “Sick” Nick Mondo who put in a spectacular performance at the Rassle Royal in Memphis earlier this week.
Chris Candido (w/Tammy Sytch) vs. “Sick” Nick Mondo Candido attempted a move from the top rope and Mondo caught him with the ASSAULT DRIVER and made the pin.
(break)
Timber “The Insane Lumberjack” vs. Fritz Von Goering This was a bruising back and forth contest. Goering won with the BACKBREAKER.
(break)
Kototenzan (w/Kotokokina) vs. Mr. Olympia This was a very tough battle. Olympia scored the upset with a SLEEPERHOLD.
Apter: Unbelievable. Last week, Kototenzan lost the Triple Threat Match after Damien Vachon executed an exploder suplex from the second turnbuckle and tonight Mr. Olympia put him to sleep.
GMC: I’m sure Abdullah Farouk is watch from his hotel in Calgary as he and Killer Khan prepare for Khan’s match tomorrow and I’m sure he isn’t pleased.
(break)
The Grappler vs. 2 Cold Scorpio Grappler won by disqualification when Scorpio threw him into the ring post despite the ref’s warning.
(break)
Apter: As I mentioned before the Vachons captured the Rocky Mountain Tag Team Championship last week in a Triple Threat Match
(Footage from RMM 1-17-08) After a long match, Damien forced Kototenzan to the second turnbuckle and delivered an amazing exploder suplex and got the pin.
Non-title Match Danny Hodge & Ultimo Dragon vs. Rocky Mountain Tag Team Champions Pierre & Damien Vachon The ref disqualified Pierre after he nailed Dragon with a barbed wire wrapped fist.
(break)
Apter: It’s time for our main event. Abdullah Farouk obviously isn’t here tonight so Fritz Von Goering has accompanied The Sheik to the ring. Let’s see if it makes a difference.
Rocky Mountain Heavyweight Title Match The Sheik (w/Fritz Von Goering) vs. The Destroyer Destroyer made Sheik submit to a FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK.
Apter: The champ retains his title.
GMC: Farouk’s boys went 2-2 tonight. Not sure how he’s going to react to that.
Apter: Guess we’ll find out next week and we’ll deal with the aftermath from Storm Warning and the Rocky Mountain Wrestle Bowl. Until then, for Gary Michael Cappetta, I’m Bill Apter saying we’ll see you at the matches.

[glow=red,2,300]ROCKY MOUNTAIN WRESTLE BOWL[/glow] 1-27-08 Dome of Doom Arena-Auditorium Laramie, WY
(RMWB intro)
(Bill Apter and Gary Michael Cappetta sit at the ringside announce position.)
Apter: Good evening and welcome to the Rocky Mountain Wrestle Bowl. I’m Bill Apter, along with Gary Michael Cappetta, and what a great concept tournament we have here tonight.
GMC: It is indeed. The way this works is we have six preliminary Triple Threat Matches. The winners of those matches will make up two teams that will face each other in a six-man tag match. Then the winners of that match face off in one final Triple Threat Match to determine the winner of the Rocky Mountain Wrestle Bowl.
Apter: The winner receives a four foot tall trophy and a shot at the Rocky Mountain Heavyweight Champion in the main event at St. Valentine’s Day Massacre next month.
GMC: In addition to the tournament tonight, we have the winner of the Super Rumble Classic, Dr. Wagner, Jr. here to challenge Rocky Mountain Heavyweight Champion The Destroyer for the title.
Apter: I’m really looking forward to tonight’s action. Let’s go to the ring.
Harley Race vs. Danny Hodge vs. Rick Steiner Race missed a cross body block and Steiner made the pin.
(break)
The Sheik (w/Abdullah Farouk) vs. Rocky Mountain Cruiserweight Champion Tiger Mask vs. Pierre Vachon Tiger Mask, making his return to the ring after being injured, was busted open by Pierre when Pierre decked Mask with a barbed wire wrapped fist. Tiger Mask had blood pouring out through his mask and to add insult to injury The Sheik ground his spike into Mask’s mask covered forehead. Then Sheik locked a barely conscious Tiger Mask in the CAMEL CLUTCH and the ref rang the bell, possibly saving Tiger Mask’s career.
Apter: That match got out of control in a hurry.
GMC: And it looks like Tiger Mask wasn’t as seriously injured as we thought. Although bleeding severely it looks like he’s making his was to the dressing room under his own power.
Apter: Barely.
(break)
“Sick” Nick Mondo vs. Ultimo Dragon vs. Kototenzan (w/Abdullah Farouk) Ultimo Dragon made Kototenzan submit to a leg lock submission.
Apter: I’d have to say that was an upset.
GMC: Or at least unexpected.
(break)
Rocky Mountain Television Champion Bison Smith vs. Fritz Von Goering (w/Abdullah Farouk) vs. Scott Steiner Steiner was knocked into the ring post early and Smith quickly pinned Von Goering after an iron claw slam.
Apter: Wow! That had to be the fastest Triple Threat Match I’ve ever seen.
GMC: Yeah, Bison Smith didn’t mess around. Scott Steiner was put down early and Smith capitalized on the opening and put Von Goering on the mat before Abdullah Farouk could do anything.
(break)
LWA Unified IC Champion “Dr. Death” Steve Williams (w/“All American Boy” Bob Backlund) vs. Timber “The Insane Lumberjack” vs. Kotokokina (w/Abdullah Farouk) Kotokokina pinned Williams with a BANZAI DROP.
(break)
Larry Hennig vs. Killer Khan (w/Abdullah Farouk) vs. Damien Vachon Khan beat Hennig with a MONGOLIAN KNEE DROP. After the match, Fritz Von Goering came to the ring and attacked Hennig. Von Goering delivered two devastating BACKBREAKERS to Hennig before Harley Race made it to the ring to run The Collective off.
Apter: The Collective had been quiet for a couple of weeks. You knew it had to be only a matter of time before they struck.
GMC: Yeah, but from what I understand there’s a new force entering the RMWA that’s going to take care of The Collective.
(break)
Apter: It’s time to take a break from the tournament action.
Chris Candido (w/Tammy Sytch) vs. 2 Cold Scorpio Candido beat Scorpio with a BLONDE BOMB.
(break)
Apter: Now this is an interesting turn of events.
GMC: It certainly is. It’s time for the six-man tag portion of our tournament and on one side we have Rick Steiner, The Sheik and Ultimo Dragon. On the other it’s Bison Smith, Kotokokina and Fritz Von Goering.
Apter: Collective members on opposite sides of the ring. It will be interesting to see how this works out.
Rick Steiner, The Sheik (w/Abdullah Farouk) & Ultimo Dragon vs. Bison Smith, Kotokokina & Fritz Von Goering This match didn’t work out well for Bison Smith. Farouk came out with The Sheik, which was puzzling considering the other two Collective members on the other team. The reason why was that Kotokokina & Fritz Von Goering didn’t come out at all making the match a three on one. The Sheik made sure he started the match by attacking Bison Smith before the bell then The Sheik refused to tag. The Sheik also kept the action away from his corner so his other team members couldn’t tag themselves in. The Sheik produced his spike and attempted to rearrange Smith’s face with it. Smith was a bloody mess but would not submit to The Sheik’s CAMEL CLUTCH. The Sheik became visibly frustrated and hooked the spike under Smith’s chin for the final CAMEL CLUTCH. Due to blood loss and the spike cutting off Smith’s oxygen, Smith passed out and the ref rang the bell.
Apter: Farouk obviously has a plan in place.
GMC: And that plan must be for The Sheik to face the Rocky Mountain Heavyweight Champion at St. Valentine’s Day Massacre.
Apter: That may be true but The Sheik still has to meet Rick Steiner and Ultimo Dragon tonight in the finals of the Rocky Mountain Super Bowl.
(break)
Scott Norton vs. Iceman Parsons Norton was disqualified for bodyslaming Parsons on the concrete floor on the outside of the ring.
(break)
Rick Steiner vs. The Sheik (w/Abdullah Farouk) vs. Ultimo Dragon Dragon missed a QUEBREDA PRESS and The Sheik put him in the CAMEL CLUTCH while Steiner was down on the outside. The Sheik cranked back and Dragon was forced to submit.
Apter: It looks like Farouk’s plan has come to fruition.
GMC: That does seem to be the case.
Apter: The only thing left to find out is who is going to be the champ when St. Valentine’s Day Massacre rolls around.
(break)
Apter: Time for the main event of the evening.
Rocky Mountain Heavyweight Title Match Dr. Wagner, Jr. vs. Rocky Mountain Heavyweight Champion The Destroyer Both men shook hands before the match. After a little back and forth, The Destroyer got Wagner in the FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK and Wagner quickly submitted.
Apter: Piece of cake for the champ.
GMC: It was indeed. I guarantee The Sheik won’t be quite as easy to crack at St. Valentine’s Day Massacre.
Apter: I agree. Well that’s all the time we have for tonight. For Gary Michael Cappetta, I’m Bill Apter saying we’ll see you at the matches.

[glow=red,2,300]SATURDAY NIGHT’S MAIN EVENT[/glow] 2-2-08 John A. Wilson Complex Las Vegas, NM
(SNME intro)
Apter: Welcome to another edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event. I’m Bill Apter, along with Gary Michael Cappetta, here to bring you a great night of wrestling action.
GMC: The winner of the Rocky Mountain Wrestle Bowl, The Sheik, is here tonight and gets a shot at the Rocky Mountain Television Title.
Apter: In another feature bout, Larry “The Axe” Hennig faces Fritz Von Goering in a Lumberjack Match.
GMC: And in our main event, Rick and Scott Steiner get a chance to regain the Rocky Mountain Tag Team Title from Pierre and Damien Vachon.
Apter: Also tonight, I will have Bob Backlund in the Hot Seat. And speaking of Mr. Backlund, he’s in our opening match.
“All American Boy” Bob Backlund vs. 2 Cold Scorpio Backlund pinned Scorpio with a surprise sunset flip after a very competitive match.
(break)
(Back from the break and Bill Apter is on the set of the Hot Seat.)
Apter: Please welcome to the Hot Seat, Bob Backlund.
(A giddy Backlund comes onto the set waving a small American flag.)
You definitely seem to be excited.
Backlund: That’s because I live in such a great country. The U.S.A. is the greatest county in the world.
Apter: Very well then. Recently you’ve been seen at ringside taking notes during matches involving The Collective. What’s that all about?
Backlund: A while ago, I received a call from a frantic Destroyer. He said that while he was trying to defend RMWA against the outside forces of evil, there was an evil inside this organization ripping it apart. I had to come behold for myself and sure enough, The Collective was responsible for that evil. I’ve decided to make it my mission to rid the RMWA of The Collective.
Apter: Bob, how do you expect to do that. There’s five of them and one of you.
Backlund: I’m glad you asked that, Bill. For starters you may call me All American Boy. I am the newest threat against evildoers in RMWA. Secondly, it’s not just me. I’ve assembled a team to help me. As you may’ve noticed I’ve been appearing in the corner of “Dr. Death”. He is the first member of the Fox Force Five.
Apter: You’re calling yourselves the Fox Force Five?
Backlund: You betcha.
(Mr. Olympia and The Grappler join Backlund on the set.)
Also, joining the group are the two men that are joining me right now. They are the Masked Avengers.
Apter: I see. Now who is the fifth member going to be.
Backlund: I will reveal him later on tonight.
(Suddenly The Collective – Abdullah Farouk, The Sheik, Fritz Von Goering and Killer Khan – appears on the set.)
Abdullah Farouk: This is a joke, right? You guys come out here thinking you’re superheroes and you’re going to remove us from the RMWA?
Backlund: That’s the plan, my man. And we’re going to start at St. Valentine’s Day Massacre. The three of us challenge three members of The Collective to a match. Whichever man on your team loses, he has to leave RMWA.
Farouk: Hold on there just a second. You said whichever man on my team loses. That isn’t going to happen.
Backlund: I disagree, but if you win, I’ll disband this group and you can continue to run roughshod over the RMWA.
Farouk: Deal. Oh and you better watch your backs because The Collective Reign of Terror continues tonight.
(break)
Masked Avengers (Mr. Olympia & The Grappler w/“All Amercian Boy” Bob Backlund) vs. Sodogatake (Kototenzan & Kotokokina w/Abdullah Farouk) Grappler pinned a severely weakened Kototenzan after a shortarm clothesline.
Apter: Holy cow! Last week Mr. Olympia put Kototenzan to sleep and this week Grappler wears him down enough to get the clean pin.
GMC: Yeah and look at Farouk give him an earful on the way back to the dressing room.
(break)
Killer Khan (w/Abdullah Farouk) vs. “Sick” Nick Mondo Mondo shot himself in the foot in a match he had complete control over when he was disqualified for clobbering Khan with a lead pipe he found under the ring.
Apter: Why’d he do that? He had this match going his way.
GMC: Sometimes habits are had to break.
(break)
Apter: Last weekend The Sheik won a grueling competition at the Rocky Mountain Wrestle Bowl. As a result he was awarded with the main event heavyweight title match at St. Valentine’s Massacre on the fourteenth.
GMC: It looks as if he’s also been awarded with a TV title match tonight.
Rocky Mountain Television Title Match The Sheik (w/Abdullah Farouk) vs. Rocky Mountain Television Champion Bison Smith Smith tried to beat Sheik with his decided strength advantage but The Sheik’s vicious tactics made this an even playing field. The Sheik got the count out victory when he gave Smith a piledriver on the concrete outside the ring and Smith couldn’t beat the ref’s ten count.
Apter: The Sheik is certainly on a roll.
GMC: He is indeed. The Destroyer may want to take notice.

Apter: It’s main event time.
GMC: Time to see if the Vachons are for real and can defend their belts against the former champs.
Rocky Mountain Tag Team Title Match Rick & Scott Steiner vs. Pierre & Damien Vachon The Vachons had a strategy and used it to their fullest advantage. They kept Scott in the match the entire time and wore him down until Damien made him submit to the PITBULL LOCK.
Apter: The Vachons just took a huge step toward proving themselves in the eyes of their family.
GMC: They took it right to the Steiners and look at this. Scotty is actually offering his hand. I can’t believe this ultimate show of respect as the Steiners and Vachons are shaking hands.
Apter: I think that’s a great way to end this evening. For Gary Michael Cappetta, I’m Bill Apter saying we’ll see you at the matches.
